We fade in on the dressing room of Danielle Basch, who is in the final stages of preparing for her match against Sela-Rica Lark. She is dressed in blue and black, and wrapping black athletic tape around her wrists and hands.
Danielle: You are so full of shit, Sela...
She tears the tape off of the roll, then flattens the torn end against her wrist.
Danielle: You want to call yourself the painbringer... honey, the only pain you bring is from the screeching that violates everyone’s eardrums every time you open your mouth, you stupid little harpy. But no matter... I will be more than happy to shut that annoying trap you call a mouth when we face off.
You are going to learn the hard way that your attitude is only going to get you so far, and that you are in WAY over your head. By the time I’m finished with you, the last thing on your mind will be “playtime”. Instead, you’ll be wondering how you’re going to get the blood stains out of your clothes. And I can guarantee you that the blood that you see streaking your skin, which clearly hasn’t seen much sunlight in who knows how long, won’t be mine, but your own. I’m going to knock the delusions of grandeur from your empty little head, Sela, and when the smoke clears, you’re going to be making that walk of shame to the back... with yet ANOTHER loss on your record.
She chuckles as she shakes her head.
Danielle: I’m normally not the type to wish ill on another, but Karma is looking to dish out some major payback, and YOU, little girl, are at the top of her shit list. Me? I’m just Karma’s instrument, sent to teach you to remember where your place is.
She stands up, tossing the roll of athletic tape into her gear bag, then heads for the door of her dressing room.
Danielle: Oh, and by the way, you clearly need your eyes checked, because despite your cowardly attack at Ascension, I still walked out of the arena on my own accord. Yeah, I had a bit of a knot on the back of my head, but a stretcher? That’s pushing it. But don’t worry... Just like at Ascension, I’ll be walking up that ramp with the victory, while you get pushed aside.
Seriously, Sela... it’s been fun. Really it has. But I’m afraid that when it comes to the two of us, “Playtime” is over. [/color]
She opens the door that leads out into the hallway, where her husband Donovan is seen waiting for her. She gives him a nod of acknowledgment, then turns to look over her shoulder.
Danielle: See you in the ring, BITCH!
Donovan: Ready to go?
Danielle looks up into her husband’s eyes and smiles sweetly at him.
Danielle: Am I ready? You know the answer to that question, Donny. The question is... is Sela ready for me?
Danielle and Donovan share a laugh as Danielle closes the door. From the hallway, we can hear their voices as their conversation continues.
Donovan: Remind me again to never make you angry...
Their conversation trails off as the scene fades out.
