$$$$$ ON CAMERA $$$$$
May 26th, 2018 2:43 PM
PG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, PA
The arena is empty except for one man, still driving and striving as fast as he can. Actually, he's sitting in the nose bleed section with his head hung low. There are no weights around Mason Moore, no titles, he doesn't even try to show off his muscles like he normally would, instead opting for a simple black NGW shirt and black workout pants.
"Five straight losses."
Mason raises his head up, but the normal confidence just doesn't seem to be there. It's obvious that the last few shows have taken their toll on him.
"I've had a lot of people tell me that I shouldn't get upset about the last show. They say that I was dominate and it's not like I was the one that got pinned. Here's the thing, that doesn't matter. The only thing the record book shows, is that I lost. There's no asterisk with a little note that says, Triple Threat Match, Was Not Pinned. If there were, my section alone would have about 97 asterisks beside it. It doesn't matter if I dominated the match. It doesn't matter if I wasn't the won to take the pin. It doesn't matter if people enjoyed the match. The only thing that matters is that I lost. I have lost five in a row, and I don't know how to fix things. Maybe the tag match thing will be what turns it all around. I'm teaming with the love of my life, tonight and tomorrow night. Maria has been turning things around as of late, maybe her being by my side is what will let me turn it around."
Mason shrugs slightly, still not completely sure if that will be the key or not.
"Tonight, people are expecting quite a bit from us as we face Donovan Basch and Austen Blackwell, two West Coast Genesis wrestlers. Basch is the current West Coast champion, Austen has been touted as a future champion by a lot of people, and they have a solid friendship. Of course, I am a former Spotlight champion, Maria is seen as someone with championship potential, we have a much more intimate relationship, and we have been training as a team even before the announcement of this tournament. We are tapped as potential winners by some people, and almost everyone has us winning this first round match. Tomorrow night though... that's a bit of a different story."
Mason takes a deep breath as he stands up and starts walking down the steps with the camera going right in front of him.
"People are asking why myself and Maria are in a match for the tag team titles. They're asking what we have done to earn this match. They're asking what makes us a worthy contender for the titles? Why not Chaos Love? Why not Rebel ink. Hell some people are even saying that those asshole Shields and Tillman deserve a chance to get the titles back. One of our opponents even asked what we are doing in the match. Which is a little bit odd honestly. If Ronnie North had asked that question, I could understand that. Everyone knows that he doesn't watch the show."
Mason stops and gives a little wink to the camera and cracks a smile before he continues to walk.
"For Kaylee Kassie to ask that question though... She is the reason why myself and Maria are in this match. She went directly to Devlin Scott, completely bypassing the general manager by the way, and demanded that myself and Maria be named the opponents for her and Ronnie in this tag title match. Maria goes out there, beats her, Kaylee is upset because Maria might have had her hand on Kaylee's tights, and her decision is to reward Maria with a chance at tag team gold. I know Kaylee isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but that doesn't seem very smart. Of course she also implied that a man who is know to have been a stripper and dabble in adult entertainment, was lacking in the manhood department. Seriously Kaylee, that would be like me calling Ronnie North a virgin or you intelligent. It just isn't true at all."
Mason gives another shrug of the shoulders and then a simple hip thrust.
"With that out of the way, let's get back to the people who say we haven't earned this opportunity. Well, neither have Kaylee Kassie or Ronnie North. They have this title match as a result of Jew Blazer or Josh Goldstein or whatever he's calling himself, being part of the winning team way back at Warfare. In all honestly, Adrien Cochrane earned this match, not any of them. Still, he was part of that team and all of them got a reward because of that. Adrien is cashing in a Heavyweight title match at WrestleForce, Jessica Sears got screwed when she attempted to cash in for a Young Lions title shot, Jazmyn Rain is holding out until a later date. Josh Blazer... yea that works and is much easier than calling him The Jew Blazer Josh Goldstein. Just gonna combine them in to one simple name. Anyway, Blazer basically had his cash in taken by his wife. If it was him and Ronnie North teaming up or him and Kaylee Kassie teaming up, okay. It's not though. It's two people who had zero involvement in Warfare, cashing in a reward."
Mason gets to the bottom row of seats and sits right back down.
"Myself and Maria, we didn't go and ask for this match. We didn't go to Amber Richards or Devlin Scott and ask to face them. Kaylee Kassie decided she was cashing in her husbands opportunity and she demanded we be the opponents. If you ask me, we deserve this match just as much if not more than Kaylee and Ronnie. At least we signed up to represent New Generation Wrestling in the Tag Team Trials Tournament. End of the day though, doesn't matter if people thing we earned the title shot. Sunday night, we will go out there and earn those tag team titles. Maria has already beaten Kaylee, and much as I like Ronnie North, I know that I am bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic, and I am damn sure more determined than he is. I told myself that if I can't right the ship by WrestleForce, I would leave... for good. I think winning the tag team titles wouldn't definitely count as righting the ship. I am practically putting my career on the line over the next two months, so you can imagine how determined I am to go out there and win, especially with gold on the line."
Mason stands back up and walks off, telling the camera to hold up as he's obviously done. He starts to head to the locker room, but instead goes right to the ring, slides inside and just stands inside it for a bit. He makes the title belt motion around his waist and nods his head as the scene slowly fades.
