Minutes after the show goes off air, Avery is tying his shoes and heads for the door out of his locker room. He his has bag slung over his shoulder as he looks down the hall as sees Trixie. Trixie stands against the wall, clearly had seen him and was folding her arms up, she then gets a beep from her phone so reluctantly she unfolds her arms to see it. Avery has to walk past her to leave the arena. He makes his way down the hall and avoids eye contact. He gets within a few feet of her and stops.
Avery: I imagine that you want an explanation?
Trixie: I would ideally like one. I thought we were a team.
Trixie keeps her phone out but doesn't do much with it awaiting. Avery, letting him speak.
Avery: We were a team. Fifty, fifty. But I don't have to sleep with the boss to get ahead. And earn myself title shots. But it is fine. I am concentrating on my own career. I am done with people coming up short in tag team matches.
He adjusts the bag on his shoulder.
Trixie: hang on, you suggested I have Devlin make us last. I proved I earned that title shot because Anton couldn't beat ME. I beat him twice in one evening, ME. The Genesis Title is for the new talent and you're not the only one tired of coming up short. Because of you and Angel I have not won a single one here, oh, but teaming with Honey and Alechs on a road show I win. Seems interesting how I'm capable of winning tag matches with them but with you I come up on the short end....
Avery stops for a second.
Avery: Wow. There it is. I am holding YOU back I guess? Fine. Good luck. And this little team? I was trying to appease Taylor to watch out for you and Angel. Good luck, Trixie, I am sure that
Devlin will make sure that you don't need it.
Trixie rolls her eyes and takes a deep breath.
Trixie: I just said that because you hurt my feelings. I'm sick of people putting me down as a wrestler and you saying it hurt me so I lashed out. I don't want to fight.
Avery: I think it is best that you do you... and I do me. You have a title match, and I have someone already in my crosshairs.
He holds his hand out.
Avery: Best of luck Trixie, but this is the end of the line for our team.
Trixie: But not us? We're still able to hang out together?
Trixie motions and hovers her hand close to his. He shrugs.
Avery: This is inside of the ring that I am speaking of. I am done with the tag thing. But outside of the ring, I have no issues with you.
He pauses.
Avery: But if you are opposite of the ring from me, know that I won't take it easy on you. Trixie takes his hand and shakes it.
Trixie: When you challenge for my Genesis Title, you'll see why I beat a veteran like Anton twice in one night.
Avery: Good luck, Trixie.
He shakes her hand back and heads off down the hall.

Kenzie Rydell. She left me hanging, and having to defend the titles on my own. Already left behind thanks to Levi, I thought that the one person that claimed to be honorable would have my back. Boy was I wrong. You know, that is the thing about honor. It is good and dandy as long as people actually want to represent and respect it. The minute it does not fit neatly into a little gift wrapped package, poof. It's gone. This is exactly who Kenzie Rydell is. She tries to be this tride and true, honorable person. She is there for you, and you can help her. You can back her off of the edge, and make sure that she knows her place when drama arises. But when you need her. Truly. Need her. She is off, having a nice little drink.
People can think what they want of me. And I've dealt with my own demons. But the only person that I've hurt, is me. I never had to let anyone else carry me. And perhaps I lucked out not having her on my team, because the outcome may have not been any different... ask Gavin Grimes about that one. His one blemish in New Generation Wrestling. Kenzie Rydell.
Savage. I know. But sometimes the truth is quite savage.
I am sick and tired of allowing myself to put others first. To be the one that people can count on. It is time that I put myself first. And do what is best for me.
I am starting off at Ultimate Resolve to handle those issues with those that I’ve had it out with. And it is time that Redemption bends towards my needs, not mine towards its. I am tired of carrying out the word of Devlin Scott. It is time that I do what is best for me. Take what is mine. And not give a fuck about those in my way.

She releases the choke as she backs up. Avery falls to his knees as he looks to his corner, and it is still empty. Aurora quickly picks him up, and hits an Inverted DDT. Dropping him back down, she makes the cover

West: He is resilient!
Aurora gets back up to her feet as she reaches down, and pulls Avery back up as well. She moves to whip him into the corner but he reverses it and sends her into her own corner. Damon makes a blind tag but Avery does not see it. Facing back at Aurora, he charges forward at her and hits a big splash into the corner. She stumbles forward and falls as Avery heads up a corner across from theirs. He jumps off hitting th3 eXpress (Shooting Star Press) onto Aurora below and makes the cover but the ref does not count. The ref explains that Damon is the legal man as Avery gets up. He turns around to a boot to the gut. Avery bends up as Damon grabs him and hits Stay Down (Sunset Flip Powerbomb) sending Avery to the mat. Damon makes the cover

West: And just like that... the two on one causes the titles to change hands.
Shae: Your winners of the match and new NGW Tag Team Champions... Damon Graves and Aurora Knight!

Eight months later. The night I was screwed out of the tag team titles. I had to take on the team of Damon and Aurora alone. And the night I earned their fucking respect. They can be counted on to be exactly who they are. And I respect the hell out of that.
Kenzie wants me to claim that my shortcomings are secretly my own fault? When tag team members leave me in the dust, and I have to fight a team that had been tag champions in multiple companies? Yeah. Definitely all on me.
You may try to place this squeaky clean girl as best as you can. No one buys it anymore, Kenz. Gavin called you out on it months ago and I thought he was too harsh. But he was right on the nose. You keep up this facade. You play up the holier than thou attitude. That is fine. Because I am not here to expose you. Nor am I here to change you. Because you can continue to do what you do. This match. It is about revenge. To get my hands on you. And to make you feel what I felt. Disappointed and let down.
You are not a superhero. You are not a good person.
And come Sunday.
You are not going to be a winner.
