London, England
The land of regality and punk rock. London will be home to the climax of NGW’s European tour, as Legacy: Battle for London grows closer by the minute. The show was chock full of main event level matches, with debuts, title matches, and grudge matches. One match in particular was sure to be a slugfest. Billy Danielson versus Al Envy, for the final time in New Generation Wrestling, has proven to be more than just your basic rivalry.
Months have gone into this feud, as both men have filled it with hate and violence. Then, at the most recent Dissension, it was decided that this would be the final time they meet in this company, as Amber Richards and Devlin Scott have gotten tired of the attacks and rundowns of two of their star wrestlers. However, if this match was going to end a war, there was not going to be any questions on who was the true winner. Amber Richards, in a show of brilliance, made this match an unsanctioned, no holds barred match. Billy and Al can do whatever they wanted to each other, as long as there was a pin fall or a submission.
Preparing for that war, we open to Billy Danielson in his elegant hotel room. He stood, staring into the mirror across the room. His face was stoic and violent, as he stared on. There was no room for a smirk this time, as his face was filled with disdain for his enemy, Al Envy. His blood boiled, just thinking of that ‘man’ (used very VERY loosley), whom he will be tearing into come tomorrow night. He looks at the camera from the mirror as he begins to talk.
“You know something is genuinely intense, when you can honestly you hate someone without having any form of hyperbole or exaggeration. Not the kind of hate you say when someone mildly inconvenienced you. No, no, no. This is the kind of hate, when you literally cannot stop yourself from punching their face in. It’s the kind of hate, when you see them tweet, you get unrealistically upset, because just knowing that they still exist pisses you off. That is the kind of hate that isn’t taken lightly, because that is the kind of hate that becomes all consuming.
That’s the kind of hate I have for Al Envy.”
He pauses, the way he describes his hatred for Al Envy seems so casual. He continues on.
“It’s sad too, because before all of this, I used to respect him. He was like a big brother to Scotty and I, and after he turned the group Scotty and I worked so hard to create, all of that went out the window. Part of me still wants to respect him. Part of me still wants to believe that Alan Envy isn’t the total plague he has become, but after everything he has done to me, to my friends, I just can’t hold that respect for him any longer.
Especially now that I’ve competed against him. From driving my groin into a ring post to get a cheap win, to sabotaging our match because he couldn’t bare the idea that I am better than him. Constantly saying ‘this is the time’, has gotten tiresome. Honestly, I’m looking forward to this being the end. I’m looking forward to finally ending this all, and leaving Al Envy on the floor, and simultaneously in my rearview. I cannot wait to finally get my retribution, because this obsession with Al Envy has got to stop. It has to come to an end at Legacy: Battle for London, because I don’t know where else to go from here.”
He begins to pace back and forth, looking at his hands. You can see the toll this feud has had on him. He puts his hands in his hair, and takes a deep breath.
“Every time I think I’m making steps forward in this company, Al Envy is standing there trying to cost me it. Everytime I make a comment, he has to reply. Everytime I walk in for work, Devlin Scott and Amber Richards have to threaten me not to get involved with him, because they know I will stop at nothing to make him pay and get my retribution. It has been my purpose for the past few months. This war as been my only mission, and tomorrow night, when I beat him, it all ends for good.”
He sits down on a chair in the corner, and looks directly into the camera. His face is still so serious, but you can tell he might be easing up soon.
“Tomorrow night, there is going to be a fight in London. There will be no real wrestling about it, just fighting. Lots and lots of fighting. I’m going to beat Al Envy so bad, that it looks like a religious flagellation session. I’m going to show Al Envy that he really is the overrated egomaniac that everyone says he is, because this is the only way I can get back on my path to the top of this company. Ending this feud is the only way I will get to the NGW or Five Lakes titles, and by doing so, I can finally break that glass ceiling that has been cursing my career here since signing with NGW.”
Finally, Billy Danielson smirks his trademark smirk.
“I am ready for this to end. I am ready for a new tomorrow, for the new generation of wrestling. Most importantly, I am ready to give you that comeuppance that you’ve been running from since the new year. I’m going to be the beginning of the end for you in NGW, Alan Envy. When I come out on top, the entire wrestling industry will know that Al Envy is no longer the #TopGuy he pretends to be on Twitter.
After tonight, I am going to be turning a new leaf, and for anyone holding a title in this company, I’m sorry…
Because things…
Are about to get…
GREAT (for me)!!!"
He smirks one last time, as the scene fades to black.
