The show opens as Austen Blackwell is standing in the middle of the ring. There is a setup table with a kendo stick, a baseball bat, and a stop sign. Austen is on the mic as the cameras focus on him.

Austen: At Crossroad: Spotlight I am taking on Jimmy Pagan. It will be a street fight. Who knows what sort of weapons will be used. You could see any of these used.

He grabs the baseball bat, and moves it around with his wrist.

Austen: I am going into this fight with the intentions of giving Pagan a taste of his own medicine. I want to make Pagan feel the pain I felt from all of those attacks. I want Pagan to realize that he screwed with the wrong guy. This is more than business. This is personal. I know that I could leave the man maimed. Or injured. Hurt. Or bleeding. But in the end, it will be me that leaves Spotlight as the winner of the match. You do what you gotta do, Pagan. It simply won’t be enough. You have got your licks in on me. You were able to pull the wool over my eyes. But no more. At Spotlight… this ALL gets settled.

The lights turn out as some lights of red shine in various places around the arena.

Phoenix: Is Pagan playing mind games again?

The lights come back on as Austen is standing with the baseball bat ready to swing for the fences. He has a grin on his face almost as if he was in on it.

Austen: You can play mind games, Jimmy. So can I….

Austen’s music hits as we see a previous for their Crossroad: Spotlight match play before the opening match.

Mackenzie is standing in the center of the ring, ready to introduce the competitors for the first match, when “Poison” by Alice Cooper begins to play.

Hayden Phoenix: This is unexpected....

The fans burst into a deafening chorus of cheers as Alicia Perry, the manager of WCG West Coast Champion Donovan Basch, as well as his wife Danielle, approaches the announcers’ table. On the way, she happily tags the hands of some of the fans along the aisle and at ringside, before grabbing the spare headset and taking a seat beside Hayden Phoenix.

Hayden Phoenix: Mrs. Perry... nice of you to join me, even if I didn’t expect to be sharing the announce table tonight.

Alicia Perry: Oh, don’t mind me... I’m just here to get a closer look at the opening match. I don’t plan on getting involved.

Hayden Phoenix: I know we talked briefly before we went live; how did you say you and Kimo were related?

Alicia Perry: His mother and my mother are sisters.

Hayden Phoenix: Ah, that explains why the resemblance isn’t all that strong.

Alicia Perry: Never mind that. That’s not even why I’m here....

Mackenzie Murphy: Ladies and gentlemen, the following is our opening contest, and is set for one fall! Introducing first, wrestling out of Boston, Massachusetts, she is ALICIA HIXX!!!

As “Sky’s the Limit” plays over the sound system, Alicia Hixx comes out to a mixed reaction, standing on the stage, showing off her “LEGIT BOSS” multi-finger rings as she poses, then makes her way down the ramp. She climbs into the ring, once again showing off her jewelry as Alicia Perry just sits at ringside and shakes her head.

Alicia Perry: Look at that... all flash and no substance whatsoever.

Hayden Phoenix: I take it you disapprove?

Alicia Perry: I’ve been in this business in some capacity for over 20 years, Hayden. I’d like to think I know talent when I see it.

Hayden Phoenix: And you’re saying you don’t see anything in Alicia Hixx?

Alicia Perry: Don’t assume that just because I don’t send out a hundred tweets per day that I don’t pay attention to what’s going on in NGW or West Coast Genesis. I’ve seen how she’s conducted herself in BOTH companies, and she’s always making the same mistakes in the ring. She doesn’t learn from them. And despite what she keeps saying, that’s on her and her alone. Frankly, it makes me ashamed of the fact that she has the same name as me....

As the opening of “Ka Mate” by Nagual growls through the sound system, Kimo emerges through the curtains and performs the Haka along with the lyrics. Once he’s finished, he makes his way down the ramp and up the ring steps. Before he steps through the ropes, he points across the ring at Hixx and drags his thumb across his throat while sticking out his tongue.

Mackenzie Murphy: And her opponent, wrestling out of Waianae, Oahu, Hawai'I, he is KIMO!!!

Hayden Phoenix: Your cousin looks like he’s literally going to bite a chunk out his opponent. I mean, looking into his eyes, he seems very intense.

Alicia Perry: What can I say? Those of us in the “family business” take this business VERY seriously.

The bell rings to start the match, and Hixx runs out of the corner at Kimo, attempting to blast him in the face with her forearm. The blow has little effect, and Kimo just looks at her with a mildly-amused smirk on his face. He fires back with a headbutt that sends Hixx sprawling back-first onto the mat, looking dazed. She rolls around for a bit before pulling herself back to her feet. She shakes off the cobwebs and tries to go back on the offensive, but Kimo swats her away with a massive chop.

Hayden Phoenix: WOW! You could hear the echo from that chop from across the arena!

Alicia Perry: Yeah... reminds me of someone else I know.

Alicia chuckles softly.

Back in the ring, Kimo grabs Hixx and pulls her back up to her feet. He whips her into the ropes and launches her into the air with a back body drop. Hixx lands hard on the canvas behind Kimo, popping up into a sitting position as she holds her lower back. She rolls over onto her knees, and when Kimo bends down to grab a handful of her hair, Hixx punches him in his lower abdomen. He lets go of her hair, and Hixx gets up, only to get chastised by the referee, who thought she’d hit a low blow. Kimo confirms she didn’t, and the match continues.

Alicia Perry: That’s what happens when you get careless! Hixx nearly got herself disqualified for that mistake.

Kimo and Hixx lock up, with the stronger Kimo quickly getting the upper hand. He shoves Hixx down to the mat, but as he goes to grab her, Hixx crawls through his legs. Before Kimo can turn around, Hixx kicks back, driving her foot into the back of his knee. Kimo crumples to his knees, and Hixx takes this opportunity to surprise him by nailing him in the back with a dropkick. She rolls him over and makes a pin attempt, but Kimo powers out at 2, launching Hixx into the air.

Hayden Phoenix: WOW! Hixx caught some air!

Alicia Perry: Not a bad move trying to get a larger opponent off of his feet, but she’s gonna have to do more than that if she wants to keep him down.

They both get up, but Hixx is still grabbing at her back. She manages to duck a clothesline from Kimo, but a subsequent shot to the back of Kimo’s leg fails to bring him back down. His leg buckles a little, but he grabs the top rope to steady himself. Hixx runs to the opposite side of the ring, bouncing off the ropes and heading toward Kimo on a full head of steam. He grabs her, and then drops her with the Ground n’ Pound (spinebuster followed by mounted punches). He gets up, pulling Hixx to her feet, then runs the ropes and launches himself toward Hixx, dropping her with the False Crack Medevac (Superman Punch).

Hayden Phoenix: That’s gotta be it! She’s gotta be unconscious after that shot.

Alicia Perry: That’s assuming her brain hasn’t been completely liquefied....

Hixx goes down, and Kimo goes for the pin...

ONE...

TWO...

THREE!!!

The bell rings, and Kimo gets up as the referee raises his hand and his music plays again.

Mackenzie Murphy: Here is your winner... KIMO!!!

Hayden Phoenix: And so the losing streak of Alicia Hixx continues....

Kimo celebrates his victory, then leaves the ring, slapping hands with the fans on the way up the ramp.

We see a preview for tonights Semi Main Event play.

Mackenzie: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is a NON-TITLE match! Introducing first, from Long Island, New York, she weighs in at one hundred and forty pounds… She is “The Pin-Up Princess” MG Moxie!

‘Hey!’

MG Moxie emerges in a black dress covered in pink cherry designs and gives a nice little wave to all the catcalling men in attendance.

‘You've got a bad reputation that's a what you got
A bad reputation but I like it a lot
A bad reputation and it's all over town
A bad reputation and it's going around’

MG Moxie tears away her dress to reveal her ring gear before she starts to sexily strut to the ring.

‘A bad reputation (bad reputation!)
A bad reputation (bad reputation!)
You're a bad little chick and that's the word on the street
You're the kind of girl I'd like to meet’

Moxie hops up on the apron and slowly enters between the top and middle ropes, stopping so she’s in a ‘vulnerable’ bent over position and giving her but a little bit of a wiggle before she fully enters the ring.

‘You've got bright red lips and a pretty face
A rose tattooed in a private place
Spiked high heels and a wiggle in your walk
Makin' everyone in this big city talk’

Moxie gives the audience a wink and does a bit of a pinup pose before going to her corner.

Phoenix: Well, ladies and gentlemen, tonight we have quite a few newcomers to West Coast Genesis. MG Moxie, Meryl Goldstein, is one of those newcomers. She’s the younger sister of NGW’s own Josh Goldstein and she looks to stake her claim. Winning against this young champion would be a great advancement.

