It is a scary time in our history when a person like Heather Cardigan is considered “the brains” of any operation. A spoiled valley girl who got into the wrestling business just by standing around and looking pretty (not necessarily smart), was the same person who masterminded a wrestling company early in this year. Granted, it didn't work out, but one has to wonder how she was able to organize something so well when it seemed as though she was something of a blonde air head. Many might suggest that she was something of an idiot savant or that the dumb, Cali girl act was some kind of charade, but it is more likely it was all just luck. P10W even lasting three shows was a fluke that she would never be able to repeat again; that was as far as she was going to be able to go in this business, and the business was thankful for that. After the closure of that failed experiment, one would believe that she would just go back to being a pretty face with not much else to add when it comes to planning. However, they would be wrong as once again, she is brains behind an operation.
God help us all!
What was the first thing they did when they arrived in Osaka? The answer should be totally obvious given their tag team name: they took several pictures of themselves stepping off of Heather's private jet (okay, it is more like her mom's private jet, but REALLY, who is paying that much attention anyways?) Despite being incredibly worldly, Heather had never actually traveled to Japan, so this was quite an exciting prospect for the young lady. Not just that, but her and her new bestie, Jessica Buck, were only a little bit away from making their FXX television debut as a tag team for the much heralded Redemption Wrestling. Funny, only a few months ago, she was hoping her company could ape the success of Devlin's federation, but now here she was under contract for him. Funny, how completely bombing as an owner works. That fact didn't phase her though, she was just happy to be active in the business again, but not in the way where ALL the pressure was on her. Also, she wasn't alone in this venture like she was an owner. As owner, it felt as if nobody liked her and everyone was just waiting for her to screw up, with no one ever having her back. Despite the initial selfishness, there was no doubt that Buck had an equal investment in not just their team, but their relationship. Again, women that happen to be so materialistic have a hard time keeping friends, as they either grate on them or the so-called friends just become jealous. Either way, these two just automatically clicked as people, and then even more so as tag team partners. In fact, Heather felt that Jessica brought out a less spoiled side in herself, as she made Buck a lot less petty than she used to be. All in all, this was shaping up to not just be a fun trip, but a new lease on life in the wrestling biz for Heather Cardigan.
“Is it just me or is there a surprising lack of gundam robots. For some reason, I was expecting to see gundam robots blasting through the air. Why is that?” Jessica pondered as she stepped out from the plain and onto the stair car, not looking back at her partner.
“Like, I don't even know what a gundam is.” Heather shrugged as they continued to move down the steps.
“Maybe I don't either. Sounds kind of nerdy. I wonder where I picked up that kind of language.” Jessica admitted to her partner and bestie. “Do you think I am becoming a nerd?” Before Heather could answer her, Jessica looked down at her body and then back up at her partner. “oh no, wait ...scratch that. I am still super hot.” Jessica wiped fake sweat off her brow. “Whew ...I was scared there for a moment.”
“Like, O.M.G, there is nothing to like totally be afraid of, girlie,” Heather began with a joyous smile on her face. She really was care free at this point as she did not have the weight of the world on her shoulders anymore. She got to be in the lime light with none of the responsibility. The only thing that she was in control of was her tag team, and that was way more manageable. “You know, I so thought I was going to be like intermitten by wrestling for the first time in a new company within a different country, but like I am so stoked for this.”
“I'll admit, it has been a while since I had the opportunity to compete and be affirmed by the fans that yes, I am the greatest body the U.S has ever seen. Hell, I get to take my sexiness international. Also, it is about time that I have an associate that is almost equal to this excellence.” Jessica pointed down to her body once again. Heads up, she does this a lot. Sorry, but she isn't the most two-dimensional person in the world, but dat ass dough!
“Like, thanks” For someone like Jessica Buck, that actually was a compliment. Typically, the “Hot as Fuck” one never considered anyone in her league. “But I am totally talking about this whole thing like y'know? I have like totally been down in the dumps for awhile.”
“Well, that is what you get for listening to people on the internet. They literally have no time on their hands. All they can do is troll other people and post fake nudes of me ...when I purposely leaked real ones on purpose. Yet, I still see my face pasted on Dylan Ryder's body. Really? That old cow?” Jessica seemed as if she was finishing that thought but instead continued on with it. “Seriously, God created me perfectly. I didn't need to inject myself with silicone to give off the appearance of being fine, I was born that way. Yet, some immature kids on the internet think that big breasts equal beauty. The internets are full of dweebs. Don't listen to them.”
“Like it isn't just that, though,” Heather began as they made their way into the private air field at Osaka. “Mom had been like so on my ass over my losses and how I should have like just lived off her money and not, y'know, try to branch out. She like said it made her brand look so bad and stuff. I was going to have to like live with that stuff for the rest of my life and I like had no clue how to make it like better. Then we started working together and stuff and we got totally signed by Redemption Wrestling. Things like did a four twenty for me. Now? We get to travel the world and have our first match against two really cool dudes in the Radicalliance. It feels like I totally have the opportunity to wash away my past mistakes from before with this match. From now on, the definition of Redemption will be to be able to make up for past transmutations by working hard.”
