The scene opens up inside one of the convention rooms of the hotel Serenity, and Avery Miles are staying at in Paris, France until they head back home. They were staying a few extra days after Dissension, and had asked some fellow co workers to as well so they could have a baby shower, and everyone be able to come. The room was decorated with pink, and blue balloons, along with some streamers. The room was nicely done, and a lot of work had been put into it. The tables were decorated with pink and blue flowers. There was another table with two small cakes on it, one with pink frosting, and another with blue frosting.
Serenity, and Avery walk into the room, hands held, as they smile looking around at the room. They were happy with how it turned out. They turn to look at each other, as they share a quick kiss before anyone comes. He smiles over at her and whispers something into her ear. They look around the room. The table closest to the door was Josh Goldstein and Kaylee Kassie sitting together. Josh had his arm around her as they smiled and laughed.
Kaylee: Hey you two.
She said waving to Avery and Serenity. Serenity smiles as she waves at them.
Serenity: Hey Kaylee, thanks for coming you two. Glad you could make it.
Josh: Hey! Having fun yet? I know I am! I folded my napkin into a duck!
Josh holds up his origami napkin and begins making quacking noises. Kaylee shakes her head, laughing. It never ceased to amaze her how fun Josh was. Avery has a chuckle.
Damon and Aurora Graves walk into the room, carrying a large gift wrapped in silver metallic paper and decorated with pink and blue ribbons. They look around, finally spotting Avery and Serenity and smiling.
Aurora: Hey guys!
Damon tilts his head to the gift they brought.
Damon: Where do you want us to put this?
Serenity: Put it over there on that table.
Serenity would point over to a table that had a big pink bow and a big blue bow on it. Avery and Aurora give a little half hug as Damon puts the gift on the table. In another part of the room, a little blonde-haired infant is curiously looking around. Klaus Sears-Theron is in awe of the colors, shapes, and patterns. Of course, his mother Everalda is close by, his left hand in her right hand with a gentle squeeze. He looks up to her and tilts his head.
Klaus: Mama! Where auntie? Adween and Dean??
Everalda: They’ll be here soon, sweetie. The nurses had to make sure Aunt Jessica was all ready to go. Are you hungry?
He shakes his little head and she smiles a little. She glances up and her eyes light up.
Everalda: Adrien! Jessica! Dean!
Adrien: You got it, Jess?
The Dropkick King has his gift in one hand, but his other hand is trying to assist Jessica Sears through the door. Dean Matthews is helping her from the other side.
Adrien: Easy...easy...hi, Avery and Serenity...easy…
Avery nods over at them as he and Serenity talked to each other. They eventually get Jessica Sears into a recliner so that she can be comfortable after being in a hospital bed less than an hour ago. She leans back and sighs softly with a smile. Dean on the other hand just stands beside her with his arms crossed over his chest in silence. She looks up at him, trying not to move her head and neck too much.
Jessica: See, now you’re acting like a real Tree Ent. Lighten up, Dean-sama.
Dean: This is about as ‘light’ as i get in public, Jess-sama.
She boops his nose and lets out a cute pout before she looks over to her older sister and Adrien. When she looked away his nose twitched and he looked down at it, nearly going cross eyed with this ‘Did this woman just boop me’ look on his face.
Jessica: Oh! My presents for Avery and Serenity?
Everalda and Klaus move towards the open door to gather them. One has silvery wrapping paper with crescent moons and tied together with pink ribbons. The other one has golden wrapping paper with dragon balls and bound by blue ribbons. Everalda places the presents on the respective table where all the presents are gathered. Her son looks on with bright blue eyes.
Klaus: Open! Open!
Everalda: Be patient, Klaus. They’ll open the presents soon, don’t worry.
Adrien follows suit, carrying his own present to the table, kissing his girlfriend’s cheek as he does. In reference to patience, he had a quick quip to make.
Adrien: Thanks for being patient with us struggling behind you.
Everalda: Patience is a virtue, right Klaus?
Klaus: No!
Jessica can’t help but laugh, even though it hurts a little. There's a knock on the door and then a few seconds later, Mason Moore pushes it open. He has a giant bag with several gifts in one hand and a special present for Serenity in his other. He found a golden colored teddy bear with a tiny microphone in one hand. His girlfriend Maria followed right behind him with a wide smile. Klaus sees the peculiar present in Mason’s hand and looks at the giant bag. Everalda notices her son’s eyes light up and she giggles. She gently takes his left hand before he can try to scramble over to Mason and Maria. Jessica slightly turns her body, not her head and neck, to see two more guests enter the convention room and she casually waves. This is an event to be respectful and she knows how to act accordingly. Mason returns Jessica’s wave as he goes to the table with the other presents and drops them off. He looks around and notices that nobody he has issues with has arrived yet.
