-Tonight's the night. Tonight the night that Jack opens up the eyes of Redemption to what he's cable of. Only his third match with the company and he's getting a title shot for the Genesis title. Sure.....I had to......use my words wisely to get the title match to happen......but you have to look at the bigger picture of it all. Trixie doesn't bring in money to the company. She isn't even that great of wrestler. She's only here because of her fake tits and because she's dating the owner. Jack on the other hand, he's slowly starting to get a following. He's been turning heads left and right in company's in EWC, GOL, and here in Redemption because of the way that he wrestles. His vicious nature with every chop that he plants in someone's chest. His blood lust when ever he slams someone on the mat. The beast that comes out when ever he destroys someone in that ring. It's believable. People want to see wrestlers like Jack because in a sea of gimmick and sports entertainers......he's one of the very few professional wrestlers in the scene and that......that is what people want to see. Not lies or fibs. They want the truth....and Jack is more than happy to give people the truth in that ring.
-Standing in front of a brick wall in the back of the Yokohama Arena, I do my best to look professional as Jack stands away from the cameras view. He's dressed and ready to go for his match. He's been ready for two weeks now to show everyone that he's more than capable of holding onto a title. Only a few more hours until he's able to be a champion here in Redemption. But first, a promo.
Chris Constantine: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. For my non religious friends out there, thats the first passage of the Old Testament of the Bible. It's only fitting for a title in Redemption to be named Genesis because its purpose is that for new beginnings. New wrestlers who have a chance to show case their skills to the masses while holding onto a leather strap with some Gold on it. But just like religion today, that Genesis title is impure and has no meaning behind it anymore because of the people who hold onto it. So much potential in a title and yet it's being wasted."
-I can't help but grin a little bit as I pull out a cigar from my jacket pocket.
Chris Constantine: "Time to change that."
-Lighting up the cigar, I let out a string of smoke before talking.
Chris Constantine: "Trixie, we could had chosen anyone to ask a title match with when Jack and I had a conversation with Mr. Scott a few weeks ago. We could had gone after the Heavy Weight Title or the New Gen Title or the Young Lions because the cards were in our favor when it came to the negotiation. But we didn't. Those titles......they'll eventually come in our possession sooner than later, but you and the Genesis title......you were chosen because out of the rest of the herd of champions......you were the weakest.......and like any prey going after a meal.......you go after the weakest.
You're a 21 little girl. 5'6........133 pounds.....with barely any training under your scrawny little hips. You Trixie......you don't belong here in Redemption. This should and will eventually be a place where people who give a damn about this insdustry will come to play. But you don't give a damn about this place. We've watched your tapes here in Redemption and over at EWC......you haven't improved in that ring or gotten any stronger. You're just here for a pay check Trixie."
-I pause as I take another drag from my cigar.
Chris Constantine: "You Trixie.....you make a mockery of this industry by dressing the way you dress, acting the way you act, and wrestle the way that you wrestle. You aren't a professional wrestler like my client Jack Tillman. You're a gimmick. A sports entertainer. A model who enjoys wearing bikinis and taking selfies of herself than training for matches. You don't give a damn about this industry Trixie. Just admit it, you're here just for the pay checks and the attention that it brings."
-I pause once again as I choose my words carefully with my next statement. My tone this time is that of grave concern for Trixie.
Chris Constantine: "So Trixie.......you have two options when it comes to tonight's match with my client Jack Tillman. You can walk out to that ring......place the Genesis title in the center of the ring......and just leave. You don't have to wrestle. You don't have to fight. You don't have to be humiliated or disfigured by the hands of Jack. All you have to do is just walk away and continue to live your life as the center of attention. And don't worry, I'm sure Devlin will do the right thing and make it where Jack will be the new title holder for the Genesis title since you technically didn't get pinned. And if he doesn't......well I'm sure I can have another conversation with him to change his mine on the manner.
And then there is option two.....where you come down to that ring.......and you fight Jack. You'll try your best and give it your all......but you know it......Devlin knows it....and we know it Trixie......that you won't survive for to long because you Trixie are a fraud. You're out matched in every way possible because unlike you, Jack Tillman is a professional wrestler while you're a model in a wrestling world. Jack is better trained, stronger, and faster than you in every way possible. He's trained around the world and has worked with the best to be a future Hall of Famer. This is his life Trixie. He belongs in this industry while you.......you don't.
And sure, you and your dead beat friends might think that you can beat him. That you might actually stand a chance against him and that you can get a pin on Jack. That you're better than him in this area of fighting or that area of grappling. But you and your friends are only living in a dream world that Jack will eventually wake you up from with his first elbow to your pretty little face."
-I pause as I take another drag from my cigar.
Chris Constantine: "My apologies Trixie if I'm sounding like an asshole, but I'm actually trying to help you. I don't want to see you hurt at the hands of Jack. I still have a soul. Jack on the other hand.....he doesn't care who steps in the ring with him. Man, woman, black, white, big or small.......he'll beat the shit out of anyone that steps in the ring with him in manner that is inhuman because at the end of the day, you eventually knew what you were going to get into when you agreed to fight Jack.
So Trixie, when I say that Jack is going to hurt you.......he will hurt you. When I say that when Jack slaps you on your chest and it's going to leave bruises......then it will leave you bruises that will be there for weeks. When I say that Jack is going to knock your head in with some stiff elbows......it means that you will most likely going to get a concussion from these blows. Trixie, when I say that when he hits you with the Ball Room Blitz.....it means that you will be knocked out cold and that you will lose this match and lose the Genesis title.
So Trixie......do the smart thing and place the title in the center of that ring and just walk away. Live to fight another day against some other gimmicky wrestler like yourself. I beg you Trixie. You're only 21..........you have so much more to live for in this life. You can find yourself a husband, have some children, have a perfect and happy family in Las Vegas. No more of this wrestling life for you. Live a fruitful life and be happy........because if you don't walk away from this match.........you will get hurt. You will be beaten, and there's a high possibility.....that Jack will take that pretty face of yours........and distort it into something that no one will like. No more selfies. No more have men fighting over you. No more living your super model life."
-By now, my grin is gone as I get to the serious part of the promo.
Chris Constantine: "And the only person that you can blame after it all......is you......just because you wouldn't walk away. Make the smart move Trixie."
- Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Jack making his way towards the camera. With a stone cold killer stare, he stops in front of me and stares a hole into the camera. Slowly taking his right thumb, he drags it across his throats as the scene ends.
