******* ON CAMERA *******
It's a very bright sunny day as Carter Strong strolls through what looks like a small amusement park. He has his phone out recording him as he walks around the place with a massive smile on his face. He stops and turns the camera to himself, the smile still plastered across his face.
"Hi folks. I'm still getting a little used to this whole talking on the camera thing, so I figured I would just do more of it and then post up whatever turns out good."
Carter gives a nod of his head and puts his thumb up.
"So I decided to come on down to San Jose a few days early. Get situated and ready for what I am sure will be a hard fought match on Saturday night. I got in a great workout earlier this morning, so I decided to treat myself a little bit and come to the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo. This place is neat and at eleven on a Thursday, there's not a lot of people here. It's been lots of fun so far. I saw a couple of lemurs, a zebu, a jaguar, and a bunch of meerkats. I was hoping one of the meerkats would be best friends with a warthog and a lion, but no such luck."
Carter feigns a look of disappointment and even gives an exagerated 'aw shucks' arm swing.
"Normally at zoo's, my favorite place to go is the gorilla habitat, but unfortunately, no gorillas here. Oh and since I just know that either Chris Marks or Juliana DiMaria would make some comment like this, I don't like the gorilla's because it's like seeing my family. Those two are so mean and awful and rude and angry. Maybe they're perfect for each other and that could be what finally makes them happy. Or it could be the worst thing ever and the World would curse the day that unholy union came to be."
Carter looks at the camera and just shrugs a bit before he turns around slightly.
"Back to original point, no gorilla here today, but they do have..."
Carter moves the phone so it's looking over his shoulder at a monkey habitat.
"MONKEYS!"
Carter keeps his phone focused on the small monkeys as they run and jump around their specialized habitat. He brings the phone back to himself after about twenty seconds and smiles.
"Monkeys are pretty awesome. I do wish there were some gorillas though. I feel like they're a good representation of this match I have coming up with Kimo. Yes, the physical similarities are obvious people. Large, strong, and that's about it because neither one of us are super hairy and we definitely don't drag our knuckles when we walk. It's more than just a physical thing though. I've always liked animals and gorillas have a fascinating... culture I guess you would call it. As it is with a lot of animals, there's always an alpha. The biggest, the strongest, the best hunter, the one that everyone looks to and follows. That's basically what myself and Kimo are looking to do on Saturday night. Like he said, myself, him, and Donovan Basch are the three biggest people in this company. Donovan has proven himself as a top dog, so now it's time for me and Kimo to do the same. When Kimo made that challenge, he might as well have looked me in the eyes and just beat his chest. It would mean the exact same thing. He wants to show that while I may be bigger, he is stronger. He wants to show that he's better than me. He wants the chance to show that he's the best big man in West Coast Genesis."
Carter takes a deep breath as the smile on his face fades away a bit. He walks over to a small picnic area and sits down.
"Now Kimo, I respect you. I want to say that before I say anything else. It is important to me that you know that I respect you. Because Saturday, I'm gonna go out to that ring and punch you as hard as I can. I'm gonna kick you in the face, I'm gonna slam you down on that mat, and I am going to do what I have to do to win. At Hype, I hesitated a bit and I have no doubt that it cost me. Not saying that is the reason why Iphy won at all, but it's hard to not wonder if things would have been different had I remembered that once the bell rings, the person across the ring is an opponent first and anything else second. you laid out the challenge to me Kimo. You came up to me and said that you want to be the alpha, you want to be the big man around here. I accepted that challenge because I want to do the same thing. I want to show that as nice as I am outside that ring, inside of it, I should be feared. I am the biggest man that West Coast Genesis has ever seen. I may be the biggest man that New Generation Wrestling has ever seen as well. With that, comes a lot of expectations. Some of them I want to ignore because they're stupid big man stereotypes, but the big ones, the one where I run through competitors, the one where I rise up the rankings, the one where I become a champion, I definitely intend to live up to those expectations. That all starts with a win against you Kimo. As I said earlier, I know it will be a hard fought match. I fully expect your very best, and I promise that's what you're gonna get from me. End of the day though, there can only be one alpha gorilla."
Carter nods his head and smiles as he sits his phone against something on the nearby table. He looks right at the camera, gives a slight smirk and pounds his fist against his chest. After a few hits to his own chest, he makes a gorilla like noise, then ends the recording.