Maria: Come on babe, let’s go say hi to Serenity, and Avery.
She goes to pull him towards them, as Serenity looks towards them smiling.
Serenity: Hey Mason, and Maria. Glad you two could come. There is a table over there for the gifts, which looks like you went all out.
Avery nods over to Mason, the two of them hopefully burying the hatchet at Dissension. Serenity lightly laughs, as she looks around. She was happy so many had shown up already. She smiles at Klaus, as she could see he was happy, while she hoped her own kids could be liked that one day.
Mason: There was no way I would miss it Serenity.
Mason gives her a quick hug, then nods back to Avery as things with them look to be settled. The door opens and the Karloff’s enter. Martin carrying Pènèlope with his right arm and helping support his injured wife Xaria with the other as their boys Christian and Jacques enter ahead of them. It was strange to see normal everyday dad Martin as he helped his hurt wife to a chair. Xaria’s right shoulder is heavily bandaged and there’s a medical sling to rest her right arm. The cage match has resulted in a rotator cuff tear. The pain medication hasn’t quite taken into effect. Still, she watches her husband’s care for their children, especially their daughter, and smiles.
Martin: Do you want to make new friends or do you want to stay with mommy and daddy?
Martin says this to Pènèlope who looks out at the crowd. She’s wearing a golden crown with sparkly pink gems with a giant birthday balloon secured around her left wrist.
Penny: I wanna make fwends, Papa.
Martin: Alright then, mon petit ange. Christian? Jacques? Please look after your sister.
Christian: Yes, dad!
Jacques: Oui, papa.
Jacques and Christian nod before of course going to their favorite babysitter (basically the official babysitter of NGW by now) ‘Unca Josh’ who is delighted to show them the origami duck he made as Martin approaches the happy expecting couple.
Martin: Avery. Serenity. Congratulations. I've brought a fruit basket. I hope this is an acceptable gift.
He is polite but public events where he has to be ‘normal’ don't seem to be Martin’s strong suit. He extends his hand to Avery for a handshake. Mason notices Martin and Xaria come in and quickly pulls Maria away as they walk towards the Graves’. They weren’t exactly friends, but they were the farthest away from Xaria. Maria looks at Mason as she shakes her head, while they walk over to the Godparents. Serenity smiles at Martin.
Serenity: It is very acceptable Martin. Thank you. I hope you and Xaria have fun today.
Avery: Thanks Martin.
Avery smiles. As they are talking, The Tuckers, Daisy, and RC walk in with Kathleen in his arms, as they look around. They weren’t sure off hand who to go talk to given different circumstances at the moment. They head over to set down the gifts they got the twins on the table.
Penny: Unca Josh, it’s my birthday today! I’m this many!
She holds up three fingers and giggles. Kaylee watches as she smiles, seeing how comfortable Josh was with kids.
Josh: I heard! Happy birthday, Penny! Did you get to do anything fun today? Was there cake?
Penny: Yeah! There was a BIG ice cream birthday cake! There was Saywa Moon and cute stuff!
Jessica can’t help but overhear the words and she easily completes it to ‘Sailor Moon’. She smiles, knowing she helped inspire this anime love.
Just when it seems like things couldn't get anymore awkward, Martin turns away from Avery and Serenity to head back to his seat just as the door opens to reveal Johnathan Kennedy Fitzsimmons, better known to all present as Johnny Maverick. The whole room briefly gets quiet before Martin simply walks to his chair and has a seat. Seeing how her husband sits down next to her, Xaria sighs softly and lowers her head.
Xaria: ...si’vous plait… do not tell me…
Her concern is imminent when she hears Johnny’s voice.
Johnny: I uh… I brought a real big teddy bear. Danni and Mari brought baby clothes they made.
Behind Johnny were his girlfriends Danni and Mari who were respectively a fashion design student and cosplayer who had made some adorable baby clothes. Johnny steps out briefly and walks back in with a ridiculously oversized teddy bear. Klaus’ eyes light up at the sight of the teddy bear and he tries to walk towards it. Everalda shakes her head and giggles.
Everalda: That one’s not yours, but I’m sure Adrien and I can buy you one for yourself.
Klaus: Awww…
Adrien: Soon, kiddo.
