Sitting on the beach as the sun rises over the water, Kaylee Kassie sits on a lounge chair in Tahiti. It was her honeymoon as she had just married Joshua Goldstein, better known as The Jew Blazer. She was a week out from the final episode of Dissension before Legacy: Battle for London. Sitting in a two-piece bikini as she sipped some sort of smoothie, Kaylee was facing off against Scotty Latimer for the Young Lions Championship. She had returned to wrestle alongside Josh and Ronnie to form Radicalliance 2.0 in hopes of achieving tag team gold, but she was not one to turn down a singles title shot. She reaches for her glass, taking a sip, and then begins to speak.
“Scotty Latimer. A former Horseman, or whatever. Tag teaming with Billy. Dating Ruby. And being the man to follow up Coda with the Young Lions Championship. This is the man that I face. The same man that thinks he is a nice guy. A nice guy that talks about how people are bitter. And is more into himself than most. Who am I to judge? Oh wait… I am here to do just that.”
She leans over and grabs her glass, drinking some more of her smoothie.
“Scotty freaking Latimer. You and I have not crossed paths, but I do know that you are a man of many facets. A man that wrestles in a few companies, spreading his wings. A man that has to carry the torch that Coda left after she lost and tucked tail. A man that has been demanding to defend that very title. Well? Here I am. I’ve tried to do a little background on you and the sort of guy you are. Looking through your Twitter, it is apparent that NGW is not a large part of your focus. It seems like you have better things to do in other places, or to talk about a haircut. But most importantly, you have been going on and on about being a stand up sort of guy. You want to be edgy and call people out. And the fans cheer for you. Just because fans cheer for you does not mean you are a good guy, Scotty. This is 2018, yes. You are free to do as you see fit. But the moment that you begin to think you are a good guy and talk shit like you do? You can claim to be whatever you want. But there is one word I have for you. Douche. It’s funny as I have no clue what anyone sees in you or that they buy into this entire shitty persona. You seem faker than fake, and this is coming from someone who does not even use their real name inside of the ring. Having been familiar with Ruby because of West Coast Genesis, she is someone that you see exactly what you get. And with you? Nice guy good looks covers up a snake-like sensibility. I know better than to take any kind words you MIGHT say at face value. I am sure that you have your reasons to be the way you are, but I don’t trust you. I don’t like you. And I think you are dishonest to who you really are. If Ruby wants to play dumb to your nice guy schtick, kudos to her. But I know better when I get into the ring with you. I won’t be shaking your hand before or after the match starts… I am edgy like that.”
She smirks as she reaches for a pair of sunglasses as the sun lifts itself high up into the sky. Her husband was still asleep after a long, long night of… well, we all know. Kaylee breathes in deep and exhales, as she was far from the reality of anywhere else in the world. She was on her honeymoon, relaxing, and enjoying the moment. She knew that a hard match was days ahead of her, and it was going to take everything she had to beat a true competitor.
“I am not going to front and say that you are a shit wrestler. You aren’t. I can respect your skills. You are just a shit person. With a shit personality. And a shitty grin that I don’t like. I would love to smack that grin off of your faces, and carry a title that fell into your hands as Coda decided to pack her things before her loss. I mean, she did not even stick around for a rematch for a title? And she left her Destroyer “family’ behind? She checked out mentally man. And she is over in Oz teaming with Little Miss Sunshine forming the 2018 version of the J.O.B. Squad.”
She lowers her sunglasses and smirks into the camera.
“Say what you have to say Scotty. No one is going to believe any of the words that come out of your mouth anyways. And say what you want about me. You are more successful. You’d have more titles. Yadda yadda. Just bring your A game, Latimer. I am not going to be a pushover, and I will do what it takes to win. Unlike you, I am not so nice. I know that sometimes a corner needs to be cut or a referee needs to look the other way. I am who I am, no matter which name you call me. Kaylee Kassie. Cassandra Myers. Cassandra Goldstein. I am still the same bitch I’ve always been. And I prefer it no other way. With me, you know what you are getting. I am face value. I have no reason to show you one thing while I say another. I guess I just prefer things that way.”
She pauses as she finishes off her smoothie.
“See you soon, Scotty.”
She looks off camera.
“Hey bartender, I need a refill.”
Stepping into the camera was her husband, Josh Goldstein. He was sporting a Hawaiian shirt and a pair of sunglasses, very Tom Cruise in Cocktail. He pours her glass full of a smoothie as she runs her finger up his side, the video coming to an end.