Mackenzie: And her opponent, from Santa Monica, California, he weighs in at one hundred and forty-four pounds… He is the West Coast Genesis LONG BEACH CHAMPION, “The Rebel Angel” REMI FONTAINE!

The moment the music hits, the lights go out and the fans rise with anticipation.

“Ohh yeah! Ohh yeah! Ohh yeah!”

The lights flicker on and off to the rhythm of the lyrics. “Angel with a Shotgun” by The Cab begins to come to life.

“I’m an angel with a shotgun
(Shotgun, shotgun)
Angel with a shotgun
(Shotgun, shotgun)”

The click-click of the song’s shotgun brings the lights back on and standing on the entrance stage is “The Rebel Angel” Remi Fontaine! The fans cheer for the young man as he raises his WCG Long Beach Championship belt up in his hands with a loud, rebellious yell!

“Get out your guns
Battle’s begun!
Are you a saint or a sinner?

If love’s a fight,
Then I shall die
With my heart on the trigger!”

Walking up to his sides are his father Quentin Fontaine and his aunt, “The Avenging Angel” Xaria Karloff. Remi looks to his family and they give him approving nods. With a grin, he fastens the belt around his waist and runs down the ramp. He tags the fans along the way and he slides into the ring. Fontaine pushes himself up to his feet and he raises his arms in sheer excitement.

“They say before you start a war,
You better know what you’re fighting for.

Well, baby, you are all that I adore.
If love is what you need,
A soldier I will be!”

Remi’s in awe of the positive response. He lowers his arms with a huge grin on his face. Soon his father and his aunt join him in the ring and they take his hands. They raise each of Remi’s arms once more and the fans react with more cheers. Xaria smiles at her nephew while Quentin offers his son quick advice before they exit the ring. Remi firmly nods, removes the championship belt, takes off his jacket, and hands both items to them as he waits for the bell.

Phoenix: He may not have the best match record, but Remi Fontaine has proven to be the dark horse of the races. Remi and Adam, Awkwardly Awesome, have defeated Carnage and they even eliminated Death Before Dishonor of the former Destroyers. His first-ever championship defense against Austen Blackwell was successful. Can he keep it up tonight?

Ding, ding, ding!

The bell rings, but before any real action takes place, MG Moxie turns around and playfully shakes her ass towards Remi Fontaine. While the male fans enjoy the view, the WCG Long Beach Champion is not impressed as he thrust kicks her ass and knocks her onto the mat. MG scoffs, gets to her feet, and she quickly forces Remi onto the mat with an arm drag. Remi swings his body and throws his right knee against MG’s stomach, causing her to back off. Both competitors get to their feet before MG goes down from a spinning heel kick by Remi. He moves over to pin her and referee Corey Carter counts.

One!

Tw--

Not even a two-count as MG kicks out. Remi looks up to Corey with a narrow of his eyes.

Remi: Don’t. F***. Up.

Phoenix: I think Mr. Fontaine has grown tired of referee Carter’s mistakes in his matches.

The referee raises his hands in an apologetic manner. Before Remi can respond, MG surprises him with a harsh forearm smash to his face and knocks him back. She gets to her feet with ease and plants a missile dropkick to his chest. MG backpedals while Remi is stirring and she rebounds against the ropes when he gets up. She ducks underneath a clothesline attempt and comes back with a back handspring elbow that connects to Remi’s jaw. Once he falls, she covers him for the pin attempt.

One!

Two--

Phoenix: Remi kicks out! Still, those were impressive moves by Ms. Moxie.

Moxie gets to her feet, a sly smirk crossing her face, and she pulls Fontaine to his feet. She Irish whips him towards one of the corners and drives him against the turnbuckles with a shoulder tackle. Fontaine doubles over her shoulder, aggravated by the pain. As he’s light enough, Moxie lifts the young man onto the top turnbuckle in a seated position. She doesn’t wait, hitting him with a frankensteiner that she transitions into a pin attempt with the hook of his legs.

One!

Two!

Yet again, Remi kicks out. Giggling, Moxie gets to her feet, ascends one of the corners of the ring, and she lands the senton splash. Once more she covers Fontaine and the referee counts.

One!

Two!

But just like before, Fontaine kicks out at two!

Phoenix: Moxie is fast, but there’s still so much strength in Fontaine.

When MG begins to pull Remi to his feet, she throws him over the top rope and turns towards the opposite side to regard his father, Quentin. She blows him a kiss, causing Xaria to shake her head, but Quentin simply raises his left hand and reveals the engagement ring. Unbeknownst to MG, Remi had grabbed the top rope and skillfully pulled himself onto the ring apron. He quick-turns, and just when MG turns around, Remi takes off and forces her to crash land with a flying forearm smash. Quentin steps back with a soft chuckle and watches his son climb one of the corners. He takes flight while MG is still down and connects the frog splash. Remi covers MG without hesitation.

One!

Two!

Kickout at two!

Shaking his head, Fontaine pulls Moxie up to her feet and Irish whips her towards the ropes. Moxie escapes by sliding between his legs which catches him off guard. She gets to her feet in a fluid motion and knocks Fontaine back with a roaring elbow on the rebound. He staggers back before Moxie wraps her arms around his waist and lands a German suplex.

Phoenix: Considering who trained her, I’m not surprised to see Ms. Moxie use a suplex!

Remi tries to break away afterwards, but MG ensnares him in a particular hold. She has him “All Tied Up” (Octopus Hold) and Remi yells out in anguish.

Phoenix: I almost want to ask MG Moxie why she calls it “All Tied Up”, but this is somewhat of a family-friendly presentation…

On the outside, Xaria slaps her left hand on the ring apron, rallying her nephew while the fans cheer on. The pain shoots through Remi’s body as he tells Corey Carter to “fuck off” when he goes to check on him. Quentin watches MG tighten the hold and he makes eye contact with his son. Remi notices the look, despite the pain, and he begins to… do a barrel roll. He manages to maneuver himself and MG towards the ropes before he reaches out and grabs the bottom rope. The referee starts a count that MG only breaks when it reaches four, releasing Remi. The Pin-Up Princess softly “tsks” at the Rebel Angel. As she brings him to his feet, everyone is surprised by the backflip kick from Remi out of nowhere! Remi collapses and MG’s stunned for a brief moment before she falls onto the mat.

Phoenix: How did Remi manage to do that?! Even I didn’t see it coming!

Corey checks on Remi and MG. Seeing both competitors down and unresponsive, the referee has no choice but to start an official ten-count.

“One!”

“Two!”

Phoenix: Ms. Moxie is beginning to come to, but so is Mr. Fontaine.

“Three!”

“Four!”

Moxie is back to her feet and she drags Fontaine up the rest of the way. She Irish whips him to the ropes, but he ducks underneath her spinning heel kick and rebounds against the ropes. Fontaine evades a spinning back fist, bounces off the ropes, and nails her with a momentous discus elbow smash. Moxie falls onto the mat, but instead of going for the pin attempt, Fontaine waits for her to get back up and he nails her with the “SONIC-BOOM!” (Running Double Knee Strike).

Phoenix: Sonic-Boom! This may be the end for MG Moxie!

This time, Fontaine pins Moxie and hooks the leg.

One!

Two!

Phoenix: Somehow, MG kicks out before the three! Remi's not too happy about this.

There's clear frustration in his bright blue eyes as Remi argues with the referee. MG is barely stirring. Remi looks to his aunt who shakes his head, confirming the two count. With a sigh, Remi pulls MG to her feet and sends her to one of the corners. He ascends the turnbuckles and seizes her head in his hands, pushing himself off.

Phoenix: Around the World-- hold it! MG resists!

MG keeps herself steady and she counters his signature with one of her own.

Phoenix: Makeup Remover!!

That single knee facebreaker connects with such elevation and Remi's body crumbles on the mat. The fans are raving, Quentin and Xaria painfully watching, and MG covers Remi without hesitation.

One!

Two!

Threeeeeeee-- NO! Somehow, Remi gets the shoulder up before the three count and MG is shocked. She looks down at Remi, looks up at Corey, and scowls. Rising up, MG grabs Remi and forces him onto his feet. She launches him towards the ropes and tries to connect “The Passion Pit” (High-impact Roundhouse Kick to the face), but Remi BARELY ducks under her foot. He rebounds against the ropes and surprises MG with a move that's not in his arsenal.

Phoenix: That's the…

“Wadjethotep Special” (Flying Armbar) traps MG Moxie in the center of the ring. This has left Hayden Phoenix stunned in silence for a moment as MG screams out in pain. Quentin and Xaria look at each other, surprised by the submission hold. Remi ensnares the hold and maximizes the torque. With nowhere to go, MG has no choice but to tap out.

