Hello again Redemption fans, and welcome to Issue 4 of The Redemption Wrapup. We are back on track with all things Redemption, and with this issue you will begin to see a little bit of the West Coast Genesis flair. For those that do not know, WCG is our developmental brand. As they just hosted their first ever supercard crowning the first ever West Coast Champion, good things are coming from the SoCal brand.
But first up is my interview with current West Coast Champion, Ryan Keys!
But first up is my interview with current West Coast Champion, Ryan Keys!
Interview With Ryan Keys
Remmy: I am sitting with the West Coash Champion, Ryan Keys. Thank you Ryan. What was it like to win not one but two matches to become champion?
Ryan Keys: It was a shock at first. The first match was not an easy one to go through. I still have a score to settle with a few for almost eliminating me. The second was a bit tricky with the whole heights thing, but as soon as it was over I was on cloud nine just how I pictured it.
Remmy: And what are your goals in WCG?
Ryan Keys: In WCG I'm looking to polish my art form. There is a lot of raw talent in the company and that's exactly the kind of people I want to face to get better. I already captured it's work of art and now I play the waiting game to see who tries to take it.
Remmy: What's it like being an exhibitionist?
Ryan Keys: It um..
He chuckles a bit as he nods his head remembering the event that happened in the past.
Remmy: Has this ever gotten you in trouble?
Ryan Keys: It has. I've gotten a few warnings from Devlin already, as well as some legal trouble that I already did my time for.
Ryan Keys: Being an exhibitionist is like being your body is it's own work of art. I spent years working on it and now I love to show it off for entertainment.
Remmy: Thoughts on your upcoming match?
Ryan Keys: It's going to be tough. Facing these people one on one during the road shows has really showed me that this upcoming title defence against Julianna will be no joke. She's a no nonsense wrestler and I'll meet her in the ring with the same respect.
Remmy: Any advice for someone maybe wanting to join WCG?
Ryan Keys: Do it if you want to go somewhere. Part of this developmental program is to learn and perfect what you do before you go out there. As well as help people like me that lost their way to get better in this sport that we love.
Remmy: Any final thoughts?
Ryan Keys: WCG hasn't seen what kind of art I'm capable of doing. They'll just have to wait and see until I show them the big picture.
Before we get into some of my own "Remmy's Thoughts, we also have a new feature. WCG Reporter Jamie Harper, give a little history on West Coast Genesis as a whole. Take it away Jamie!
Thanks Remmy! Many of you may still not have caught the Redemption Wrestling’s brand new developmental: West Coast Genesis! As the name suggests this the start on the road to Redemption for a whole new roster of rookies, but is also the start of something new for the promotion itself. Let's take it from the start shall we?
Night 1 - The very first episode of HYPE! took place in the Long Beach Convention Centre to a full house. The bright lights, shiny new arena look and exciting atmosphere ushered in a new era. The brand new roster got ready to put on the show of their lives in front of the hyped up crowd and they did not disappoint. Five matches featuring the likes of Keiji Sugiwara, Ryan Keys, Julianna Dimaria who are all stars in the making. The Seventh Circle look dominate while Jock Doxon looks like a beast untamed, but the real star was Trenton Kelvin who not only won the five way elimination match, an instant classic that is a must watch for any self respecting Redemption fan by the way, but then made the save in the main event to claim his stake as the face of WCG.
Most importantly this show was in place to set up WCG’s first supercard CROSSROAD: ORIGINS. - The goal?! To crown the first ever champion of course. We need a man, or woman (it is 2017), that will lead this ship forward into the unknown. Three Battle Royals took place, cause you can never have too many battle royals, to find the three contenders that would grab the West Coast Championship in a ladder match.
Night 2 - And if we thought the last crowd was impressive they were on fire to see who be the first to be crowned king of the coast! The first b-Royal: Trenton Kelvin vs Danni Leblanc vs Brandy Cognac vs Wulf Erikson vs Trevor Fowler vs Jessica Hardy. After some quick fire eliminations Hardy and Kelvin where the finale two with, yep you guessed it, the man shooting for top shot won!
Julianna Dimaria vs Keiji Fujiwara vs KEG vs Gunnar Wahl vs Cynthia Machado vs Ruby Rose vs Kristian Bane was up next. It took literally the entire competitors of the match to get Bane eliminated and then Wahl took himself out too. After a series of awesome moves by everyone Julianna Dimaria came out on top. Finally Ryan Keys vs Jock Doxon vs Donovan Basch vs Danny Hound vs Karston Daire vs Rachel Redding features Keys and Redding taking each other to hell and back with Ryan Keys coming out on top.
All of this all leads to the moment we have been waiting for, whom will climb the mountain and become the first ever West Coast Champion. Ryan Keys and Julianna DiMaria and Trenton Kelvin all step into the ring and put on maybe the most important match in WCG history. No spoilers here I’m not going to tell you who wins, you need to get yourself a copy of the event as soon as possible. Right now, put down whatever you are doing and be a part of history.
This has been the WCG story so far. Next time we will get up close and personal with production side of HYPE! Episode 2.
Thanks for that Jamie! Now onto some of my own thoughts. Before we get into the Power Rankings, I am going to give some thoughts on the developmental brand, West Coast Genesis. This is the future lifeline of Redemption Racing and could potentially hold future champions! So let's take a look!
Remmy's Thoughts
While it's still very young, West Coash Genesis has a very bright future. There have been but two shows already, and we've been privileged with seeing some very bright stars. People like Ryan Keys, our champion, Julianna DiMaria, and Trenton Kevlin. But look at people like Danni LeBlanc, Donovan Basch, Keiji Sugiwara, and Jess Hardy. There are some hard hitters in the company, and if this is the future of Redemption, things things are certainly looking up. Be sure to get more of an indepth look forward into WCG next month.

