The scene opens up on Melina as she was inside of her grandmother's home, the home she would go to when she was in Boise. She was looking at pictures on the wall of her family, and herself. She stops on one, as it is of her, and Nik when they were kids. They were out in the yard, sitting together on a swing. It was a sweet picture, both were about twelve years old. Melina smiles, as she is looking at it. She starts walking away from the picture after a few minutes before she starts talking.
Melina: Sometimes the past comes back, and you love it, it can be a good thing. Sometimes the past comes back, and it can be a bad thing, while sometimes the past never leaves. I have seen what happens when the past comes back and it's a bad thing. We won't get into that. Then we have it comes back and is a good thing. I am in that right now. Most people know about Nik, know he is a friend, and from my past. Honestly, I love that he is here when I need a friend. He gets me, he knows the real me. He is someone I can lean on. Not often you find a friend like that.
She pauses in what she was saying, as she thinks about a few things.
Melina: As I mentioned, at times your past never leaves. That is what Ryuji is. Ryuji knows me better than most, we have been through a lot, been there for each other. Truthfully ring wise, I wouldn't want anyone else as my partner. I trust him inside of the ring more than anyone. We may not always win, but I know he has my back like I have his back. It's exactly how it should be.
She looks around the hallway, as she is heading for the front door.
Melina: Really in a lot of ways The Baschs are like Ryuji and me. They know how it is to have each other's backs, know they can trust each other. I am sure both will agree that it is nice knowing that you don't have to worry about someone backstabbing you. The only difference is, Ryuji and I have teamed up a lot, while The Baschs hardly have, if at all. Sure they are great as singles, but who says they are anything more as a tag team. For all we know, they could be terrible as a team, even if they are great outside of the ring. I mean, we all do remember Tasmin and Hunter teaming up.
She laughs lightly.
Melina: For real though, this should be a good match, I know Ryuji, and I are both ready for this, I hope Danielle and Donovan are as well. No holding back. May the best team win.
She gets to the front door, as she steps outside of it. She shuts the door as the scene fades out.
