Austen: The third wheel. The odd man out. The extra guy hanging out.
Austen Blackwell was sitting at some little Tiki Bar with a pair of white trimmed sunglasses, a button up shirt that was wide open, and some board shorts.
Austen: A lot has happened over the last few weeks. And I have been fairly quiet. I know that I need to focus on my opponents at Unscripted this weekend and I will make sure to do so. But first? Jimmy Pagan. We are far from being done. Whether you are James Pridmore, Nite Stalker, or Jimmy Pagan… you and I have a date with destiny. It is one thing making a mockery of your own relationship and ex-girlfriend, but you made a fool of me. And that is not going to fly. For now, you go ahead and think that you are fine and dandy. In time? You will get what is coming to you. This is not a threat. Nor is it a promise. It is what it is. It is the future. And in the future, you and I will settle the score fairly inside of the ring.
Austen looks into the camera with a serious demeanor.
Austen: And as far as this match goes. I respect both of my opponents inside of the ring. Both are going to give a great challenge. Shawn Young is a former Long Beach Champion. And JD Ryan has what it takes to be one. For me? This is a chance to put some distance between myself and what happened at Escalation. It is time to look forward, and to get the ball rolling with a win. A win in the right direction, and time for me to earn myself a shot at the Long Beach Championship. I have been around here for a long time, and I need to focus on improving myself. I have seen people come and go, riding the waves of success. I am not a jealous man, nor am I going to wish I had what they had. I simply want to be better, and earn what I feel like I should have. And that is the Long Beach Championship. For now, I will enjoy the last little bit of my honeymoon in Jamaica with my beautiful wife. See you all Saturday.