Ding, ding, ding!

Mackenzie: The winner of the match… “The Rebel Angel” REMI FONTAINE!

The fans express mixed reactions as Remi lets go of MG’s right arm. He rises to his feet and the referee looks to raise his hand in victory, but Remi shoots him a glare. There's a chorus of boos as Daniel Daemon emerges beyond the curtains and he makes his way down the ramp without the walking cane.

Phoenix: It's the Devil, himself…

Daniel applauds his youthful client as he ascends the steel steps and enters the ring. He enters the ring with the simplest of ease, walks over, and lifts the hand of the Rebel Angel. Quentin and Xaria cautiously stand on the outside while MG rolls out of the ring. The fans aren't too enthused about Remi's alliance with Daniel and some of them actually boo him.

Phoenix: Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for my silence just a few moments ago. That flying armbar, the “Wadjethotep Special”, belongs to Tyberius King. He was formerly known as Prince Wadjethotep in the early days of NGW and Anzac Pro. We shared an intense rivalry that nearly broke our bodies and spirits. This is the second time Remi Fontaine has used one of King’s moves… This time, it was enough to make MG Moxie tap put after an intense match. Alas, the show must go on. Hype continues!

Jessa was backstage, walking down the hallway. She bumps into someone, as the person is revealed to be Melina, her cousin. Jessa smirks looking at her, as Melina shakes her head.

Melina: You just show up, don't say anything till after signed. Really Jessa, why?

Jessa shrugs her shoulders.

Jessa: Why should it matter to you? Scared I'm going to show you up? Do you think you are going to look bad with me here now?

Melina sighs.

Melina: Not one bit Jessa. I know you can't, and won't do a single thing to stop my rise, or take my spot. If you think that, you are in for a rude awaking. I don't know what got into your head, but you need to come back down to earth. If you don't, I will bring you down. I am not playing Jessa.

Jessa rolls her eyes.

Jessa: Nothing has got into my head Melina. You just need to realize I'm not the same sweet, innocent scared girl I was when I came back around. I stopped letting people keep me down, and be something I am not. You have a problem with it, that is on you. You just need to get over it, and realize there is a new Wilson here.

Melina: Whatever you say Jessa. Look you go do your thing, I go do my thing.

Melina doesn't say anything more, as she walks away leaving Jessa standing there smirking. Jessa watches before she turns heading for the ring area.

Mackenzie: The following contest is a tag team match!

"Sex Metal Barbie" hits as Tasmin comes skipping out in a leather biker jacket, a black top and black jeans.

Mackenzie: The first team. Introducing the first competitor… She comes from Norwich, England. Weighing in at one hundred and twenty pounds. She is the current South Bay Champion… The “Tazzie Devil”… Tasmin Richards!

She makes her way down to the ring high fiving fans before running and sliding under the bottom rope popping up to her knees.

Phoenix: And here comes the current South Bay Champion, heading to the ring for this standard tag match.

“Anthem for the Underdog” by 12 Stones starts playing as the lights go out, and stars start falling down from the ceiling. Jessa walks out from the back.

Mackenzie: Her partner. From Boise, Idaho. Weighing in at one hundred and thirty pounds. She is Jessa!

She looks around, before running down to the ring, slide under the ropes. She kips up, as she heads for her corner, looking out at the crowd.

Phoenix: And this is probably the more experienced team in the matchup, honestly. Jessa has her time in other organizations. And Tasmin is our current South Bay Champion.

Both teammates meet when Jessa lands on the ground and they nod to each other for a moment. As they wait for their opponents.

Phoenix: And now we get to see the Greek Grappler herself coming down to the ring, which she has a bit of an unknown to go with in this match.

“O Fortuna” begins to play, and as the music hits a crescendo Iphy makes her way from behind the curtain. Medrapedes hops in place for a moment, before nodding to the crowd, and making her way to the ring. Once at ringside, she makes her way up the steel steps, and steps into the ring. Iphigenia enters her corner, and begins to limber up as she awaits the match start.

Mackenzie: The second team. Introducing first. From Sparta Greece. Weighing in at one hundred twenty-seven pounds. She is Iphigenia Medrapedes!

The spotlight strikes down on a masked figure in the entrance way. Anastacia Alejandro glares out towards the crowd and the music hits. As the synth hits from Celldweller for “The Last Firstborn”, she moves towards the ring quickly. The crowd tries to reach out. She slaps the hands on the way to the ring as the crowd cheers her on.

Mackenzie: Her partner. From Albuquerque, New Mexico. Weighing in at one hundred and forty-five pounds. She is “The Strong Style Angel”… Anastacia Alejandro!

She slides herself on to the apron, and takes off her hood. The crowd sees her half painted sugar skull design on her face. They take in the visuals as she throws her coat to the ring crew. Anastacia then leans back and flips herself into the ring and lands on her feet. The crowd quiets down as she looks towards the middle of the ring.

Phoenix: The first child of current New Generation Wrestling star, Jaime Alejandro. Anastacia was trained by some of the best, but now we get to see how she does in West Coast Genesis.

The younger wrestler moves towards Iphy, and they both look towards their mutual opponent. Anastacia looks a bit unsure of herself, but Iphy encourages her.

Phoenix: Four young women, carrying on a wrestling tradition. Four families represented here. The Wilsons, the Richards, the Alejandros and the Medrapedes family…

The bell rings!

Iphy nods to her partner as she’ll start the match. Tasmin also nods to Jessa. The young Alejandro moves to her corner, as Jessa moves to her corner. Tasmin and Iphy lock up in a traditional tie-up. Tasmin tries to use her speed to move herself out of the situation, but Iphy locks her up into a quick hammerlock and drops her to the mat. Tasmin throws her head back and connects with a quick headbutt.

Phoenix: There’s nothing pretty about Tasmin Richards. She’s a brawler, and Iphy is seemingly out of it for the moment.

As Iphy holds her mouth, Tasmin goes to the ropes and springs off as Iphy sits up to eat a springboard knee to the side of the head. Iphy rolls to the side for a moment and moves quickly as rolls into a standing moonsault. The grappler wisely tags in the younger competitor who leaps into the ring and nails a leg drop on the prone South Bay Champion!

Phoenix: And the kid throws a hard leg drop to the champ. She flies deceptively well for a near six foot woman.

Anastacia tries to get the cover on the champion, as she rolls her over and gets the pin attempt.

Tasmin throws her shoulder up and throws a right hook to the jaw of the rookie! Anastacia holds her jaw in some pain, as the champion rolls out and tags in her partner!

Phoenix: No amount of training can prepare you for a hard desperation shot from someone like Tasmin…

Jessa moves down and throws the taller opponent up and into a double knee facebreaker. The young Alejandro pops up and hits the mat on her back hard! As Jessa sees the result, she moves in for a quick pin!

Phoenix: It’s going to take a lot more than that to take out the rookie, and Jessa knows it.

Jessa pulls the rookie up to her feet and throws her into a suplex position, but Anastacia uses her long leg and ties up the hold! As Jessa fights, Anastacia pulls the wrist clutch in and moves behind Jessa. As she pulls the arm back around, she throws a vicious slap to the jaw of her opponent! Jessa hits the mat, but Anastacia isn’t able to hit the pin! Wisely, she moves back over and tags in Iphy.

Phoenix: The smart move by the young woman. Jessa threw her in that vicious face breaker and it took out a lot of energy.

Iphy grabs Jessa and drops her into a quick body lock! Jessa is in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go, as the Greek Grappler moves her legs into place to squeeze hard. As she tries to get the submission win, Tasmin flies in from the top with a hard elbow to the back of the head! It connects with Iphy, and the Greek competitor loses all grip on her hold!

Phoenix: And Iphy had that locked in, but Tasmin showing that awareness.

Jessa pulls into that straight jacket electric chair suplex she calls the Underdog! As she drops Iphy for the pin, the referee hits the mat one more time!

Anastacia hits Jessa with a hard leg drop from the leap as she flew in to the ring to stop the pin. Tasmin sees this and throws out Air Richards (Springboard supergirl punch) as Anastacia gets up from the landing! The punch connects hard, as the tall Cuban girl hits the mat on her front side.

Phoenix: An A for effort, Anastacia. But Tazzie saw you coming!

Jessa goes back around and throws Iphy into Falling to Pieces (Falling inverted DDT), as Tasmin rolls the rookie out to the floor!

Jessa sits up and nods to her partner, as they get their arms raised.

Mackenzie: Your winners. Tasmin Richards and Jessa!

