Ronnie North- RN+DR 4EVER

“You do realize I’m only here looking after you because Joshua babysits for Xaria so often, correct? That, in essence, since your best friend and his wife have left for a honeymoon they have tasked me with ‘babysitting’ you because you are essentially an inept child.” Martin says, rubbing his temple.

“I understand all of that except for who Xaria or you are and what ‘inept’ means.” Ronnie responds.

“That’s probably for the best.” Martin says, keeping in mind that if Ronnie remembered who he was he’d remember that a vicious beating from Martin was the cause of his memory loss.

“Look, I’m a grown man. I know I took a bad bump on the head or whatever…” Ronnie says.

“…or whatever, indeed…” Martin says under his breath.

“…but I’m still an adult man and I deserve to be treated as such.” Ronnie says.

“I wholeheartedly agree. It’s 3 o’clock, did you want a juice box?” Martin asks.

“I don’t need to have a juice box.” Ronnie says. Martin says nothing.

“But it would be nice to have one.” Ronnie adds. Martin says nothing.

“But you don’t have to get it. I can get it myself. I’m a grown man.” Ronnie says. Martin says nothing.

“…but I mean. You are closer.” Ronnie says. Martin sighs audibly and hands Ronnie a juice box.

“According to the schedule Joshua and Kaylee left, after the Juice box I need to help you record your promo. That’s why the camera is already recording.” Martin says, gesturing to the camera. Ronnie looks at the camera and is immediately self-conscious. He found it strange that so many of his ‘friends’ in this life that he was struggling to remember were filming themselves so often.

“And then we can watch MacGyver?” Ronnie asks.

“I...suppose we could.” Martin says, questioning every decision he had made in his life that had led him to this point.

“Is there anything I should know about my opponent?” Ronnie asks. Martin knew quite a bit about Daisy but he was keeping the important bits to himself.

“The two of you actually have a long history. The Radicalliance and Chaos Love have a history of respect but feuded over the tag titles. You and Daisy most CERTAINLY have a history but it’s probably best we not go into that” Martin says, referencing Daisy once becoming quite angry that Ronnie repeatedly voiced the opinion that Daisy had a crush on him.

“History? What kind of history? What are you not telling me?” Ronnie asks. There is a long moment of silence as an idea forms in Martins head. He ponders this idea. If he were to act on this idea it would potentially be the most cruel thing he had ever done. Crueler than the crucifixion of his former mentor Johnny Maverick on the order of his father Daniel. Crueler than the vicious assault that lead to Ronnie losing his memories in the first place.

“Oh it’s probably for the best that chapter remain closed…the two of you have been through enough.” Martin says.

“No no, I deserve to know.” Ronnie says, folding his arms.

“I suppose it would be unfair to not tell you considering your condition… You may have noticed that Daisy Rose is married to RC Tucker but has refused to take her husband’s last name. The truth of the matter is that her marriage to RC is one of station. An arranged marriage. The truth is that Daisy Rose is madly and desperately in love with you, Ronald. She has to keep up the illusion of her relationship with RC and thusly she will act as if she is disgusted with you in response to your advances but are you the kind of man to let a tyrant take away the love of your life?” Martin asks. Ronnie springs up and defiantly throws his empty juice box on the ground and tears off his ‘Alf’ T-shirt.

“Is...is that a yes or a no?” Martin asks.

“That’s a hell no!” Ronnie says, throwing aside the torn t-shirt and turning to the camera as in the background Martin starts to clean up the small mess Ronnie had made.

“Listen up world! You may want me to fight the love of my life and I will do so because it’s apparently my job and I need to pay for an apartment in New York and that’s CRAZY expensive but after I beat her and take her title she will NOT have time to be sad about it because we will finally be together!” Ronnie says. Martin stands up from picking the torn bits of the t-shirt and is spotted behind Ronnie. His mouth broadens into a wicked smile as he looks at the camera. At Daisy.

“Now that I know the truth thanks to my good friend Marvin here…” Ronnie says.

“Martin.” Martin says, correcting him.

“Melvin told me everything and Daisy? I am coming for you and we are going to live happily ever after once I beat you! We will ride off into the French-“ Ronnie says.

“Irish.” Martin corrects.

“IRISH Countryside where we will do romantic stuff like… I dunno kiss and hug and stuff.” Ronnie says. Martin had forgotten that this Ronnie’s memory had been reset to before he had lost his virginity.

“One thing is for sure, you and I? Our love is REAL and UNDYING and PASSIONATE and the two of us are going to be HAPPY TOGETHER FOREVER! Ronnie and Daisy forever! The formerly star-crossed lovers together forever.” Ronnie says with great enthusiasm, having apparently bought into Martins story entirely.

The camera fades to black.

It opens up again on a later moment with  Martin sitting on the couch and Ronnie seated on the floor as the ending credits theme of ‘MacGyver’ plays. There is a long moment of silence.

“Alright… This show is incredible.” Martin is forced to admit.

“Told you!” Ronnie says, he turns and lifts his arm up for a high-five but Martin simply shakes his head in response and Ronnie lowers his arm slowly before we fade out once again, for real this time.
