******* ON CAMERA *******
Carter Strong stands on the middle turnbuckle of one of the NGW training rings, a couple of crash pads gathered beneath him. The place was practically deserted now, which allowed him to practice things he wasn't quite comfortable trying in front of people yet. Iphy had been there earlier and they'd gone over a few double team moves and strategy for their tag match, but now he was all alone and able to dive off the rope with a senton that shook the ring and all but flattened the crash pads. He looked up and noticed his go pro was still attached to the other corner and recording. He sighed slightly, then shrugged his massive shoulders and stood up. He went over to the go pro and made sure it was getting audio as well.
"Okay, so I wasn't planning on anyone seeing me practice that, but well special treat for my fans. I think I have a few of them. I hope that I have some fans."
Carter looks at the camera and shrugs once more, then he gets a bit more serious.
"I will say, I hope Melina Wilson and Ryuji Takahashi saw that. Not because I want to scare them or anything, but because I want them to know how seriously I am taking this match. This is my first tag match here in West Coast Genesis, and I am lucky enough to get to team with one of my Lords of The Ring team mates, Iphigenia Madrapdes. I know we got knocked out of that tournament early and we don't have much experience team with each other, but we've been in the ring together twice now. Once as opponents, once as partners, so I know just how tough and talented Iphy is. I also know what a great team we can be. We can be a better duo than chocolate and peanut butter, and those two had a jingle to say how great they were together. Saturday night, we are going to be a well oiled machine and I will not hesitate this time, even if I am fighting a friend. I know how good Melina and Ryuji are, and if I do hesitate, well it might just end the same way as last time I hesitated against a friend."
Carter shakes his head no, thinking back on his loss to Iphy. He turns, walks over to the crash pads, and flips over one that has a bright yellow X in tape on it. He places it down, then goes back to the ropes and slowly climbs up to the very top. Carter steadies himself stands straight up, then jumps off the top rope. In mid air, he turns slightly and extends his arm out in position for an elbow drop. He crashes straight down on the pads, driving his elbow right in to the X. He looks down at the pad for a few seconds, staring at his elbow planted firmly in to the right spot.
"Yes, finally landed it just right. I knew the sixteenth attempt would be the winner."
Carter pumps his fist, celebrating for a bit as he seems confident and ecstatic to add the move to his arsenal. He looks up to the top rope and heads back up as the camera slowly turns off.
