:::Reboot!:::
...Here we go again...
Excerpt from Lilly's Online Blog
Date: December 21, 2017
----------------------------
Another company and another tournament.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind and I won't get into the details that led to me asking for my release from my last company but I am ready to try this again.
And I’m facing a champion too. However, as much as she really showed Anton who is boss, she's still not the most experienced kinda like me.
Of course I want to win and do my Gram proud. Especially when she learned I was going to represent her home country of Italy.
She even bought a little flag. Flying to Japan all by myself will be scary for sure, but I got this!
Anywho! Totesily going to finish my Christmas shopping! Tootles

:::OFF CAMERA:::
(but because this is in a public place, people may refer to seeing her at the airport and the exchange)
December 29, 2016
Osaka International Airport
Osaka, Japan
Lilly steps through the entrance way from her flight and see a flurry of people. Most of them are way different than she is. She doesn’t like to be center of attention for long and in a place with a different type of people, a different culture she feels like she sticks out like a sore thumb.
She doesn’t understand most of the signage and stops, looking through her backpack to find her Japanese translator, fiddling and then suddenly dropping the bag. Everything spills out. Makeup, a half eaten sandwich, a bag of cheetos and some sanitary products. She instantly turns red, trying to shove it all back in her bag while people practically step on top of her to get past her. She tries to hold in her tears when someone taps her lightly on the shoulder.
“Watashi wa tasukete mo ī.”
She looks up into the sweet face of a young woman.
Lilly wasn’t naive enough to think that the people of Japan really dressed like the traditional outfits she had seen while doing some google research this week. So seeing the girl in what Lilly thought were ‘normal’ clothes was not a shock, but the use of a language she couldn’t understand jarred her further.
“I...Uh...” She quickly recalled the only thing she had made it important to learn before coming and fumbled her words out. “Watashi wa nihongo o hanasemasen.”
The girl chuckles.
“I speak English too. Are you new to Osaka?”
Lilly looks relieved that someone spoke english but it doesn’t stop the tears rolling silently down her face. The girl bends down to help her pick up her things and gently hands them back to Lilly.
“Thank you so much. I’m here because I’m a wrestler and there is this awesometastic tournament that I’m in and I can’t read any of these signs!”
The girl nods her head in understanding.
“I was the same way when I went to your country too. Please let me help you on your stay. Where are you staying?”
Lilly manages to get her stuff back in the small backpack and then pulls out her itinerary.
“They Hyatt Regency.”
The girl smiles. “That is very expensive. You must have a very good boss to put you up there. I can take you. I do not mind the travel. I have just gotten back from Germany. Such a beautiful country. Have you ever been?”
Lilly shakes her head no as she followed the woman to the baggage claim.
“Have you travelled much?”
“No. Just in the United States but this is my first international flight. I had to get a passport and everything. I’m Lilly by the way. Lilly Parker.”
Lilly offers her hand. The woman takes it and giggles.
“How funny. My name is Lily too, although my formal name is Sayuri, so to avoid confusion you can use that. It is an honor to meet you Lilly-San.”
Lilly smiles.
“You too Sayuri-San.”

:::ON CAMERA:::
December 29, 2016
Hyatt Regency Osaka
Osaka, Japan
The camera pans out and focuses on one of the newest recruits to redemption, Lilly Parker. She’s wearing her Pajamas and her dark hair is loose around her shoulders.
“So I finally landed! Yay! And I got to my hotel! Another Yay! And I met an awesome new friend who doesn’t live that far away from the hotel. I am totesily going to invite her to the show. She’s a teacher and she gets these small jobs all around the world helping people learn Japanese, German, English... oh she knows so many languages. I wish I knew that many. But she’s going to teach me some Japanese while I’m here.”
She looks around the room, side to side and raises her arms.
“This room is very pretty. A big thank you to Mr. Scott for putting me up here during the tournament. Even if I am facing his girlfriend on New Year's Day. Well technically it will be eleven pm New Year's day-night for the people in the USA but here, it will be noon on the 2nd. But that’s what they were saying about the time zone difference right? I am now fourteen hours different.”
She giggles.
“Like right now... it is Nine at night on December 29th in Osaka but over in the US, it’s only 7am and when I left, it was the 28th. Oh boy... when I go back home I’m gonna be so confused!’
She purposely crosses her eyes for emphasis and then smiles.
“But back to what I was saying. So I get to face Trixie. The trixie Champion! And now the Genesis Champion too. That’s awesometastic Trixie. You must be so happy! And now you get to face me.”
She nods.
“I’m not like Anton. I am not going to call you meanie-face names. I am not going to tell you that you are not a good wrestler because you are technically still a rookie. But I am going to tell you a little bit about me. I am Lillian Rose Parker but you can call me Lilly. I am twenty-one years old and I have been training to be a wrestler since I was seventeen. I was trained by a wonderful man named Cillian Coughlan. He taught me almost everything I needed to know to be a great wrestler, a good athlete and then... tragedy took away the man I considered like a grandfather to me. But I knew he wouldn’t want me to sit around and mope. So I found someone else. A man named Matt Reece. He finished my training and he helped me get a job with another company but unfortunately, that didn’t work out. But I now have two matches under my belt. One loss and one win. And I plan on adding to that win category.”
She takes a deep breath, as if she had been holding it to say all of that with one breath.
“I’m also an orphan, My parents and I were in a really bad car accident when I was three. My parents died and my grandmother raised me. And it’s kinda funny you know. She raised me to be a good person. I never got into trouble yet I lived in Las Vegas. A city known for being ingrained by Sin. I guess it’s kinda ironic that isn’t it? Not to say that you Trixie are corrupted or bad or dirty or any of those things for living in ‘sin city’ too. Obviously we are both proof that stereotypes are just that. Stereotypes.”
She nods her head.
“But I am Fast, I am agile and I have been doing this longer, even if it is only as a student and not in an actual ring. I’m not discounting your abilities Trixie because you have championship gold... and that means that you have come a long way to be here but I have the thirst of someone new. Someone wanting to prove themselves. To show their adopted grandfather in heaven...”
She kisses her fingers and raises them up to the ceiling.
“...that he made a good choice in wanting to train me. I have what it takes and I am going to be a challenge. I beat someone who has years of experience, in a NO DQ match without using weapons. Although someone interfered, I still wore her down enough to pin her twice. I had a three count but the referee overturned it. It was fine but I still walked out of there. And it was because of some of the practices that I decided to terminate my contract and come here. To a place that is run by someone who has had successful companies in the past. He sought me out personally to recruit me. That means a lot to me. And as much as you want to make a name for yourself too... I need this more than you do.”
She sighs.
“I don't mean that to sound arrogant. Because it’s totesily not meant that way. All I mean is that you already have a title. Two actually. You have already shown that you got what it takes. I don’t have that yet. I don’t have a year or so in actual competition so yeah, technically speaking I have more experience being a wrestler, you have more being in an actual professional ring. It is my time to shine.”
She adjusts herself.
“I want to make a vow to you Trixie. I vow to play fair. I do not cheat. I do not use weapons and I will not lower myself to taking or making advantages just to win that are not within the scope of the rules. Maybe that sounds boring to someone like you who plays outside the lines a little but that is what I stand for. I will give you a fight but it will be a legit fight. And when we get the the end, I will shake your hand regardless of who wins, because I believe in sportsmanship but just know that I am not a pushover. I am not a typical rookie that doesn’t know anything. You will get an honorable fight Trixie.”
She gives a big smile now.
“So until then, take care, rest up and I will see you in the ring Trixie-San~!!”
She giggles at her words and then waves emphatically before moving forward to shut off the camera.