Mackenzie: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first…

The opening to Inferno begins as the lights flash. Out from the back a pumped up Ryuji emerges. He smiles and makes his way down the ramp. He stops in front of the ring and pulls out a video game from his shirt and tosses it into the crowd before running into the ring. He climbs to rope and raises a fist into the air before jumping off into the middle of the ring. He waves to the crowd as his music dies out.

Mackenzie: From Indianapolis, Indiana, weighing in at two hundred two pounds, he is...RYUJI TAKAHASHI!!

Phoenix: We have Ryuji Takahashi, who ended his losing streak last Unscripted with a tag team victory with Melina Wilson against Danielle and Donovan Basch. Say what you want about it being a team victory, a win against the Baschs are impressive victories that cannot be ignored. Though as we remember that he and Melina do have a child with one another that famously does not typically pull for his mother, I wonder if Tamaki does the same thing for Ryuji or if he actually does show his father some support and root for him...

Operation Ground and Pound by Dragonforce starts up as Keiji Sugiwara enters the arena. He is focused and serious as he continues down the ramp. A few fans reach out to slap his hands, but his eyes focus on the ring. As he hits the bottom of the ramp, he nods and dives into the ring before popping up to his feet as his music fades out.

Mackenzie: And his opponent, from Osaka, Japan, weighing in at two hundred two pounds, he is the Last Emperor...KEIJI SUGIWARA!!

Phoenix: And we go from the man who created a child with Melina Wilson to the man dating Tone Aurelio, who is the brother of Alechs Aurelio, who still hasn’t been heard from since that brutal match against Julianna DiMaria awhile back here in West Coast Genesis. And speaking of streaks, Keiji and Ryuji’s win and loss totals in the past three matches are exactly the same: Two losses followed by a win. Some might try to discount Keiji’s being against Alicia Hixx, but you gotta take the wins when you can get them in the ring, no matter the opponent.

The two opponents begin circling the ring, keeping their eyes on one another as the bell sounds to signal the beginning of the match.

DING DING DING

Keiji is the one who makes the first move with a back elbow. Ryuji smirks a little bit after being struck with it before he follows it up with a running dropkick. Keiji responds with a thrusting side kick, knocking Ryuji down, but Ryuji gets right back to his feet and responds with a snap hurricanrana. This move finally keeps one of the competitors down for more than just a couple of seconds.

Phoenix: I think the move exchange that started off this match has finally ended with Ryuji standing tall after a snap hurricanrana. And we have a clear advantage at this stage of the match. Let’s see what Ryuji Takahashi has in store next for Keiji Sugiwara.

Ryuji executes a deadlift brainbuster on Keiji before hooking the leg.

Phoenix: And we got a near fall, but Sugiwara keeps the match going with a kickout before the count of three.

Ryuji gets to his feet but realizes he is on his back as Keiji immediately football tackles him, before delivering some lefts and rights to try to take control of the match. Takahashi returns to his feet, determined to try to take the control of the match right back but he is met with a Pele kick from Sugiwara that drops him to the mat. Cover by Keiji.

Phoenix: Ryuji Takahashi is now the one getting out of the near fall. Sugiwara was hoping that pele kick was going to be enough.

Ryuji attempts to get a chickenwing crossface, but Keiji doesn’t allow him to lock anything in, using it to send Ryuji into the corner. Keiji uses this as a chance to clothesline the cornered Ryuji bounces off the corner and falls to the mat, which Keiji begins climbing the top rope. The moment Ryuji gets up, he finds a flying double knee connecting to his chest. Cover.

Ryuji kicks out once more, but an Osaka Cutter puts him right back on the mat, prompting some cheers following the signature move. Keiji Sugiwara looks at the downed Ryuji Takahashi and then back at the ropes.

Phoenix: This is not good for Ryuji Takahashi if Keiji is doing what I think he’s doing.

Keiji rolls on the mat and flips off the ropes before doing another backflip and dropping an elbow into Ryuji Takahashi.

Phoenix: Sugiwara Hammer!! Keiji gets the cover!!

Mackenzie: Here is your winner...KEIJI SUGIWARA!!

Keiji rolls out of the ring as the referee holds his arm in the air. The infamous guitar shredding of DragonForce rings throughout the venue as Ryuji looks back up at the ramp, realizing he lost.

Phoenix: Wow, Ryuji looks especially disappointed. Maybe even a bit lost…

Ryuji stands back up, looking around at the crowd with an expression of sheer disappointment. He shakes his head before rolling out to the ring himself. The fans grow silent as they watch him heading back to the ring.

Phoenix: This is three losses in four matches and his one win was a tag match. You have to think his pride is completely shattered right now.

In the depths of the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, Remi Fontaine shakes off the adrenaline of his non-title bout against MG Moxie, Meryl Goldstein. It was a good match, highly energetic with a clean finish and a victory for the WCG Long Beach Champion. He’s still dressed in his ring attire, walking along the hall of locker rooms, and he stops before one of the doors. Raising his left hand, he glances at the time on his watch before he knocks thrice rapidly.

Remi Fontaine: Yo, Adam, you alright? I know this is the night you dreaded for two weeks. Just focus. You walk in, you wrestle, you walk out.

This is something that is easier said than done, of course. Adam Sanders is scheduled to face his ex-girlfriend, Izzy Roxx, in a matter of minutes. When his tag-team partner for the NGW Tag Team Trials doesn’t respond, Remi turns around and leans back against the door with a soft sigh.

Remi Fontaine: Bro, I can’t say I know exactly how you feel. I’ve never dealt with a breakup. I’ve never been in a relationship before Jesse. We experienced our first-ever legit fight a few days ago and that was intense, but that doesn’t really compare to what you’re going through and I should really shut up before I sound like a madman…

The young Fontaine doesn’t even know if his friend is in his locker room in the first place. He lays his hands down on his sides and sighs. Then, the door opens, and Remi manages to catch himself before he falls back.

Adam Sanders: No. It’s fine. I know where you’re coming from.

Adam Sanders is already dressed in his ring gear. His match was only minutes away, after all. But the Awkward One’s face had a lot of sorrow on it.

Adam Sanders: This match...it’s going to be difficult for me, isn’t it? Standing across the ring from her. Having to strike her. All of that after us...ending and stuff…

Remi’s turned to face him after catching himself. He examines Adam’s body language, the sorrow on his face, the pain in his eyes, and he simply places a hand on his shoulder.

Remi Fontaine: Nothing worthwhile is ever easy to contend with. As heartbreaking as this match is, in a strange way it’s also a blessing. You have the opportunity to let everything go, Adam. Finish this matter in the ring and keep moving forward. Do your best so you may rest, knowing that you will leave this all behind.

Sanders nods his head. He knows Remi is right.

Adam Sanders: I hope it’s that simple. Thanks for being there for me and even helping me with this match. You having a similar wrestling style to her helped a lot.

Sanders takes a deep breath.

Adam Sanders: In the end, I don’t hate her. I still care and stuff. It’s just...I couldn’t do it anymore…

Fontaine shakes his head slowly, not condescending but understanding.

Remi Fontaine: You did your best, my friend. That’s all you could have done. You deserved to be free from the endless toxicity. You deserved better.

The corners of his lips curl up in a familiar manner. Fontaine pats his shoulder and sheepishly grins.

Remi Fontaine: Hey, summer break just started. We can hang out more, chill at the beach, kill some zombies, catch some Pokemon, whatever you want. Tonight, dessert’s on me at The Cheesecake Factory.

Adam Sanders: Alright. And hey...thanks. Without you, Jessica, Adrien, and Tasmin... I’m not sure how I would have made it through the past two weeks.

Remi Fontaine: You would have made it, broseph. You’re a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for.

He flashes a grin, gives his shoulder a squeeze, and moves in for a quick, supportive hug. The fans in attendance cheer for Awkwardly Awesome as Fontaine releases Sanders and allows him to head towards ringside. The Rebel Angel looks on with a peculiar gaze before the scene fades to black.

Drums fill the entire venue as they pound rhythmically before the famous Foo Fighters guitar riff takes over. As the full band kicks in to perform the band's hit single "My Hero", the former West Coast Genesis Long Beach Champion appears on the ramp, earning a few cheers from each of the fans as the socially awkward and shy wrestler looks around at all the fans.

Mackenzie: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, weighing in at two hundred thirty-five pounds, he is the Awkward One...ADAM SANDERS!!

Phoenix: Probably not an easy match for the former West Coast Genesis Long Beach as he has to take on his newly departed paramore. Facing an ex-girlfriend immediately after a break-up is not something too many would want to do. Well...depending on the split.