Christian and Jacques look up to see this. Seeing Johnny, however, causes Christian to immediately hide behind Josh. Jacques simply stares at the man as if he knows exactly who he is. They’re both old enough to understand.
Martin: It...was splendid to see everybody but we must be going. I'm certain I know three people here who can't wait to make it to Disneyland Paris.
Martin says this so Pènèlope, Christian, and Jacques can hear. Martin says goodbye to Avery and Serenity before rounding up the children and helping his wife outside to the curb where their driver pulls up to meet them. Johnny releases a deep breath and sits next to Josh and Kaylee, After placing the birthday bags of baby clothing on the present table, Mari and Danni join him at the table as well. Johnny unzips his hoodie and takes off his NGW Championship he was wearing under the hooded sweatshirt and sets it on the table as he sits down. Josh and Kaylee both give him a look. This also catches the attention of Adrien Cochrane before he continues keeping an eye on Klaus.
Johnny: What? Of course I have it on me. Wouldn't you?
For an icebreaker, Jessica smiles and calls out to Johnny.
Jessica: Congratulations, champ! You earned it, you deserved it. And you were right, I REALLY enjoyed the end of the show.
Johnny: Thanks Squirt. How broken are you? Can I hug you if I'm careful? I'm pretty effed up myself.
She glances down at herself and casually shrugs.
Jessica: I’ll never turn down gentle hugs. You’re gonna have to walk over here, though. I have a hard time moving around on my own and the OxyContin keeps me happy. Don’t mind the Tree Ent next to me, he puts up a tough front but he’s friendly.
She looks up at her boyfriend Dean and sticks her tongue out. Dean’s eyes narrowed down at the little blonde and he shook his head.
Dean: I am not a tree, woman.
Jessica: You’re supposed to say “I am Groot!”
Dean: I’d rather die...
Jessica: Dean!!
Dean glanced down at her again and lifted a brow, motioning to the new Champ with a smirk on his lips.
Dean: Less whining, more mingling.
Johnny approaches Jess and the two physically broken wrestlers share a gentle hug.
Johnny: Been meanin’ to tell you this for awhile… but I'm prouda you, Squirt.
Johnny says that to Jess quietly before releasing the hug. She smiles.
Jessica: I’m proud of you too, Johnny.
Meanwhile RC is rocking Kathleen as Daisy preps a bottle.
RC: Think Kathleen will have some nice playmates real soon.
Daisy nods her head yes, as Serenity makes her way over to them.
Daisy: I am sure she will with all of the kids around.
Serenity: Thanks for coming guys. I think I need to sit down.
Avery: Thanks all for coming. I know a few of us are beat up and bruised. Some of us have gold, too.
He smiles at Johnny.
Avery: But it means the world to Serenity and myself.
RC pulls up a chair for her. Serenity sits down next to RC, as she looks around.
RC: I’ll go check for a place to set her up for a little bit. Maybe the other kids will start playing a little when they see her.
Daisy: Go do that, we will stay here.
RC picks up Kathleen and walks off leaving the two women to themselves. Kathleen looks up at him a moment before looking around at the party. Going into a corner not occupied by a lot of tables RC sits down and sets Kathleen next to him with a couple toys of hers. She calls out excitedly as she picks one up and tries to crawl off. Daisy laughs as she watches them.
Daisy: So you ready for the babies to come?
Serenity: I am, but going to hate not being around everyone, but it will be worth it.
Serenity looks around, as she spots everyone, even Avery who was standing off talking to The Graves, Mason, and Maria. She had noticed one person not there that she thought would be, Alex Jones. As she was wondering it, she notices him walk in. He walks around, not paying attention to anyone, as he stays to the background. Klaus notices Kathleen and glances up towards his mother and Adrien.
Klaus: I wanna play!
Everalda: Oh? Do you want to make a new friend?
Klaus: Yeah!
Everalda: Okay, but be gentle. She’s younger than you are, sweetie.
Adrien smiles before whispering to Everalda.
Adrien: Don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye on them.
Everalda: I believe you!
RC has gotten down in front of Kathleen and is nose to nose with her as she continues to attempt crawling away.
RC: Oh fine, I see how it is.
With Adrien holding his little hand, Klaus walks towards Kathleen and smiles.
Klaus: Hewwo!
Kathleen looks up at Klaus with a mostly vacant stare.
RC: You’re supposed to say hello back to him Princess.
Kathleen lets out another call in Klaus’ direction. RC smiles and looks at Klaus.
RC: That’s as good as you’re gonna get kid. You can see if you wanna play with any of the toys. Not much, but a couple things here.
