Jack Tillman: “I’m sorry…..”
-It’s something you wouldn’t think you’d ever hear Jack Tillman say as the scene begins. Standing in front of the camera, Jack Tillman has a look of sorrow and concern on his face as he blankly stares into the camera. Dressed in his work out cloths, Jack seems to be standing in a locker room as he continues to talk.
Jack Tillman: “I’m sorry Matt Shields for pinning you. It wasn’t personal man. It was business. A business that we both love and a business that we both know is a cut throat. Opportunities like the one we were in don’t come around to often. If you want to get a shot at anything, you have to attack first and ask questions later. It just sucked that it had to be you that got the pin. It’s not like I wanted to pin you. It was just one of those heat of the moment situations. It was a long night with multiple matches under my belt and by the end I was going only by instinct. Anyone that was in my way was a target. And you know how I get when I get I’m focused like that. You understand right?”
Jack looks for a response. He sort of begs for one as he looks into the camera, hoping to get something. But he doesn’t. Jack places his hands on his hips as he glances at the floor.
Jack Tillman: “I get it man. I really do. But if the roles were reversed and you were the one to pin me, I’d understand. I’d truly would. I mean as long as a Destroyer wins I’d be happy. But you’re a proudfull man. You were the face of this company for such a long time. You’d give anything and everything just to have that NGW Title again. And you’ll get there man. We’ll do it together. Along with Kayla. We’ll beat down anyone and everyone that gets in our way. We’ve done it before and we’ll do it again. But we just need to break the tension, that I feel like we have, and make amends. We’re still the Tag Team Champions and as a team I need to know that you still have my back….. and what happened last week isn’t an issue. Because you know I still have your back and I’m still proud to call you a friend.”
Jack slowly extends his hand out, hoping to receive a handshake.
Jack Tillman: “So what do you say Matt? We good?”
The camera zooms around behind Jack to show that he’s been talking in front of a mirror the whole time. Placing his hands on his hip, Jack looks down with doubt in his voice as he talks to himself.
Jack Tillman: “That sounded alright, right? He’d understand if I said that.”
Jack places his hands behind his head and takes a deep breath as he replays the scenario in his head again.
Jack Tillman: “I don’t know any more.”
