Friday 3/30/2018
Avery is standing in a baby clothing store, Pure Baby Ltd. He was killing some time the day before Battle for London as he was alone. Daisy was with RC; Damon with Aurora. Who knows what Alex was doing. It was something easy to kill the time, and he knew that Serenity would appreciate him getting the twins something. Avery would browse around the store, and found a couple of cute one piece jumpers for the babies; a blue one and a pink one. Each had a United Kingdom flag on them.
Lady: Do you have little ones?
Avery turns towards her, an older female that looked like anyone’s British Grandma.
Avery: Two, on the way.
Lady: Excellent. It is never too early to buy up things for the first year. They do grow up fast you know.
Avery laughs.
Avery: Between friends, family, co-workers and the godparents we have tons; but I was hoping to get something for them to have as a memory of me being here in London.
Lady: And your wife?
Avery: She is back at home in the States. Lots of flying for work, she is about two and a month out from being due so we are taking it easy.
Lady: For the best.
Avery: I’d love to get both of those.
Lady: We do embroider names too.
Avery: Really? That would be amazing. For the blue one, AJ. And for the pink one, Journey.

Back in the States, Serenity was at home, as she was folding some of the baby clothes they already had. She had just washed some of them, while his mom was in the kitchen cooking. She was helping Serenity out a lot while Avery was gone. Serenity smiles, as she goes to get up, but is soon stopped.
Katherine: What do you think you are doing? You need to relax. Put your feet up.
Serenity laughs.
Serenity: Mom, you are not going to let me do anything are you?
Katherine: No need for you to with me here. Besides you are at least folding the clothes, getting them ready to be put away.
Serenity looks at the clothes, as she laughs.
Serenity: I’m bored of doing that, plus I miss Avery.
Katherine: You might, but think of it like this, the sooner you get this all done, the more time you can spend with him when he is back home, and less time you have to worry about it.
Serenity sighs, as she sits back down picking up some of the clothes.
Serenity: Alright… I’ll finish folding them. What are you cooking though? It smells good.
Katherine smiles.
Katherine: Now, now it’s a surprise.
Katherine heads back into the kitchen, as she starts cooking some more, while Serenity starts folding clothes again.

Saturday 3/31/2018
Back in London, Avery sits down for a lunch at a small pub. He orders himself some fish and chips, trying to take it easy on his stomach the day before the match. He missed Serenity, but he did not want to bother. London was five hours ahead and she may be awake eating breakfast. He would call her when he got back to the hotel.
He sat at the bar as he ordered a pint for good measure. Looking up to the wall mounted television, there was some soccer game on. Well, “football” he laughed to himself.
Bartender: American?
Avery: That noticeable?
Bartender: Working this job, it can be. You here for holiday?
Avery: Work.
Bartender: Excellent. You need anything, speak up.
Avery: Thanks.
He pauses.
Avery: Well… could you tell me who is even playing? I am out of my element here.
Bartender: Manchester United and Swansea.
Avery: Manchester. I’ve heard of that before.
Bartender: Anything else you need, say so. I got some blokes to talk to.
Avery nods and sips from his glass as he tried to figure out what the hell he was watching. He missed home, and would much rather be watching Opening Day weekend baseball as he pulled out his phone and looked at a picture of him and Serenity as he thought about her.

Serenity was awake, as she was downstairs, making herself a bowl of cereal. She wasn’t really hungry for anything else. She never really was when he was away. She wasn’t sure who was to come and stay with her that day, or would even stop by. She sighs softly, as she looks down at her cereal, pushing it away. Before she could do anything, she hears the door open, as she knew someone was there. She looks towards the kitchen door, as their friend Annabelle, walks in. She smiles at Serenity.
Annabelle Why aren’t you eating?
Serenity: Not hungry…
Annabelle Come on Serenity, you need to eat. You know Avery wouldn’t want you to skip any meals.
Serenity sighs, as she nods her head.
Serenity: I know… I just miss him. Ready for him to be home already. Wish I could call him, but sure he is doing something like press, and can’t talk.
Annabelle You never know, if you feel that way, maybe try later, like an hour or so. I am sure he will want to talk to you, and misses you just as much. Now eat up, otherwise I am going to tell him you’re not eating.
Serenity: Alright, I’m eating.
She goes to start eating, as she looks at Annabelle. Before another word can be said, a knock is at the door, as Annabelle goes to answer it.

Saturday 3/31/2018 - Night
Avery got back to his hotel room after dinner and some press. He was able to send a few messages to Serenity after his lunch but they hadn’t gotten time to actually talk. He gets settled in his room as he sets up the bed with a pillow behind his back, grabs his phone, and video calls to Serenity. Her phone rings showing it was a video call. She answers it quickly, as she smiles, knowing it was Avery.
Serenity: BABY!!!!
She was in better mood now, as she looks towards her phone so he could see her.
Avery: Hey angel, how’s my girl doing? And the twins?
He smiles, the day got immediately better seeing her.
Serenity: I’m doing better now. Your mom’s been by, Annie, and few others. They all have been keeping me company. Tone, and Keiji even. The twins are moving, kicking away missing Daddy. What about you?
Avery smiles.
Avery: Good. Just had some press. Did some local interviews. Had a local signing. Checked out the venue. It is crazy; these fans are nuts. Great fans. I… I wish you could be here.
He knew he had to be strong for her.
Avery: You been eating good?
Serenity: I wish I was there too, but can’t…
She looks down, before shrugging.
Serenity: Yeah your mom, and Annie have been making sure I eat. They are kinda being like mother hens… half expect them to start running around making chicken noises.
She laughs some. Avery joins in the laughing.
Avery: I love you, baby. I will be flying out early Monday morning. It’s a nine and a half hour flight so it will be sometime during the day on Monday. I hope I will be bringing along the NGW title.
He blows her a kiss.
Serenity: Yeah, whenever you get here, we will be celebrating our first Easter together, even if a day late. I hope you are bringing the title home, it will be great to see around your waist.
She smiles, as she blows him a kiss.
Serenity: I love you too Devil.
Avery: I have been up all day, and I am exhausted. I am going to try to get some sleep. But I miss you lots and lots.
He wrinkles his mouth.
Avery: I love you. Sleep well. And I will be dreaming of you. Always.
He knew the calls was short, but he also had to be well rested for tomorrow.
Serenity: I miss you more baby. I know, you need sleep…
She looks down for a few seconds before at him.
Serenity: You sleep well also babe, dream of the twins and me. I love you too.
The two of them just look at each other for a few seconds before Avery realizes that he needs to end the call, as she would not. He blows her another kiss and she catches it, as the video chat ends.
