March 17, 2018. Redondo Beach, CA
Jason and Alicia Perry are setting up a highly decorated table on the shore of Redondo Beach. With them is a rather attractive redhead dressed relatively formally compared to the other two. This woman is Kate O'Culhainn, Kimo's fiance from Dublin. She is helping them prepare the area for a handfasting, an ancient Celtic ceremony used for betrothals and weddings.
The table they are setting up is the altar that will be used in the ceremony. Which oddly enough, save for the covering and few cushions, is only decorated on one side with the statue of Áine, an ancient Irish goddess.
Jason: Where the hell is he?
Kate: He said he had to go pick some things up.
Alicia: Well he better get here quick, or everyone's going to start showing up to a half decorated altar.
Jason: Just got a text. He's pulling up right now.
A black Range Rover pulls up to a parking area and along with Kimo, a man dressed in the Habit of a Zen Buddhist Priest gets out from the passenger side door. Kimo goes to the trunk and pulls out a medium sized wooden box. As the Wind blows towards the shore, the trio picked up the faint smell of incense coming from his car.
Kimo: Sorry that took so long.
Kate: It's about time you showed up. Beginning to think ya got cold feet.
Kimo: Are you kidding me I'd never be late for something like this.
Jason: So, what's with the monk?
Kimo: He's one of the officiants.
Jason: Wait...you're a Buddhist?!
Kimo: Yeah.
Jason: Since when?
Kimo: Junior year of high school.
Jason: How come I never knew this?
Kimo: Well after what went down in our family when Alicia came out as Pagan, I decided to play this close to the chest. Aside from Kate and Alicia, very few people in my family know about this. Until i'm ready, I would prefer it if you guys kept this on the DL when around my folks.
Jason: Keep what on the DL? *wink*
Kimo: I see what you did there.
Jason: Yeah I remember her telling me about that, so I understand where you're coming from.
Kate: And my family's Catholic, they don't know that I'm Pagan too.
Kimo: Besides this ceremony is only for friends anyway.
Kate: But it's the one that will count for us.
Alicia: Couldn't agree more. Now come on. This isn't the place for family drama, we need to get you two married. I am, after all, the other officiant.
Jason: She's right lets finish this up and get started.

Forest Lawn Cemetery, Covina Hills, CA
We see a black range rover pull up to a hillside area marked with several graves. Kimo and his new wife, (at least in their eyes) get out of the car, Kimo holding a plastic grocery bag, Kate with the more traditional boquets of flowers. As they walk up the hill, Kimo points in the dorection they need to go. The newlyweds then fimd themselves standing in front of two bronze plaques embedded in the ground marking the graves of Kimo's father and grandfather.
Kimo: Sorry it's been so long, dad, grandpa.
Kate lays the flowers on the two graves as she does, Kimo reaches into the grocery bag and first pulls out the latest edition of Auto Trader to lay on his father's marker, and a horse racing forum to lay on that of his grandfather. He reaches back into the bag and pulls out two cans of coke, cracks them open and lays one each on both graves. He pulls out two more, hands one to Kate, who promptly opens it and takes a swig, Kimo does the same.
Kimo: So, a lot has happened, you're a grandpa now, Nick and Jenny have two little girls. Oh and this is Kate, that's right, I got married again.
Kate: And your boy's in good hands. I know I am.
Kimo smiles at her and Kisses her forehead.
Kimo: Well, in more recent news. I'm wrestling again. I even have a match tomorrow night. Carter Strong, my opponent, is one of the biggest guys I've seen, but I've seen some of the guys you fought. You went up against guys that were as big as the guy I'm facing if not bigger and you took 'em down like they were nothing. After seeing that, it's hard to believe you died the way you did. Despite that it gave me a few ideas as to how to deal with him, so thanks. I have no beef with the guy, but I remember what you said before my first fight in MMA, "Anyone standing across from you in a fight is nothing more than an obstacle." Despite our differences when you were around, It's good to know you're always gonna be in my corner, dad. Now I gotta go, it's your granddaughter's birthday today and we're all going to dinner.
Kate: I'll be waiting in the car, hun.
As she walks away, the camera focuses in Kimo as he turns to send his final message to his opponent.
Kimo: Don't let me letting you see this side of me make you assume that I'm just going to be a doormat, Carter. I have every intention to bring 100% when we step between those ropes. I just hope your just as prepared as I am because like you, I will do what i have to to win. Now the respect between us is mutual, just to get that out of the way. But all you have is brute force. I fought like that myself for a time, hulking out and relying solely on power to win. But over the years, I learned to focus. If I had anything to compare the two of us I'd say you are a war hammer, causing indescriminate destruction with each swing, whereas I am a Claymore, still powerful but far more refined, only causing damage where I need to cause it. Now again don't get me wrong the respect is there but between the two of us, I know I'm the better fighter. You, you're just in my way.