Sanders, donning "Well, this is Awkward!", gives a wave to a fan or two before rolling under the ropes and into the ring, holding his arms high above his head as Dave Grohl sings the chorus for everyone to hear, savoring the moment from the corner.

Adam Sanders drops back down from the middle rope as he begins getting ready for the start of the match, stretching both of his legs, then his shoulders, followed by rolling his neck. The house lights dim and a strobe light show starts near the entranceway as an echo-y, staccato keyboard riff begins to play across the arena speakers.

As the vocals kick in, Izzy Roxx comes out, followed by her tubby manager, cameraman and best friend Seth Walton. She can be seen mouthing 'Welcome to the Izzyverse, baby!' as she stands with her legs spread out and points towards the arena ceiling with both hands, her entire body bobbing to the beat.

Mackenzie: And his opponent, from Across the Izzyverse, weighing in at one hundred five pounds, she is...IZZY ROXX!!

I'm looking down from the skyline
Dancin' on the moonlight
Can you see my name in the stars, yeah
I bet you won't forget me now!

Then, as the song moves on to its second verse, Izzy proceeds to race down the ramp, slapping every hand in sight. Upon reaching ringside, she vaults onto the top rope, then down onto the canvas, from where she continues to mug to, and interact with, the crowd until the song fades out. Izzy looks hesitant to extend her hand like she normally does but eventually does. Adam stares at the hand, contemplating whether he should or not before reaching out and…

DING DING DING

Both look up at one another in disappointment as the bell sounds. Izzy immediately starts landing chop strikes to Adam’s torso. Adam recoils back with each strike until he is against the ropes. Izzy runs against the ropes than towards Adam, who quickly remembers he’s in a match and lifts Izzy in the air to toss her over the ropes. Izzy is agile enough to land on her feet on the apron, something Sanders does not see.

Phoenix: Adam could be in trouble.

Izzy slingshots into the ring, prepared to try to end the match early with a frankensteiner that Sanders does not see coming. Izzy with the cover.

Sanders is able to kick out at the count of three. Izzy knows she has to keep the advantage her direction as she lands a dropkick on the student of the Dropkick King. She follows this up with a headscissors takedown. Izzy tries another cover.

Still not enough to put away her ex-boyfriend, Izzy begins climbing the top rope. She awaits Sanders to get to his feet before leaping.

Phoenix: Across the Izzyverse...WAIT, ADAM CATCHES HER!!

Sanders looks reluctant as he powerslams his ex-girlfriend to the mat. He hooks the leg.

ONE!!

TWO!!

THR...NO!!

Izzy kicks out but she doesn’t seem like she has a lot behind the kick out. Sanders lifts Roxx to her feet before whipping her against the ropes. He follows and finds Roxx getting her feet up in the air to give him a kick in the jaw. She uses this moment to leap for a hurricanrana...but Adam counters into a powerbomb.

Phoenix: That shook the ring!! Izzy isn’t moving. And Adam doesn’t seem pleased. Ex or not, he doesn’t want to hurt her. He’s actually asking her to please don’t kick out so the match can be over.

TWO!!

THR...NO!!

Izzy Roxx uses what could possibly be the rest of her strength to kick out of the pinfall. Adam lifts her up to try for the This Is Awkward, but Izzy wiggles free and lands behind him, bulldogging him into the mat. Izzy is unable to capitalize on the counter as she seems almost tapped out from the powerslam and powerbomb she’s suffered earlier in the match. When she finally gathers the strength to keep fighting, she lands a quick but impressive arm drag on the much heavier Adam Sanders before she climbs the top, looking to seal the victory with her finishing move.

Phoenix: This is the move that can make or break this match. Can she land the Rocketship?!

She leaps...is on target...but ADAM IS UP AND CATCHES HER!!

Phoenix: Uh oh...this isn’t good for Izzy. Adam has her on his shoulders and...DREAM BREAKER!!

Sanders shakes his head before hooking the leg, like he regrets the move.

DING DING DING

Foo Fighters starts playing as Adam looks down at Izzy, unsure if he should check on her or leave her be. Adam goes back and forth before rolling out of the ring, but at least motioning for paramedics to check on her.

Mackenzie: Here is your winner...ADAM SANDERS!!

EMTs reach the ring, but Izzy is already sitting up by the time they get there. She watches her ex-boyfriend stands from the top of the ramp before mouthing the words “I’m sorry” before disappearing behind the curtain.

Phoenix: Not an easy match for either of these competitors emotionally. Let’s check in backstage.

As Austen Blackwell is heading towards the gorilla position for his match with Sela, he makes his down the backhalls of the arena. He comes across one of the newer faces of West Coast Genesis.

Austen: Hey…. uh… Jessica, right?

She looks at him, shaking her head.

Jessa: Do not ever call me that damn name. It’s Jessa, not Jessica, not Jessie, not anything else.

She hated being called Jessica, for reasons most don’t know about.

Jessa: What do you want?

Austen: Oh, hey. I am sorry. My bad.

Austen was too focused on his match to have thought about anything new.

Austen: I truly did not mean that. I just wanted to say, nice job out there winning your debut match. You are going to definitely be a primetime player here if you wrestle like you did earlier.

Jessa shrugs her shoulders.

Jessa: Here, or there, doesn’t matter where really. I will keep wrestling like I always do. Doesn’t matter what company I am with.

Jessa in a way was hinting at something but wasn’t going to say what exactly.

Austen: Oh okay. Well, no matter what. Nice job.

He holds his hand out for her to shake. She looks at his hand but doesn’t go to shake it.

Jessa: Do I look like I am Melina? I don’t shake hands with some kiss ass married to the General Manager.

He looks down at his hand.

Austen: Well then….

He pulls his hand back.

Austen: Well it is about time for my match. Wish me luck!

Jessa looks at him as she shakes her head again.

Jessa: Again, what do I look like Melina? I don’t wish people luck who fuck their boss and are handed things.

Austen shrugs.

Austen: You win some… you lose some. I guess we have Julianna 2.0.

Austen laughs as he passes Jessa and is ready for his match to begin.

The opening chords of Halestorm’s “I Like It Heavy” play on the speakers. The lights fade out until only the stage is lit. Sela steps out from behind the curtains.

“Some like beautiful, perfect and pretty
I see the good in the bad and the ugly
I need the volume one louder than ten
I put the pedal to the metal, needle into the red
If the windows ain't shaking making my heart race
If I can't feel it in my chest I'm in the wrong damn place!”

Sela poses at the top of the ramp to the crowd’s reaction. When the tempo picks up she slams her fist to the ground as the lights come back up alternating in light blues and reds.

“I got a demon in my soul and a voice in my head
It's saying go, go, go! I can sleep when I'm dead
There's a sonic revelation bringing me to my knees
And there's a man down below who needs my sympathy
I got a ringing in my ears getting ready to burst
Screaming ‘hallelujah, motherfucker, take me to church’”

Sela walks down the ramp, a sadistic smile on her face as she looks towards the ring. She takes her time at ringside, teasing a ringpost with her fingers as she walks to one side of the ring and climbs on the apron near the corner. When the chorus kicks in she climbs up the turnbuckle and poses again.

“I like it louder than the boom of a big bass drum
I need it harder than the sound of a guitar grunge
I love to crank it up, make it thump and evil to the core
Headbanging in the pit and throwing my horns
And just like old school Sabbath, Zeppelin and Lemmy
I need to drop it down low and make it heavy
I like it heavy, oh ohh
I like it heavy, oh ohh”

Sela hops down inside the ring and poses once more inside the ring. She slaps at her chest several times screaming out to the audience before going to her corner. Her music fades as she warms up for her match.

Mackenzie: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. First to the ring from Tucson, Arizona… she is Sela-Rica Lark!

"Lions" by Skip Marley begins to play as the lights come down in the arena. The crowd has a hush come over them. As soon as the song kicks in, Austen Blackwell enters the arena as the words "AB" appear on the screen. They fade from green to blue and back, while spinning every few seconds. Austen stands atop the entrance ramp as he raises his arms to the crowd. They cheer for the SoCal boy. He points up to above the ring as a single spotlight comes on and it lights the center of the ring. Austen yells "Come on!" as he turns his focus on the middle of the ring. He runs down the ramp and slides into the ring head first, popping back up to his feet as the spotlight shines on him. He opens his arms wide, as the fans welcome him.

Mackenzie: And her opponent from Oceanside, California weighing in at 187 pounds… he is “The True Heart” Austen Blackwell!

The referee calls for the bell.

