Everyone has a point in their life when they need some alone time, right? When they need to take a breather from a person in their lives. Or from life in general. Sometimes a situation is too crazy and a person needs to step back and look at the whole picture. Assess the situation. And sometimes... a sister is so bloody annoying that you need to hide in a closet to get some privacy.
A 'point' for Illiya is more like weekly.
The more calm sister is sitting, literally, in a closet, using the flashlight on her phone to light the room. Plus the light from the camera man in front of her. Yes... he too is cramped up in the closet with her. She starts to speak, her voice quiet so as not to alert her sister of her whereabouts.
"You know, there are moments where I love my sister to pieces. And others where I want to wring her neck. Like yesterday. Wasting the time we had just to gawk at the competition. And not even the actual competition we had this week! She conveniently left out the two very people we are up against this weekend at Winter Solstice. I'll bet you're wondering why I would be angry about something like that. Well, not angry, per se, but more annoyed. See, my sister does this thing where she basically ignores who we face off against. She doesn't feel the need to research. She doesn't feel the need to find out what we're up against. She's the type to jump into the water and find out there's a shark nearby twenty minutes later. When it's three centimetres away from her. Miraculously, she gets out of the water unscathed. I don't know how. But she does it. And sometimes... I come out more damaged then her and I hadn't even put a toe in to check if the water was cold. That's just Ezrynn."
She shrugs her shoulders and sighs quietly.
"So here I am, once again, sitting alone to actually make a proper promo. Something that actually shows we mean business. Because we do. As I said... Ezrynn may not know a thing about who she faces, but somehow, she adapts quickly and hits her mark. Honestly, it's a love-hate thing with her approach. It works... but it's absolutely frustrating."
she looks down for a moment, going quiet. As if she's listening to see if anyone was nearby.
"So we're up against Alicia Hixx and John Blade. Alicia, it seems, hasn't been doing too well in the ring. She has lost basically every match she's been in. But that's no reason to underestimate her. This could be her week. It won't be easy by any means, however, for herself and John. But I'll still not take her talent in the ring lightly. I will say, though, that I know myself and Ez won't go into this match and just lay down easily. We're here to fight. We're here to win. We're here to go up the tag team ranks and dominate. These two are our first step. I know Ez would agree that we plan to win."
She smiled.
"As for John Blade, he's fifty-fifty. Wins and losses around the same. But that doesn't mean he's any better than Alicia. And he's not any worse. The way I see it.. We're the new team coming in and, as mean as it is, we're going against the lowest of the low. But I won't know what happens until we step into the ring with them. But I have every bit of confidence in us that we'll come out the winners. I have to. As much as Ezrynn bugs me, we work amazingly together. John and Alicia will just be the first to experience it."
She stopped again, hearing something. She turned her head to the closet door, hearing footsteps come closer. The door shot open and Ezrynn stood staring at the two.
"Ooh! Hide and Seek! Quit canoodling in there. You're turn to find me."
She winked and ran off to hide. Illiya sighed and looked back at the camera.
"And once again she's ending a promo prematurely. I better go find her. She won't let this continue. But one last word... We'll see you all soon. Good luck... but I think we'll have more."