We are full steam ahead towards WrestleForce, so let's take a look at the Power Rankings. Plus, the first ever WCG Power Rankings as well!
Matthew Shields remains the champion as we are move than halfway through April. With his recent "King's Bounty" open challenges, Shields looks to either be wise with adding these titles defenses, or stupid by putting the title on the line so much. Only time will tell!
1. Another wrapup and Yujiro Fujiwara remains the top challenger, Yuji. With another loss (7-6 record) under his belt, his grip on the division might be slipping. He still holds a non-title win over Shields that gives him a big up here. But in a month, we could see this spot taken by someone new!
2. Moving his way up to second place on this place, the man that is Johnny Maverick. A 5-2 record is outstanding and he seems to not be losing momentum anytime. Could Maverick be the man to unseat Yuji come next month? We will see!
3. Down from second to third is Blair Laroux at 3-1. A loss to Gavin Grimes hurt her record here, but it was potentially a match of the year and an amazing showing for her. Can Blair work her way back up the ladder? Or will someone on the cusp, like Aurora, Gavin, or Zach, move up onto this list? We will have to wait and see.

Caroline O'Hara Burchill remains out New Gen Champion. She has a match this weekend with Anton Chase, the former Genesis Champion. Looking to head into WrestleForce as the champion, the contention is hot.
1. Outside of Anton Chase, the number one contender at 3-0 is Joseph Setala. He has done quite well in tag team action, but it remains to be seen what he can do in Singles Competition so far. That said, don't cross him off of this list yet.
2. Down to second place is the former New Gen Champion, Martin Karloff. Still within contention, it was Karloff that helped Caroline to keep her title.
3. The former Tag Team Champion, The Jew Blazer, rounds out the top three. At 8-6 we has been doing well to move into the singles competition and looks to be making some headway in the New Gen division. With Damon Graves and RC Tucker on the cusp, it will be interesting to see how things shake out by next month.
* * * * *
Another month, and Jack "The Ripper" Tillman remains atop of the Genesis Division as the Champion. He has yet to be pinned or submitted in Redemption, and if it keeps up, he will easily become the best Genesis Champion to date.
1. Trixie, still, remains atop the Genesis Rankings. With a match with Tillman this weekend, one could think that a loss to him would hurt her 7-8 Record further and knock her out of contention completely.
2. At 3-2 Mason Moore jumps up to second in these rankings. Another win or two, it could spell for a one-on-one title shot for Moore Power himself.
3. Rounding out the top three is Rebel Manson. At 2-4 he has lost a couple of unfortunate matches, but he does own a big win over Lilly Parker back at Ultimate Resolve. With some movement on the roster, expect some new names to be shuffled around here possibly.

Jeremy Starling remains the Young Lions Champion. With his title reign still going strong, the Young Lions division seems to be heating up.
1. Lilly Parker at 5-3 remains the Top Contender but it is possible that this place would be owned by Coda in a month. With some teaming with her Young Cubs fans, she has been on the up swing of things.
2. Coda at 4-2 is on the cusp of jumping Lilly and earning herself a title shot.
3. Honey at 4-7 is improving and getting better. It is still a toss up for the third position as her tag partners, Alechs, is hot on her heels here in the Young Lions division.
* * * * *
Rebel Ink remains the Tag Team Champions, but another showdown with Burlesque seems to be on the horizon.
1. Burlesque Duplicity have done well to work together as a team and are a legitimate threat to the Tag Team Champions.
2. The Young Cubs are improving every week and the longer they are together as a team the better they get.
3. Starling and Zach hold the number three spot, but it is possible some new tag teams could be on the horizon.

The first ever WCG West Coast Champion, Ryan Keys earned a big win to become the first ever champ!
1. Julianna DiMaria, one of three people in the title match, earns herself the top spot here. A legit threat to Keys' title reign, DiMaria was close to becoming the first West Coast Champion.
2. Trenton Kelvin the other member of the title ladder match, Kelvin has been a hot commodity in WCG and it is possible that he could be the future of the company as well. Only time will tell.
3. A tag team specialist, Gunnar Wahl, brings up the third spot. A great showing in his Battle Royale and a tag team win under his belt. He is not a man that you can easily pass up.

Here comes the Four Edition of the Rumor Mill. Let's get right into it...
Their are rumors of WCG Superstar Donovan Basch purchasing either Redemption Wrestling or West Coast Genesis out from under Devlin Scott. He has the money to do so, and there was a recent release that Scott again owns the intellectual property to New Generation Wrestling, Indy Pro Wrestling, and Alpha Rising. Is it possible that Scott would walk away from Redemption and re-open NGW?
* * * * *
There are rumors that a West Coast Genesis star might have cancer. I have no specific details about who it might be. But to him or her, I only wish the best for them.
* * * * *
With the recent signings of Gavin Grimes, Corey Bull, Gray Malone, and others... there are rumors that a former champion is making their return to Redemption Wrestling. Could this be Ashleigh Grimes, that we mentioned last month? Who knows...
* * * * *
On the WCG front, we are hearing that one of the superstars on the roster might have a pretty big secret. Something that may affect some of the locker room, and brings out some of their personal life.
* * * * *
It is possible that an inactive female wrestler may return to action for the Women's Invitational Tournament later in the year.
* * * * *
Finally, we've heard that Mason Moore has a secret admirer. Some a couple of sources, we are being told that the admirer is of the male persuasion.
Thank you all again for reading WrapUp! I hope you enjoyed it. See you in May!