DING DING DING

Sela taunts Austen as he charges for her. She is able to take advantage and uses a jumping knee into his stomach as he doubles over. A Snap DDT sends his head to the canvas as Sela smiles out towards the crowd. She grabs the arm of Blackwell and drags him up to his feet. She twists his arm as Austen yells out in pain, She torques his arm more, working it over more. Pulling his arm back and down, she tries to snap it as his body is pulled with it. Austen backs up a little towards her, but she is able to maintain control. Austen starts to wiggle his arm loose, as Sela releases him but takes him to the mat with a chop block. Austen falls forward to the canvas as Lark is proud of her down. She grabs the arm of Blackwell once more, and drags him up. He tries to fight her off, but she twists his arm and uses a shoulder breaker.

Phoenix: Sela-Rica Lark is starting this match off clearly the aggressor. She is keeping to her word, wearing Blackwell down, and putting pain on his body.

Sela uses a series of stomps to his arms and shoulder, before she drags her boot against his jaw. She covers.

And Blackwell kicks out of it. He tries to sit up, but Lark charges forward with a running knee. He drops to the canvas again as she covers again with an elbow to his jaw.

And Austen kicks out of it again.

Sela rolls back up to her feet as Austen is slow to get up. Blackwell grabs for her arms from behind, but she uses a Mule Kick that drops him down. Back up to her feet, she charges for a Shining Wizard that knocks him to the canvas once again. She rolls him and covers.

TH---

And he kicks out of it.

Phoenix: Hate him or love him, Blackwell is resilient.

Austen is slow up to his feet near the ropes as she charges towards him. As she tries to attack, he quickly lifts his back up and catches Lark. He sends her up and over the top rope as she falls to the floor on the outside. Blackwell holds his shoulder in pain as he slowly gets to his feet. The referee begins a ten count as Sela is out on the outside.

Austen tries to shake off the pain from his shoulder.

Phoenix: No… don’t do it Austen!

Austen runs for the opposite ropes as Sela starts to get up to her feet. Blackwell charges the ropes near her but he stops himself and throws his hands out almost as if he were faking out a suicide dive. Sela sees him, grabs his feet, and pulls his legs out from under him. He falls to his back inside of the ring as Sela rolls back in. She raises up to her feet. Austen slowly raises up to his feet as Sela is behind him. She uses P4P (Trapped headbutts to base of the neck) as Austen falls forward to one knee. Sela puts a boot to the back and shoulder of Blackwell as he falls forward to the canvas. She rolls him over and hooks a leg.

THRE- NO!

Phoenix: Blackwell kicked out! He is hanging out!

Sela-Rica cannot believe it. She grabs Austen by the hair and drags him up to his feet. She stands in front him and looks for Wrekt (Snapmare Neckbreaker) but he flips out of the snapmare and lands on his feet. He sends a reverse kick to her that catches her in the stomach. He spins around and hits a Discus Clothesline that takes her to the mat. A Somersault leg drop and he drapes the leg over her for a pin attempt.

ONE

And she powers out of it.

Phoenix: Blackwell needs to keep on the offensive.

Austen heads up to his feet as he heads for the ropes. Lark is slowly up to her feet as Blackwell charges back towards her and hits a Running single leg dropkick. She lands on her back. Austen uses a Standing 450 Splash as he covers.

And she kicks out of it. Austen raises up to his feet as the crowd raises to their feet. He grabs the legs of Lark and flips her to her stomach. He locks in Cali Check (Elevated Boston crab with knee to the back/Lion Tamer) as Sela seems to go quiet with the knee to her back.

Phoenix: That has to hurt! That cannot be pleasant!

Sela has a grin on her face, fighting through the pain.

Phoenix: It is obvious she was enjoying the predicament she is in.

Sela starts to fade slowly, but is not giving up. Austen puts more pressure on her back as Sela passes out. The referee calls for the bell.

DING DING DING

Phoenix: She truly enjoys the pain… Austen gets a win… but I am sure he would have preferred her to tap out.

Mackenzie: The winner of the match… he is Austen Blackwell!

He releases the hold as the referee checks on Austen. Blackwell heads up to the second rope in the corner as the fans cheer him on. Sela comes to and heads up to her feet. Austen is not aware of it as she low blows Austen from behind. The fans boo loudly. Sela-Rica lifts Austen up and hits Wrekt (Snapmare Neckbreaker) as she leaves him laid out in the middle of the ring.

Phoenix: Blackwell wins…. But Lark gets the last laugh!

As Sela makes her way back up the entrance ramp the lights in the arena go out. A hush comes over the crowd as flashes of cameras light up the arena. Some of the flashes catch a shadow standing in the middle of the ring. As they lights come back up, Jimmy Pagan is standing in the middle of the ring. He grabs Austen Blackwell by the hair and drags him up to his feet.

Phoenix: No! Come on! This is too much!

He hits Nativity in Black (Storm Cradle Driver) as Austen is down on the mat for the count. Pagan stands over him laugh maniacally as the cameras move backstage.

The cameras cut to the back to Melina Wilson’s locker room. Melina is inside as she is stretching, getting ready for her match against Danielle Basch. Inside of the room was her son Tamaki, and her friend Nik. She slowly stops stretching as she looks over at the two.

Melina: You guys will be fine right?

Nik: Yeah, Mel. All good. We got the Switch. Focus on your match.

Nik had bought him and Tamaki a Nintendo Switch for them to share and play with.

Melina: I will, but you know you are spoiling him.

Melina looks at them as she shakes her head.

Melina: I am ready for my match, but I am sure Tamaki wants Mommy to lose.

Tamaki looks at her as he nods his head.

Nik: Tamaki… you want her to win, right?

He looks down at Melina’s son.

Tamaki: No, Mommy lose.

Tamaki was sticking to his guns. He looks at them, not wanting to budge.

Melina: One day Tamaki you will. Told you Niky.

She laughs while she glances at Nik.

Nik: Well...Tamaki is going to lose, and Niky is going to win!

He laughs, pointing at the Switch.

Tamaki: But no. Mommy boyfriend mean.

Tamaki starts to pout. Nik turns white, realizing the cameras were on. He looks at Mel.

Melina: Well… umm, I guess the cat is out of the bag.

Melina looks at Nik, as she walks closer to him.

Melina: No sense in denying it. Can’t change it. I’m fine with it being out.

He reaches out and puts his arm around her.

Nik: I guess Tamaki confirmed it.

He laughs as he plants a kiss on Melina. She kisses him back, as she breaks it.

Melina: He did. Good one little boy.

She glances at Tamaki, as he gives an innocent look.

Tamaki: I good boy.

Nik reaches down and lifts him up.

Nik: Definitely. Now kiss your mom on the cheek to wish her good luck… for me?

Tamaki looks at him, before nodding his head. He leans over kissing Melina’s cheek.

Melina: Thank you, sweetie.

She kisses his cheek, before stepping back.

Nik: Good luck, babe.

He kisses Melina once more before the cameras move back into the arena.

The scene opens up in Mercedes’ office as she speaks on the phone with someone unheard. Her words are also unheard for the most part. There’s a knock on the door.

Mercedes: Come in.

Mercedes draws her attention back to her phone for a moment and when she hangs up finally, she turns to see Sela standing there, still a little worn from her match but smiling broadly, almost insidiously. Sela sways back and forth very nonchalantly as she approaches.

Sela: Well, getting called to the principal’s office. I feel like I just dunked the nerd into the toilet after lighting a match against his-

Mercedes holds a hand up, stopping Sela’s words in her tracks.

Mercedes: I would really like to not know about any more of that stuff Miss Lark. I have a few things wanted to discuss with you.

Mercedes looks right at Sela, showing her she was serious.

Mercedes: Do you feel you are getting every opportunity you desire here?

Sela thinks about it for a moment.

Sela: Well, haven’t been able to shed too much blood, but I guess that’s my fault really. Playing a little too nice because I want them to really feel-

Sela looks at Mercedes who has a very unamused look on her face. Sela rolls her eyes and sighs.

Sela: Yes, yes, I’m fine with what I got. Of course, I want more, like a chance to actually maim someone without some significant other pulling them from my grasp. Is everyone here dating? Is that a thing?

Mercedes: There are a few who are dating, or married yes. That can be expected in our business as I am sure you are aware. Besides facing someone whose significant other won’t get involved with, is there anything else?

Mercedes was really curious, more so most others had asked for other things, or demanded things, but Sela hadn’t yet. Sela starts to sway again.

Sela: If you’re expecting me to come in here and be one of these asses that demands their opportunities be handed to them, you can guess again. I have time and patience and of course, blood to spare. If I’m relegated to waiting and waiting, I can do that. I’ll hold out. No one else will in the end.

