The scene opens up inside of Serenity, and Avery’s home. They were both there, getting ready for the baby shower they were to have there with family, and friends who couldn’t be at the one they had with NGW wrestlers. Serenity was happy, as she was looking around the room, after having just finished letting some balloons go towards the ceiling. Along one wall was a table with blue, and pink bow attached to it, that was for the baby gifts. Another table had some food, and a cake decorated for the babies. She smiles, as she sees Avery walking inside the room. His parents were helping to get everything setup, along with their friends Sawyer and Annabelle. They awaited the arrival of some friends.
Avery: Looks good. Baby shower, take two…
He laughs.
Avery: Dead Eye is supposed to be bringing Cheyenne, I hope it was okay I invited her along too?
He looks at Serenity as the doorbell rings.
Avery: Saved by the bell?
Avery’s mom heads to the door and opens it.
Katherine: Hello?
Stacy: Hi there.
Katherine: Serenity? I think someone is here for you.
Serenity comes over to see who it was as she smiles.
Serenity: Mom this is my cousin Stacy, and her boyfriend Robbie. Guys, this is My Mother In Law, Katherine.
Stacy smiles as she hugs Serenity. Robbie stands there, not sure what to do or say. He was fine in his own element with his cousins Hunter and Austen, but this was all new to him.
Robbie: Hello.
He stands, with his hands behind his back. No quicker than they start to head inside, another vehicle pulls up the driveway. The vehicle is an emerald green Audi Q3, which makes the couple ponder who it might be. As they look, they see Dead Eye exit the passenger door, followed by Cheyenne Rae out of the driver's side.
Dead Eye: What up, kinfolk?
He raises a hand to wave at the two; then, he nudges his head toward Chey.
Dead Eye: Whew, remind me to not let this girl drive me on the interstate again! I was close to…
His sentence is cut off as he is smacked in the arm. Dead Eye gives her a side eye, then a smirk.
Chey: Hey Serenity, Avery. Thanks for inviting us.
CJ walks over and rubs Serenity's belly and gives Avery a brother hug.
Dead Eye: We the first ones here?
Serenity smiles as she shakes her head no.
Serenity: No, my cousin Stacy, and her boyfriend Robbie are here. They just got here, and of course Avery’s parents are here. Others should be coming soon.
The rumble of an engine is heard as a classic green Pontiac GTO pulls up the driveway parking just behind the green Audi.
Robbie: More people?
Avery: That would be my friend Keiji, and his boyfriend Tone.
The GTO turns off as Keiji and Tone hop out of the car. Tone was wearing a dark gray shirt, jeans, and some classic white sneakers. Keiji is wearing a black shirt, with the Avengers emblem on it, khakis, and a pair of tan sneakers. They approach the door, as Avery and Serenity are at the door to greet them.
Avery: Keiji. Tone.
Avery offers up some hugs. Serenity follows suit and hugs them both.
Avery: Okay. Dead Eye… CJ.
He laughs.
Avery: This is Cheyenne. This is Stacy.
Serenity nods, as Avery looks at her for reassurance.
Avery: Her boyfriend Robbie. Everyone, this is Keiji. And Tone. Tone is actually Alechs’ little brother. My mom and dad are inside, along with our friends Annabelle and Sawyer.
Chey: It's nice to meet you all. You guys wanna move this inside and get out of this crazy Georgia heat?
There is a murmur among the group as they all agree about the heat. Everyone goes inside and makes their way to the living room. Keiji gets a huge grin on his face, and begins to look towards the kitchen area.
Keiji: So, what you're telling me, is just in there, is Avery Miles Jr.? This, I have to got to investigate. Like, I can't pass up the chance.
Keiji and Tone then head hand in hand towards the kitchen to meet the parents so to speak. Tone looks over to Keiji.
Tone: I think he is technically the second, since the fourth is on the way, no?
