Johnny Cakes
Devlin Scott sits at his desk in his office. The boss is wearing a button up shirt with a tie, but it is loosened up a bit. His coat is on the back of the chair. In front of him, a laptop and plenty of paperwork. The video starts as Devlin looks directly into the camera.
Devlin: This whole little cat and mouse game is coming to an end. Win or loss. I am done with you, Johnny Cakes. You can return to obscurity, or you can actually maintain a successful career here in Redemption… something you only got going in Indy. You are a talent, I get that and I know it. If you weren’t, I wouldn’t have signed you. But your attitude is going to allow yourself to enjoy more toxicity than honey. You can make your jokes, bake your cookies, and stalk around with your ninjas. The thing about it; I know that you are a talented fuck. And I hate to admit it. But you allow yourself to play these stupid fucking games and distract not only the fans, but the roster and yourself from the truth. If you decided to concentrate on actually doing something in this company, you could be holding a title right now.
Devlin pauses for effect, breathes in for a moment, and returns back into the camera.
Devlin: I’ve been training. And we both know that I am not a wrestler. Nor am I somewhere here to sit and talk all of this shit towards you. Contrary to belief, I don’t hate you. I loathe the way that you might act. But inside of the ring? I respect what you have. I want to push you harder than anyone has pushed you. And I intend on making you smarten up and actually reach the potential that you have in this company. This is not some backyard circus wrestling company. We are a global brand. And until you realize that, you will continue to be the butt of the jokes. I will be seeing you Sunday, Johnny.
He smirks.
Devlin: I hope you are ready for a lesson in respect.