Mercedes: Interesting. I like that, not demanding, but letting me know your intentions. Because of this, at the next Unscripted, you will be added to the Long Beach Title match. How do you like that?

Sela smiles and bites at the tip of her finger, drawing a small amount of blood.

Sela: I say, bring the Red Cross and ask for donations. There’s going to be a scarlet bath in that ring when I finish playing this time.

Sela grins deviously as she skips off camera and out the door.

Bad Girls World by Halestorm starts playing, as Melina Wilson would walk out. She stops at the top of the ramp, as she looks at everyone, before throwing her hands up, as she bends her knee. She soon snaps her hands down, before walking down to the ramp, as she climbs the ring ropes. She would climb into the ring, as she goes over to her corner, climbing on the turnbuckle, as she sits on it, with her long legs laying on one of the ropes to her side as she waits for the match to start.

Mackenzie: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is your Semi Main Event. First to the ring from Boise, Idaho… she is Melina Wilson!

As the intro to “Applause” by Lady Gaga begins to play, Danni emerges from behind the curtain. She stands in the center of the stage, surveying the crowd as she smiles. As the music kicks up, she runs to one corner of the stage, clapping in time to the music as the crowd does the same. She then does the same on the other side, before walking down to the ring apron. She runs around the ring, psyching up the crowd before running up the ring steps. She walks along the ring apron, stopping about halfway as she faces the ring, then drops down into the splits before sliding under the bottom rope. She then gets back to her feet and heads to her corner, mounting the turnbuckle and saluting the crowd once more before jumping back down and waiting for the match to begin.

Mackenzie: And her opponent from El Segundo, California… she is the “South Bay Siren” Danielle Basch!

Both ladies get loose in their respective corners as the referee checks to make sure that they are both ready, as they nod.

DING DING DING

The match begins as both Wilson and Basch lock up. The former South Bay Champion tries to maintain control over the one person that has been vying for her husband’s West Coast Championship. Danielle pulls Melina into a side headlock. Melina goes to use a back body drop but Danielle flips out of it and lands on her feet. Melina locks her arm looking for an arm drag, but Danielle blocks it. Basch locks her arm, but this time Melina blocks it. Danielle looks for a lariat, but Melina ducks it and runs for the ropes. She rebounds and looks for a running lariat of her own, but Danielle ducks it herself. Wilson stops in her tracks and spins around only to be met with a standing dropkick by Basch to finally end the back and forth almost shots.

Phoenix: Wow. What a start!

Danielle uses a springboard moonsault as Melina gets her knees up and catches Basch in the stomach. Danielle rolls off clutching her stomach, as Melina rises to her feet. She reaches for the hair of Danielle and drags her up to a vertical base. Wilson uses Wilson Kick (Spinning Heel Kick) as she takes Danni down to the mat. Melina forgoes a pin attempt as she locks in The Wilson Twist (Ankle Lock). Danielle screams out in pain as she tries to fight out of it. She wiggles and shimmies,and finally is able to twist her body as she throws Melina forward towards the ropes. Wilson throws her hands up and stops her momentum. Danielle gets up to her feet and charges for Melina. Danielle uses an O’Connor Roll to pin Melina.

ONE

And Melina rolls it to Danielle’s shoulders.

And Danielle rolls it once more to Melina’s shoulders.

And a kick out.

Phoenix: These two, while they do not like each other, they are all about business right now.

Melina pushes Danielle forward as she quickly pulls Danielle down from behind with a schoolgirl pin.

ONE

And Danielle powers out of it. She quickly kips up and sends a boot to the head of Wilson, and wraps both legs with a cover.

TWO

And Melina kicks out with power, throwing Danielle off of her. Danielle quickly pulls up to her feet as Melina uses the ropes to climb up. Both ladies reset as they charge as each other. Melina goes high for a dropkick but Danielle slides forward on her knees as she dodges it. Danielle pops back up to her feet as Melina pops back up. Danielle moves for a kick, but Melina catches her foot. Wilson uses a kick of her own, and follows it up with a DDT dropping Danielle to the mat. Melina covers.

TWO

And Basch kicks out. Melina pulls back up to one knee. She grabs Danielle and locks in Wilson ChokeStretch (Bow and Arrow Choke) as Danielle tries to squirm out ot it. Melina has it locked in tight.

Phoenix: Wilson looking to continue to wear down the former South Bay Champion.

Danielle tries to pull her body forward, and succeeds. She gets her right foot on the bottom rope as Melina chokes her more to a five count.

FOUR

FI- And Melina releases her. Danielle is shown coughing trying to catch her breath as the referee scolds Melina. Wilson raises up to her feet and puts her hand to the referee as if she did not want to hear it.

Phoenix: Love her or hate her, she does have a five count and she fully uses it.

Melina turns back around to face Danielle, and she is met with a Flying headscissors that sends her spinning through the air. She lands hard on the mat with a hard thud. Danielle pops to her feet as the crowd gets behind her. A standing moonsault, and she covers Melina.

TW-

Wilson powers out of it. Danielle grabs her by the head, and uses a series of strikes. Wilson grabs the hair of Basch, and pulls her so that Basch screams in pain.

Phoenix: Melina Wilson is playing dirty!

The referee warns Melina to knock it off, or get DQd. Danielle pushes off and raises up to her feet. Basch runs at the ropes and rebounds as Melina as working to get up, but is met with a Shining Wizard by Danielle Basch. Melina is down on the canvas as Danielle looks to finish it off. She heads up to the top rope and looks at the crowd. As she points down at her opponent with one hand, she gives a thumbs down with the other, then takes off hitting Riptide (the shooting star senton) as she lands it. Danielle hurries and hooks a leg for the pin attempt.

Phoenix: What a match!

Mackenzie: The winner of the match… she is Danielle Basch!

Danielle rolls off of her as she pulls to her feet. Basch, being the person she is, reaches down for the hand of Melina to help her up. Wilson shoves her back and does not want her help. Instead, Melina pulls herself to the outside and heads up the entrance ramp. We see a preview for Unscripted in two weeks.

Scene cuts back to the locker room shared by the reigning West Coast Champion Donovan Basch and his wife Danielle. Having just finished her match against Melina Wilson, Danielle has yet to remove her ring gear.

Danielle: Well, that’s one win down for the Basches; now all I have to do is sit back and watch you maim that loony motherfucker...

Donovan seems a tad withdrawn, as he barely acknowledges his wife's presence in the room as he finishes his pre-match preparations. Curious, with a look of mild concern on her face, Danielle walks up to her husband.

Danielle: Earth to Spidey….

Donovan stops what he's doing.

Donovan: Sorry, Nixy. I'm just really focused on my match with that slime…

Danielle: You mean that “House of 1000 Corpses” reject?

Donovan goes back to getting ready, slipping on his sleeveless ring jacket.

Donovan: The very same. Pinning him won't be enough, dearest. For what he's done to so many people….

Danielle: Including Julianna?

Donovan: Yes, even Julianna. Regardless of how either of us feel about her, she didn't deserve what he put her through.

Danielle: Part of me feels bad for her, but at the same time, I’m not gonna shed a tear for her.

Donovan: Still, it's what he did to Austen that angers me the most. Austen trusted him, and look at what happened. Pridmore stabbed him in the back, and betrayal is something I will not abide.

Danielle walks up behind him and rubs his shoulders.

Danielle: I know, Donny… which is why I can’t wait until you leave him lying in a pool of his own bodily fluids.

Donovan: That can be arranged, dearest….

Donovan turns around as Danielle retrieves his championship belt from the top of his gear bag. She drapes it over his shoulder, then scans his massive frame from head to toe, a proud smile on her face.

Danielle: Absolutely magnificent… now go fuck him up!

Donovan: No need to tell me twice, my dear….

Husband and wife share a brief kiss before Donovan heads out into the hallway. Scene then cuts to ringside.

Mackenzie Murphy: The following bout is the Main Event of Hype, and it is for the West Coast Championship!!!!

The heavy bass intro of “Devil in I” by Slipknot plays, as the lights in the arena seemingly begin to malfunction. The arena fills with black smoke, as the music begins to slow down. Through the bottom of the stage, with the smoke and sporadic lighting, Jimmy Pagan slowly rises to the top. He stands there menacingly, as the chorus approaches. When the music picks back up again, the “Godless” Jimmy Pagan bursts to life. He charges to barricades, terrifying some of the fans as he makes his way down to the ring. The music slows down again, as he too, starts moving corpse like, as he slowly enters the ring. He hangs himself in the tree of woe, and spreads his arms out, so that his body makes an upside down cross. He sneers dementedly into the camera, as he waits for the match to begin.

