OFF CAMERA HERE
Two out of three falls. They had their match set. It would be the Opening Match of the night. They would set the pace for the night. And it would be just one of two matches for the night for Avery. He had both Daisy to focus on, but later in the night he also had Kayla Richards. Daisy and Avery had faced off at Dissension where Avery won by count out. Not happy with the outcome, he was granted a second match and this time lost by count out. Not wanting to end things like that, both of them asked for a third and final match. Two out of three falls would settle it. If Avery won, Daisy would move up to the Five Lakes Division while if Daisy won, Avery could not challenge for the title again as long as she held it. Avery knew that on the biggest stage of the year this was his last chance.
He had invited Daisy down to Macon, Georgia for a visit with Serenity and the twins. He also thought her teaching his students for a day would help to give some important insight. And finally, he wanted to just sit back and relax with Daisy as the two had a friendly rivalry. Tagging together, they beat Mason Moore and Coral Rose. They also shared some time in Rebel Society. Unlike his match with Kayla, his match with Daisy would be intense but fun. He always enjoyed facing friends; Karin, Dead Eye, Alex, Adrien. Daisy and Avery just finished letting the students go as Avery was grabbing a few things from the office. He returned back into the ring area as Daisy was perched up on top of the corner.
Avery: Comfortable?
He laughs as he looks up to her.
Avery: Someone enjoying being in charges of a bunch of newbies?
Avery rolls into the ring.
Avery: Don’t get too comfortable… it’s going to be sure lonely without that Spotlight Championship.
Daisy: Yeah I am comfortable. I am at the top, why wouldn’t I be.
She laughs lightly, while she is looking at him. She knew what the upcoming match meant for both of them. It meant a few things. She hops down from the corner.
Daisy: It won’t be lonely actually. I’m not planning on losing the title. On the off chance I do, and you get lucky, I will be fine. It means me moving up, and getting a new chance. Something good.
Avery: If you lose the title? Come on, Daisy. Not only am I a better wrestler but I am better looking too.
He cannot hold it together as he laughs.
Daisy: You think that, I think plenty would disagree with you Ave.
She was laughing, while moving towards him.
Daisy: Ave don’t think you will get off that easy. I have a feeling we will need to go through all three rounds.
Avery: Yeah.
He nods his head towards her.
Avery: Three falls for a reason. Let’s try to stay inside of the ring, okay?
Daisy: It goes for both of us. We both need to. I know I can, can you?
Daisy was looking at him.
Daisy: Still Avery, no high flying stuff. No crazy stuff. More so with you having another match.
Avery: Come on, really? You know how I roll.
He laughs as he begins to run the ropes. He loved the feeling of being back in the place he trained at years ago. It was just a muscle memory sort of feeling.
Avery: RC ready for his match?
He asks.
Daisy: Yeah he is, least in his own way. Maybe he will win the title, and I lose Spotlight, then I move up. I can then take the title from him.
She laughs softly. Avery shakes his head.
Avery: And what about Coral? You seem to be a glutton to face people that you care about. Me. RC. Coral. Crazy.
He looks out to the front of the school as he leans over the top rope.
Daisy: Right now… fuck Coral. She thinks I am scared to face her, thinks she can dump me on my head in a one on one match. It won’t happen.
She shakes her head, as she sighs.
Daisy: Sometimes you have to face people you care about to get ahead. Keep her family and friends close, but like I said to the class, treat them in the ring like they are just a normal person, not as someone you care.
Avery: You know that in New York City… it’s all business, right? I will do what it takes. If I have to pull out all of the stops to beat you and take the title, I will. You’ve had a great run. And I can appreciate that. But I need to do this for… me.
Daisy: I wouldn’t expect you to hold back, I expect you to go all out, to do what you need to do. I will be doing the same thing. I plan on putting out everything I have to retain this title. I know it means no more shots for you while I hold it, but this is something for me to do. I know you need to do it for you, but you’re not the only one.
He nods.
Avery: Good. I want the best damn Daisy Rose there is. This is WrestleForce. The biggest show of the year. On the biggest stage. We both have things to prove. Let’s lay it all out on the line.
He steps torwards her and holds his hand out to her for a handshake.
Daisy: We will do that. We will lay it on the line, we will prove everything we can. We will set the stage for the rest of the show. Everyone will be trying to top us.
Daisy reaches out to shake his hand. The two of them shake hands as Avery checks the time.
Avery: Time to hit the lights. Appreciate you coming today. You going to follow me back to the house to have dinner with Serenity and the twins?