Keiji and Tone meet Avery’s parents as they have a fun little side argument themselves. The group heads inside as the living room is setup with both blue and pink balloons, streamers, and other decorations. Serenity has a seat on the couch, as Stacy is on one side of her and Annabelle on the other.
Avery: This is Annabelle. We grew up together.
Annie waves.
Avery: Her husband Sawyer, the tall and quiet one.
A head nod from him to the group.
Avery: Everyone, take a seat.
A plethora of presents and cards on the table in front of Serenity. Serenity goes to grab the first one, as it is from CJ, and Cheyenne. She starts opening it. She smiles as she sees it is box of diapers, some wipes, along with bath set for the twins. Serenity looks at the two.
Serenity: Thank you guys.
CJ: We have something else in the car.
CJ heads out to go grab the other gift, as Serenity smiles. Within minutes, he comes back in, as he has stroller and car seat combos for the twins. Serenity, and Avery smile seeing them.
Avery: Those will come handy.
Serenity looks to the next gifts, as they are from Tone, and Keiji. She starts opening them, to see they are more clothes. It was a Raiders onesie, one in blue and one in pink. There were bibs inside of the gift as well. Serenity holds them up, showing each one, as they had some bears on them. Serenity laughs looking at them.
Serenity: Well I can guess who picked these out, my wing eating buddy Keiji.
Keiji and Tone enters back into the living room.
Tone: Yeah. More bears. Awesome.
Keiji laughs as Tone leans his head onto the arm of Keiji. Stacy hands over their gifts, as Serenity starts opening them. Again it was more clothes. Some that had Princess of Pain on them, some Melina Wilson ones, along with Diamond Princess, AB, and a AM4 one. All of them representing Serenity’s family, and Robbie’s family. Serenity looks at Avery, as hands over the AM4 one.
Serenity: I think someone is hinting at the next generation.
Stacy: It will be in there blood, so why not.
Avery: Thanks Stacy. And-
Serenity leans over and whispers into his ear.
Avery: And Robbie.
Annabelle: Serenity. Opens this. It is from Sawyer and me.
She smiles as Serenity looks up to Sawyer still lurking towards the back of the room. He nods. Serenity opens the box. It was two wine bottles, two wine glasses, and two tickets to a local spa.
Annabelle: For after the baby is born. Sawyer and I will babysit, and you and Ave can head out for a relaxing day.
Serenity: Thank you Anna, that works well. A co-worker of Avery’s also got us spa day passes too, so we will be well taken care of. You guys also got the cribs for us so thank you.
She smiles as she looks towards Avery’s parents.
Serenity: One gift left, the grandparents gifts.
Avery brings the big box over to Serenity.
Joe: Open it together, you two.
His wife, Katherine, looks on. They unwrap it and open the box.
Avery: Wow. Really?
Avery pulls the first one out, and it is a child's wooden rocking chair.
Avery: And there is two of them.
He looks in the box.
Serenity: Thank you so much mom and dad!
Serenity smiles, as she is looking at them. The other guests are looking at all the gifts, while listening to them.
Annabelle: So… not to step on toes. But we do sort of have an announcement, too.
Avery: Oh?
Annabelle nods her head yes, as she looks at Sawyer.
Annabelle: You two knows we have been trying to get pregnant for a little while…
Serenity nods her head, as she smiles wide, realizing what Annabelle maybe getting at.
Annabelle: We just found out we’re pregnant. We’re going to have kids growing up together like Avery, and myself did.
Avery throws his arms around Annabelle and hugs her.
Avery: No way. Wow. Amazing! Congrats you two.
Sawyer smiles, he was a man of little emotion but Avery knew he was happy. There is a knock at the door.
Avery: Let me grab that.
Avery heads towards the front door and opens it.
Avery: Hey. We’ve been expecting you two. Everyone is inside already. Come on in.
Male Voice: Sorry we are late, Ave.
Avery: Better late then never.
