“Moving Out”
Date: July 17, 2018
Julianna DiMaria has certainly had her fair share of ups and downs in her NGW career so far, but it is fair to say that WrestleForce 2 was probably her biggest downer up to this point. One would think that the events of that night would trigger her to a massive extreme, but surprisingly, Julianna has been publicly calm about the Alechs Aurelio reveal. In fact, WrestleForce, NGW and anything related is the furthest thing from her mind at the moment as she’s boxing up some of the personal belongings in the home that she had rented out alongside Christy and Ally, her roommates and friends from her parents’ wrestling academy. Taking a sigh after finishing up the box, Julianna exits her bedroom with the box that she just finished packing and she carries it down the hallway toward the kitchen, placing it near the kitchen table.
Voice: What are you doing?
Julianna turns, remaining as calm as she can be, as she comes face to face with Christy and Ally.
Julianna: Girls, don’t worry. This isn’t another one of those episodes of “psycho wrestler” for you to upload to YouTube. Wait, you guys aren’t recording are you?
Ally: No…
Christy: We figured that after WrestleForce and all, you’d be a lot calmer.
Ally: Yeah! I mean, perhaps you’ve seen the light now!
Julianna cringes and narrows her eyes upon hearing the words “seen the light” as those are the last words that she even wants to hear right now.
Christy: Too soon, huh?
Julianna: Listen, let’s all pretend that WrestleForce never happened, okay?
Ally: Uh huh… suuuuure… whatever you say…
Ally says this with sarcasm in her voice as she doesn’t appear to be on board with what Julianna is going for.
Christy: You can’t just avoid the whole thing and act like everything is all good, Julianna.
Julianna: Listen, that is something that I just don’t want to talk about, alright? And for the sake of my emotional stability, I think it’s best that we never mention the words “WrestleForce”, “Alechs”, “Aurelio”, “El Leon Azul”, “see the light”, and any related terms ever again, okay? I am not going to fight you two on this one. Seriously! Cut me a break on something, for once!
Christy: Okay okay… chill!
Ally: Yeah, if you don’t want to talk about it, then we won’t. But you have to admit that…
Julianna raises a finger toward her two roommates, indicating that it’s time for Ally to essentially shut up.
Ally: Nothing… nothing…
Christy: Still, you can’t go around pretending that the bad stuff isn’t happening to you…
Julianna sighs.
Ally: And you can’t go around pretending that you have a boyfriend!
Julianna: HEY! He’s not my boyfriend… well… not YET! But the first date went VERY well! Oh and I am NOT making any of this up by the way.
Christy: So who is he?
Ally: He’s not that Dixon guy, is he?
Julianna: No… it’s not him…
Julianna sighs at the mere thought of dating her new sponsor in Nathaniel Dixon.
Julianna: It’s someone else. I am keeping that private and confidential, if you don’t mind.
Ally: So he doesn’t really exist then…
Julianna shoots Ally a glare, which is again, a hint that she needs to shut up for her own good and that is exactly what she does as she backs away slightly.
Julianna: You will meet him when the time is right! Now can you two please allow me to go forward with what I am doing? No, these boxes aren’t consisting of anything Jessica Sears related before you think I am going to go to the backyard and burn any trace of her in effigy! It’s my stuff… most… if not all of my stuff. I’m moving out!
Christy’s and Ally’s eyes widen.
Christy: What? Julianna… if you move out....
Ally: Yeah, how are we going to pay the rent here? It takes the incomes of all three of us to make everything work around here.
Julianna: You two really need to calm down… which… okay… yeah… I know that this is coming from ME of all people, but STILL. Chill the fuck out! You two have no honest or earthly idea how much money is going to be coming in for me working with Nathaniel. I’m not going to say the exact figure, but it’s a lot of money… and I mean a LOT of money! If it wasn’t I wouldn’t be moving to Coronado Island…
Christy: THE Coronado Island???
Julianna smirks and nods.
Julianna: Yep! THE Coronado Island!!!
Ally: Good for you, you get to live upscale with all of your brand new money and your spiffy new representation…
Ally rolls her eyes, indicating that she was being sarcastic when she said that.
Ally: What about us though, Julianna? Huh? What does any of this moving out have to do with us? Because from what this looks like, after standing by you all this time and doing everything we could to help you when you were being well… obsessed Jessica hater-stalker of doom… you’re selling us out and abandoning us!
Julianna is the one rolling her eyes out.
Julianna: My goodness, will you just let me finish? I wasn’t done explaining.
Julianna sighs.
Julianna: I’m still paying my portion of things here. I wouldn’t leave you two out in the street.
Christy and Ally breathe a sigh of relief.
Julianna: But… I need to move forward with my life and career now! The farther away from my parents, the better. I have a restraining order on my Dad, and I think I should stay away from my mom until this whole divorce thing is done and over with. I need a fresh start, away from all of this. I need to let go of “that Jimmy thing”, and “that Guardians thing” and… yeah… I need to distance myself from some unhealthy triggers, let me put it that way right now. I need to focus more on my career and less on all the drama that is bringing me down. It’s not you two at all. In fact, to be totally honest, you two are the only people that really, truly cared about me through everything.
Julianna sighs before tears start filling her eyes.
Julianna: FUCK ME!
Ally: Who, when and how??? OW!!!!
Christy elbows Ally in the ribs.
Christy: Ally!!!
Tears start to stream down Julianna’s face at this point.
Julianna: I was promising myself I wouldn’t cry!!!! SHIT!!!!
Julianna takes a pause to wipe the tears away.
Julianna: You two are the first people I have in my life that I can ever consider friends. I know that you’ve been pains in my ass and vice versa but… you’ve both done so much for me. Aside from my mother, I can’t think of anyone else that would put up with my neurotic nonsense! Fuck, you’re making this “moving out” thing incredibly difficult right now. I was hoping to just pack up everything and bail without being noticed.
Christy: It wouldn’t be you if it was any other way.
Julianna sighs.
Julianna: I suppose I can wait until tomorrow or something. You two want to hang somewhere tonight? One last time?
Ally: Julianna, just because you’re moving out doesn’t mean that we can’t hang out anymore. I know we’re all going through different stages of our lives, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t visit here and that we can’t visit wherever it is you’ll be on Coronado Island.
Julianna approaches Ally and the two exchange a hug. It becomes a group hug when Christy joins the pair.
Christy: Yeah, nothing changes just because you’re leaving and thank you for continuing to help us live here. You didn’t have to do that. Granted… we would want to live WITH you over there but… we understand why you want and need to be on your own.
The trio break up the group hug, with Julianna nodding in understanding.
Julianna: Thanks.
Julianna sighs once more.
Julianna: So… where do you girls want to hang? A club?
Ally: Too busy… would rather do something low key.
Julianna: The beach?
Christy: Nah… that’s kind of boring…
Julianna: The bar???
Christy & Ally: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Julianna: I was JOKING…
Ally: Oh…
Christy: Thank god…
Julianna: Let’s just eat somewhere. I think that’s a fair compromise.
Ally and Christy nod, clearly liking this suggestion. With that, Julianna grabs the keys to her car and she begins to leave her soon-to-be former home while her two friends join her for a night out for dinner… their last time they get to spend together before Julianna moves to Coronado Island and starts a new life and a new phase in her NGW career.
