“Nothing shakes up a landscape quite like a betrayal doesn’t it? When you have an earthquake, it’s the ground betraying itself in a way and it can create or flatten mountains, remake entire bodies of water, and bury the mightiest cities if it so chooses. Betrayal is a powerful weapon, but it’s a double-sided weapon as well. It can hurt you as much as it hurts the betrayed. Fortunately, I’m in the business of pain and blood so this entire situation has only piqued my interest.
“While it wasn’t Austen himself whom Remiel betrayed, it was someone Austen considered a friend which in any book is almost as bad as betraying that person anyway. It’s a way of saying, I didn’t need anyone this person has associations with in any form. I said before Remiel changed the landscape of this match with this betrayal and I stand by that statement. Before, it was only too predictable that these two would want to try and use their ‘friendship’ to eliminate me from this triple threat match so they could go at it themselves. Now, that may yet happen anyway, but that’s highly suspect now.
“The real question though isn’t even if they will team up, but even if they do, who will strike first after I’m out of the ring? And will there be anything left for me to play with once I’m back in the ring. Oh yes, I am coming all in for that Long Beach title you hold Remiel. Make no mistake, I may not demand my shots, but when I get them, I will make the most of them. And yours is just the first of three I have lined up. And Austen, let’s not forget that you didn’t actually make me tap or pin me. I faded from the pressure, my own body betrayed me in that case. You still have yet to prove anything against me and now you’ve got your ‘buddy’ to worry about. So the question I now have to ask is, will I have enough blood to play Tic-Tac-Toe after winning three belts in a row?”