“I don't know about that, but our opponents seem pretty dope. They beat up three people who take things way too serial. I mean yeah, there are times to be violent ...but those BLD peoples just seem to be angry because they think it makes them hip and edgy, not because they actually are. Also, it doesn't matter how many strippers he surrounds himself with, that big German guy will always be “blue dot” worthy. It was nice to see that they lost to guy who actually know how to entertain a crowd, not put them to sleep. It was a pity what happened to that Jewish Guy's girlfriend though. I will send her head shots to make her feel better.” They stopped at the baggage pick up as their assistants grabbed their luggage for them. A sly smile crossed Jessica's lips. “But I'm going to mess with that Ronnie North guy. I like his ...um ...style.”
Heather giggled at this notion as their poor assistants tried to begin to carry the two girl's massive luggage in the background. “I saw his videos too, and it like totally isn't his style you were admiring.”
“Seriously, did you see it? I mean damn. It is going to be hard to keep that out of my head while we are locking up.”
“Like, I don't think it is your head we have to worry about keeping that thing out of.” The two ladies stopped what they were doing for a moment and both started off into the distance longing. I don't think we want to know what they were dreaming about in those few seconds of looking starry eyed. Heather quickly pulled herself out of the trance and was soon joined by her partner. “Anyways ...like going back to what you were saying before, that is why I am like totally down with the Radicalliance being our first opponents in Redemption. It will totally be two groups of BFF's having actual competitive fun in the ring together. There won't be any like 'errr, we hate each other because that is like what we are supposed to do, right?' Y'know? It is like pointless. There is no reason for us to like be sworn enemies because we like, y'know, a match or whatever. Like yeah, winning our first match will be totally rad and stuff, but we don't need to violently batter The Blazer or Ronnie to do it or like act like that they shot our dog or something. We can go in there, like lock up, have a friendly match, and then like totally shake hands afterwards.”
“If Ronnie North plays his cards right, I might be shaking something else.”
“Like, behave yourself ...at least until after our match.” Heather warned her as they began to walk to their limo with their assistants dragging their luggage behind them. “And y'know, for as much as I want to go in there and win, I also want the four us to put on like an entertaining show for crowd in attendance. Yeah, there is like this Global Cup thingy going, but I want our match to be the one they are like talking about at the end of the night; I want them to like say 'those Selfie Sisters were bodacious against such an established team of two dangerous dudes.'”
“I don't know if those will be the EXACT words the crowd in Osaka will use...” Jessica began but let herself get cut off by Heather.
“We will like one day get are most excellent title shots, but I don't like think it will be just by winning matches, but by giving people something to talk about after every show.”
“That isn't going to be hard to do ...like you have seen our ring gear, right?” Jessica raised an eyebrow to her partner as the driver held the limo door open for them.
“Well, yeah, that is like totally apart of it, but I want it to be the absolute box and not just one thingy that we do. Ring gear, our matches, the wins, how we like keep the fans wanting more from us ...all of those things like together will earn our shot at the titles.”
“As you said, our opponents being such good friends, a very established tag team with several accolades, and just all around cool guys certainly opens the door for us to showcase all of that,” Jessica said as the door was closed behind them and the driver made his way to start the car.
“Totally, but like you know, there is one thing I am like worried about with them.” Surprisingly, much to the surprise of many who knew her, Heather found herself the mastermind of a group again. Yeah, believe it or not, but Buck is the muscle and Heather is the brains of their team. While she was super ditzy, Heather was also way more enterprising than her partner, who was more interested in staring in a mirror most of the time. Even though she probably wasn't qualified for it, planning on how to market the team was up to Heather. She had to think about such things like crowd reaction and promotion. With a brief look of doubt in her eyes, she began to explain her reasoning to her partner. “Like both Ronnie and The Blazer are a very popular tag team all over the world. Walking in, they have the fans and the like positive fan reaction, rightfully so. Now like, eventually, we will win them over. As you like so totally pointed out, we are hot chicks in skimpy clothing; we are good for business. However, before the match, there needs to be some effort to get the Japanese audience to be on our side. After all, nothing will get the best out of our opponents than realizing that we also can get a reaction from the crowd around here.”
“That is all great in theory, but aren't Japanese wrestling fans particular about what they like? They don't even chant for the ice cream vendor when something happens that they don't like. What kind of insane wrestling fan is that?” As the limo started up, Jessica was puzzled on how to endear herself to the common Japanese wrestling fan.
“But like, I have researched things we could do to maybe get them to cheer us on ...and in turn, we can earn The Radicalliance's respect during the match. Remember, as much as we like and respect them, they have totally no reason to feel the same way about us. If they hear that we can make a debut with the fans with us, they will have reason to consider giving us that respect during the match ...and in turn, we will be able to have the show stealer we so desire.” Heather looked inspired as she spoke, as if she was coming up with a fool proof plan to win the hearts of Japan.
“Okay, so what did you have mind?” Jessica asked, curious.
