Opening on Billy Danielson in a gym, he’s killing the weight room at 5 in the morning. He’s benching what seems to be a large amount of weight, and is doing so with amazing speed. He hits ten, and puts the bar back on the rack. He sits up, and smirks at the camera.
“You know, Kaylee, it’s funny. You shot your shot in a 2 second video, talking about how lack luster my NGW run has been thus far. You’re acting like you’re the first person to say that stupid comment in this company, but you aren’t. You’re like the 15th person to say that, and I’ve only had like 18 matches in this company. You tried so hard to bring down the G.O.A.T. brand, because I haven’t won a title or anything like in NGW, but the thing is, Kaylee, you’re looking small picture.
That’s why I find your promo so funny, because you don’t realize what’s going on here.”
Billy grabs a towel, and wipes his face of any and all sweat. He puts the towel behind his neck, as he stands up, and starts to walk around the gym.
“You see K Double, you question my status as G.O.A.T., and use your tag title as a reason why you think you’re better than me, but let us not forget why you have that title. You married into your title shot. You decided to go from management to talent, and you used your passed position and your new hubby to make that title reign happen. You don’t deserve a single thing you hold onto.
Not just that, but you’re barely somebody known in this company. Like I said, you married well. As for me? I’m an industry wide name. That’s something a lot of the people on this roster don’t quite understand. I’m a name that people want on their rosters. I’m a name, that constantly gets offers to other companies. I probably get more offers from companies in a month than you do in a year. With all of these offers, and people begging me to go to their shows, I still stay true to just 2 companies. One company, I’m already the face of, and in the other, I’m starting a revolution.”
Billy tosses his towel into a bin, and grabs a bottle of water from a counter. He uncaps the bottle, and drinks about half of it.
“I know you’ve never really amounted to much, but you’ve gotta realize, revolutions don’t happen overnight. It takes a lot of planning and momentum to build them. They’ve gotta have a strong, charismatic leader to bring in the change they want to see, and that’s the reason why I can’t wait for Boston. Boston is a city that understands the importance of a good revolution. They have it interwoven into their history. They had the Boston Massacre, and Sunday will be a sort of… reenactment of that, when I drive my knee into your face, and leave you laying on the floor, looking like a massacre had just occurred.”
Billy scoffs at this statement, as he finishes his water bottle, and walks into the gym’s locker room. He steps out instantly, wearing clean clothes, and a gym bag. He smirks at the camera, as he starts to walk to the door.
“You see, Kaylee, my father always said ‘dress for the job you want, not the job you’re looking for’. I found that stupid, because he dressed up like a member of the ICP, and never once went to one of their concerts. However, I did notice that, when you put your mind to something, and make it part of you, you generally end up earning that. That’s the reason why I call myself the Greatest of All Time. You can make all the references to the animal all you want, again you’re unoriginal, but we both know my name and my notoriety is bigger than anything you’ll ever achieve.
I call myself the G.O.A.T., because after 2 years of being in my choice b career, I’m already top tier. I’m the revolution I want to see in this company, and I am the new generation of wrestler that this company has made their focus on. It is all on me, because I am merely the best there is. I continue to evolve, and grow in this industry. Numerous championships, in numerous companies, in numerous countries. I am the top, but you know, you’re better because you hold a tag title you’re third wheeling on.”
Danielson pushes through the exit with a sort of finesse, as he walks out to the parking lot
“Look, KayKay, I’m good. I’m beyond good. I’m great. I am quite possibly the greatest ever, and that’s not just the arrogance talking. That’s the facts talking. The fact that I’ve gained 30 plus pounds of muscle for this industry. That’s the constant evolution of wrestling styles talking. That’s the champions I’ve toppled, and hall of fames looking to induct me already. That’s the drive talking. I’ve practically sold my soul for professional wrestling. I’ve lost my sleep cycle, and I’ve gained a god complex, just because the very fabric of my DNA tells me to.”
He pauses to look both ways before crossing into the parking lot.
“I’m going to beat Chazz Michael Michaels, or whatever his name is, and his brother. I’m going to beat you. I’m going to win the Tag Trials. I’m going to win the Five Lakes Title. I’m going to win the Tag titles. None of that will be in exactly that order, but all of it will happen. However, with all of those plans, you’re just need to focus on Sunday, because you are sorely outmatched, Kaylee, in every single category.
I’m going to beat you, because I have to, and because I want to. Also because there’s a girl I’m trying to impress, but not the point.”
Billy makes it to his 2017 Denali, and he tosses his duffle bag into the back seat. He looks at the camera one last time.
“The point is, I’m better than you, and I have to make the point that
Things are about to get…
GREAT!!
See you sunday, Kiddo!”
Billy gets into the car, starts it, and drives away. He flips the camera off as he does so.
