She tossed her duffle bag to the side by the doorway as she walked through, yawning not long after. She was dressed comfortably in a pair of Frozen PJ pants and a white tank top she had stolen from Xavier.
“I’m home!”
A certain level of exhaustion was written all over her face as she made her way into the living room and almost instantly to the couch to plop down. Her eyes focusing up at the ceiling just relieved to be home finally.
“I hate long flights…”
The words came out as more of a mumble to herself, a soft sigh coming after them. Out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of Xavier walking out of the kitchen, a bottle of water in his hand, a bit of a laugh leaving his lips as his eyes landed on Blair.
“Straight to the couch, no fuckin love or nothin.”
His words were laced with amusement as he made his way over to where she was lying, she pffted at his words, shaking her head.
“Easy to say when you haven’t been on a plane for almost thirteen hours.”
Her eyes focused on him as he moved over to the couch and leaned over the arm of it to bend down and place a soft kiss on her lips which she returned.
“I’ll give you that. How was it?”
“It was good, I think. Enjoy the surprise?”
“Me and almost everyone else, I’m sure.”
He winked after saying that before pushing off the arm of the couch and walking around to the side. Taking a seat on the edge of it.
“I meant how was it for you?”
“It was one hell of a time. It felt good to be back out there again.”
She had a smile on her face as she moved to sit up on the couch, leaning her back against it and letting a soft sigh slip past her lips as she turned her head to look at him.
“I just hate how screwy it makes our schedules. I’m going to miss your DARC match because I’ll have to be in Japan for my match against the Terror Twins. Even with the time difference, there ain’t no way I’ll be back in time.”
He reached up and tapped his finger on her forehead with a smirk on his face.
“It’s alright though, ain’t gotta worry bout it either way cause like… that’s prolly the best excuse not to be there. Plus it’s just Sash, no worries.”
“Pfft, just Sash? I just like watching you kick ass. Don’t care who the opponent is.”
She let a soft chuckle escape as he scooted a bit closer to her on the couch, leaning against her.
“You’re absolutely right. I do look fuckin sexy out there when I’m kicking the shit outta someone.”
Xavier flashed Blair a playful wink, causing her to laugh out.
“We’ll make up for it, I promise.”
“I knows, plus who’s to say the schedules are always gonna be fucked. At least I’ll be able to make it back in time for your Monday matches. As long as I call in a little private flight help.”
She moved a bit more, resting her head against his shoulder as she hooked her arm around his waist. A content sigh slipped past Blair’s lips before she nuzzled against Xavier’s neck, clearly having missed her husband while she was away.
“Besides, it’s not like a few days apart every two weeks is going to hurt us much at all.”
“Might even make me want you more.”
Xavier looked at Blair with a smirk, nudging her in the side as her eyes got a little wide.
“Ain’t that a scary thought?”
“That’s terrifying…”
She laughed again, shaking her head.
“I’m just not looking forward to all the traveling… I mean, I guess I could have always hatched my amazing plan at a local company but…”
Pausing for a moment she looked up at him with her signature cocky smirk.
“Wouldn’t have wanted to take those tag straps from Cause and Effect.”
Xavier scoffed at that, not being able to help but chuckle slightly.
“Yeahokay, ain’t nobody takin them from us. Nobody.”
“Oh I believe that, but only because BD isn’t running around that house.”
Moving her body some she rearranged herself, scooting over to straddle his lap. Moving her face a bit closer she rubbed her nose against his, a challenging smirk on her features.
“Count yourself very lucky.”
Xavier moved his arms around her waist, letting his hands move down her back until they rested on her ass.
“Oh I am very very lucky but that’s another story for another time.”
A look of curiosity crossed Blair’s features, tilting her head to the side as she looked at Xavier.
“Why for another time?”
She pouted some, as her arms moved to wrap around his shoulders.
“Maybe I want to hear the story now.”
He faked a gasp as he looked up at her, mock skepticism showing on his features.
“I don’t believe you. Ain’t no way you’d wanna hear a story like that.”
His words were followed by him shaking his head a bit as Blair started to pull away from him.
“I said I did but if you don't’ want to tell me I guess I could just… I don’t know...”
Pausing for a moment, a devious grin tugging at her lips as she started to pull herself away from him fully.
“Could always go upstairs and just go to sleep for a few hours seeing as you want to be a difficult ass.”
“But I thought you loved me for that.”
“I do love you for that when I’m not exhausted.”
An overly exaggerated sigh huffed free from his lips.
“Damn, fine, I’ll tell you the story. Get your fine ass back over here.”
Blair flashed him a victorious smirk as she moved back to her spot on his lap.
“Now… about this story of how you got so damn lucky.”
Reaching out she poked his nose, causing him to scrunch his face up a bit before getting comfortable with her on him again.
“Well, it’s bout this random ass hookup that turned into one of my best friends that turned into my world.”
He tilted his head to the side, thinking about it for a bit.
“Kinda like Transformers with a lot more sex.”
The transformers comment made her laugh a bit before a genuine smile creeped up on her features.
“So your world huh? I guess that does make you pretty damn lucky.”
He moved his arms back around her, pulling her even closer and looking at her with a soft smile.
“Luckiest guy in the whole wide world.”
“Guess that makes me the luckiest girl in the world right?”
A slight nod of his head answered her question as he leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers, the kiss lingered for a few short seconds before Blair pulled out of it, resting her forehead against his with a bit of a grin.
“Don’t think that all this distracted me from the fact that my team would kick your teams ass.”
Xavier’s expression went flat for a moment before he shook his head.
“That’s it.”
A confused look crossed Blair’s face before Xavier stood up, holding on to her and made his way toward the stairs.
“Gonna teach you some moves.”
“Uh oh…”
“Uh oh is right.”
A bit of playful banter went back and forth as he carried her off up the stairs, clearly heading for what could be a whole new level of exhaustion.