Mackenzie Murphy: Introducing first, the challenger, hailing from Beverly Kills, California, and weighing in at 220 pounds…. “GODLESS” JIMMY PAGAN!!!

Hayden Phoenix: Well folks, tonight's challenger used a TON of subterfuge to get himself this shot. Now we can only wait and see if it pays off for him.

Once the opening chords of "2x4" echo through the arena, Donovan emerges from the backstage area, taking his time to survey the arena and the fans attending the event, with the West Coast Championship belt draped over his shoulder. He holds up the belt and lets out a roar as he makes his way to the ring, which the fans in the arena duplicate, albeit at a much higher volume. Once he reaches the ring, he performs a standing jump from the floor to the apron, pausing long enough to shoot one last look over his shoulder before entering the ring.

Mackenzie Murphy: And his opponent…. He is the reigning West Coast Champion, residing in Oceanside, California and weighing in at 270 pounds… he is the “TRI-CITY TITAN” DONOVAN BASCH!!!

Hayden Phoenix: The champ certainly looks like he wants to kill his opponent tonight. Perhaps Pagan’s psychological attack can prove the key to defeating this mountain of a man….

Corey Carter finishes inspecting both wrestlers before he issues his final instructions. Donovan’s eyes are burning a hole through his foe’s head, while Pagan smiles a sick grin. The official calls for the bell.

DING DING DING

Donovan hasn’t moved, but Jimmy raises his arms and tilts his head back, mocking the Crucifixion. We can see his lips move, and a few seconds later, Basch hauls off and slaps the taste out of Jimmy’s mouth.

Hayden Phoenix: Not a smart move. The champ came into this match already angry… why poke the bear?

Basch goes to lock up, but the wily Pagan slips under his grasp and lays into Donovan’s leg, trying to get it to cramp up. A low dropkick to his ankle brings the titan down to one knee, which gives Jimmy the perfect opening to clock Donovan upside the head with a Discus Forearm. With the big man groggy, the challenger runs the ropes and catches the champion dead between the eyes with a running knee. He quickly covers.

TWO!

Kickout!

Hayden Phoenix: Looking to catch a quick pin, but Basch still had enough awareness to kick out of the pin.

Pagan applies a headlock and starts grinding his forearm into Basch’s face. After a minute, Donovan gets to his feet, with Jimmy still applying the hold. Dropping backwards, Donovan drives the wind out of Jimmy’s body. Donovan grabs Pagan with both hands firmly around his neck and literally tosses his across the ring. Pagan still manages to stay upright, just long enough to eat a Jumping Spinning Crescent Kick.

Hayden Phoenix: The champ, reasserting control….

Once again, Basch deadlifts Pagan to his feet, pausing for a split second before he lifts Jimmy over his head with a Military Press. Jimmy wriggles free and lands behind the behemoth. He kicks the back of Donovan’s right knee, bringing him down to one knee again. He backs up and gets a running start, hitting his signature Abyss Kick. Unfortunately, it didn’t connect fully, so it didn’t knock the big man onto the canvas.

Hayden Phoenix: Man! If Jimmy Pagan would have hit that kick a little more cleanly, we could’ve seen a new West Coast Champion!

Jimmy tries to hit the Abyss Kick one more time, but Donovan was ready for him, trapping his leg before standing back up. With the two men face to face, Jimmy tries to make Basch release him by hitting a headbutt. Donovan shakes his head and hits a headbutt of his own. Donovan drapes his free arm over Jimmy’s shoulder and turns his body so that his back is to the ropes. Letting out a roar, the champ launches Jimmy back with a high angle Exploder Suplex that catapults the smaller man over the top rope to the outside.

Hayden Phoenix: Oh my GOD! Pagan hit the floor like a ton of bricks!

Pagan slowly begins to stir, getting to his knees as Donovan stands in the ring, watching intently. As soon as Pagan starts to right himself, the champion runs to the opposite side of the ring, bouncing off the ropes to gain momentum. He then goes soaring over the top rope just as the challenger turns back toward the ring, laying Jimmy out with a tope con giro.

Hayden Phoenix: And the champion, putting his deceptive speed on full display in this match! He may have turned Pagan into a human pancake!

With both men down, the champion starts to stir first as the referee starts to count both men out.

ONE!

TWO!

Donovan gets to his feet just as Pagan rolls over onto his knees. Basch grabs the challenger and pulls him up, putting him into position as if he was about to attempt a fallaway slam...

THREE!

FOUR!

Instead of the fallaway slam, Basch tosses Pagan back first against the ringpost, sending the challenger crumpling into a heap with his body draped over the ring steps. Jimmy slides down, turning over so that he’s slumping with his back against the ring steps, while Donovan is backing up, his eyes fixed on the challenger. Jimmy looks dazed, his facepaint smeared all over the place. Donovan charges forward, looking to drive a knee into the challenger’s skull, but at the last moment, Jimmy moves out of the way, sending the Tri-City Titan plowing into the ring steps with thunderous impact. Donovan’s momentum sends him flipping over the steps, landing hard on the other side...

Hayden Phoenix: I can’t believe Pagan had the wherewithal to get out of the way of what could have been one skull-crushing move!

FIVE!

SIX!

Donovan gets back to his feet just in time to see Pagan running up and over the steps and delivering a diving forearm smash to the champion, that sends his head snapping backward, catching him by surprise. Pagan then jumps onto the apron and attempts a cross body, but Donovan catches him in mid-air, turning him around to hit a vicious tilt-a-whirl backbreaker right onto the apron! At the count of 8, Pagan is pushed back into the ring by the champion, with Donovan right on his heels, getting back in the ring just as the referee reaches nine.

Hayden Phoenix: I don’t think neither man wants this match to end on a double count-out...

Jimmy gets up first, but not without some obvious pain in his back from that backbreaker onto the apron. He manages to get in a few stomps to the champion’s face before Basch manages to fight his way back up to a vertical base. Pagan swings with his left hand, but Donovan catches his arm and traps him in a hammer lock. As if to add salt to the wound, Donovan inflicts even more pain by blasting the challenger’s shoulder with a brutal headbutt. He then cranks on the pressure before Jimmy manages to bend down to grab the champion’s ankle. Jimmy shakes his arm, as if to shake off the pain. As Donovan starts to get up, Jimmy delivers a boot to the face of the champion, followed by a second and a third. He then follows with a few hard stomps to the back of the champion’s knee.

Hayden Phoenix: A smart move by the challenger; by going after the leg of the champion, he takes away a significant advantage. If the champion can’t stand, he can’t make full use of his strength.

Jimmy pushes forward on Basch’s leg, as if to set up for another strike to the knee, but Donovan gets his other foot up, pushing the challenger off and launching him across the ring. With Jimmy hanging on the ropes, Donovan gets up onto his knees, but as he tries to get back to his feet, Pagan comes up from behind with a vicious chop block. He then follows up with the Abyss Kick to the back of the champion’s head, then quickly rolls him over for the cover.

ONE!

TW-KICKOUT!

Jimmy screams at the referee, accusing him of a slow count. With the challenger distracted, the champion comes up behind him, turning him around and lifting him up before dropping him back down with Apocalypse. He brings the challenger crashing to the mat, then goes for the cover...

ONE!

TWO!

THR...NO!

At the last possible second, Jimmy manages to kick out, leaving the champion both shocked and enraged. He gets up onto his knees, gripping the hair on the sides of his head before dropping back down on all fours, staring at the challenger like a lion stalking a wounded gazelle. In the blink of an eye, Basch slaps on an armtrap crossface, pulling back with everything he has.

Hayden Phoenix: What is this? I’ve never seen him do this before!

Basch continues to crank on the pressure, roaring loudly at the challenger...

Donovan: SUBMIT!!!

Jimmy looks up and sees Austen Blackwell come charging down the entrance ramp. Pagan sees him coming as he taps out to Basch.

DING DING DING

Pagan squirms as Donovan releases the hold. Austen slides into the ring as Jimmy pulls himself towards the outside of the ring. He falls to the ground below as Austen continues running and passes Basch. Before Blackwell can catch up with Pagan, members of security and the ring crew grab him and stop him. Pagan backs off as he slowly tries to get up to his feet but is still not one hundred percent because of the match. Blackwell is beside himself as he is fighting tooth and nail to get to Jimmy as Pagan climbs over the barricade and hobbles through the audience to escape. Donovan looks down at Austen and shakes his head unsure of what to think. He raises his title into the air as security tries to calm Austen down.

Mackenzie: The winner of the match... West Coast Champion... DONOVAN BASCH!

The show ends on a split screen of both Blackwell and Basch.