There’s some commotion just outside of the convention room and the door swings open. Jacques comes running inside and makes a beeline towards Johnny. He stops, looks up at him, and kicks him in the shin.
Jacques: JERK!
And as quickly as he runs in, he runs back out without another word. Johnny clutches at his shin, since no matter how many World Titles you’ve won getting kicked in the shin hurts. In the corner of the room a massive laugh is heard from Mason Moore who is pointing at Johnny now. Aurora and Damon are watching what’s going on, with Aurora shaking her head. Jessica covers her mouth and suppresses the urge to laugh at her friend and trainer’s pain. RC looks up for a short moment, rolls his eyes and turns back to the two kids now playing together, kind of. Even Dean watched with a brow shooting upwards.
Mason: He got you. He got you good.
Johnny: Fffffffffff….
Johnny looks around and notices all the children.
Johnny: …uuuuuuuuuuuuuddddddge. Kid kicks harder than his mom.
Mari can’t help but laugh, even though she shouldn't. She has no likeness for Xaria Karloff whatsoever and to hear one of her sons kicks harder than she does… Danni quickly moves over to their boyfriend’s side and checks on him.
Danni: Johnnyyy! Are yew okay? That looked like it hurt a lot!
With an eyebrow arched, Aurora leans toward her husband and whispers.
Aurora: Sheesh… kinda glad we left Ysera with Alicia….
Damon: Mmhmm….
Daisy, and Serenity just facepalm, not able to say anything. Maria lightly laughs, as she shakes her head. She looks at the kids though, each one so young and sweet.
Serenity: Should have known things would get crazy….
Jessica: We’re wrestlers, or associates of wrestlers. I think we’re all at least a little crazy.
Jessica sheepishly grins and angles her body on the recliner so she can watch her nephew Klaus try to interact with Kathleen. He’s very friendly for someone so young. As she adjusts herself the huge blonde standing at her side reaches out and brushes his fingers through her hair idly as he watches the room. Amazing how much he looked like a big guard dog.
The door swings open in a dramatic fashion.
Eddie: GREETINGS, EVERYONE!!
The spikey haired manager barges inside to celebrate the baby shower of his former client with a big present in his hands.
Eddie: How is everyone?!?!
Damon tenses up at the sight of Eddie, but the second Aurora thinks he’s about to take even the slightest step forward, she grabs him by the wrist and shakes her head.
Aurora: Don’t even think about it…
Damon: (grumbling) Fine….
RC looks up again and applauds a little.
RC: Alright, alright. I’ll admit a good entrance when I see one.
Jessica turns her body to look around carefully. She recognizes everyone in the convention room, but there’s a slight frown on her face.
Jessica: Hm… we’re one Guardian of the Galaxy short…
Then she snaps her fingers.
Jessica: I can fix it! Dean!
Instinctively, she turns her head towards him… this doesn’t prove to be very smart and she audibly hisses from the pain.
Jessica: ...owwwwww… um… can you please grab my tablet? I need to make a Skype call.
Dean: Where is it?
Jessica: In my backpack.
Dean’s mind immediately flashed back to the car and the words, affectionately spoken, “woman, I am not a pack mule”, but nonetheless he reached over his shoulder and grabbed the pack that hung there. He removed the tablet and held it out in front of her so she wouldn’t have to turn her head. She blows her boyfriend a kiss before she moves her fingers across the screen and starts up Skype. She easily brings up her Favorites list, selects the name “Jazmyn Rain”, and presses the Call button. She waits for her fellow Guardian sister to (hopefully) answer. After a few rounds of the dialing sound, the call is automatically missed and Jessica frowns.
Jessica: Damn… er, I mean dang. I guess I’ll try calling big sis later, then. You can put my tablet back in my backpack now, Dean. Thank you.
She watches her giant of a boyfriend grumble slightly before he carefully puts the tablet back into the backpack. Then he leans down and kisses her, which she smiles affectionately.
Kaylee looks over to Josh:
Kaylee: You sure love little ones, don’t you?
Josh: Hm? Oh I mean… I've been the neighborhood babysitter since I was like 14. It's how I made comic book and video game money. But yeah… I am told I'm pretty good with kids.
She holds his arm with both hands.
Kaylee: Mmhmm. Noted. And how many.. I mean. Theoretically?
Josh: Hm? Two comics every week and one a month for video games. I was super good at budgeting.
She laughs.
Kaylee: Joshie. I mean kids. How many kids do you want to have?
Kaylee shakes her head.
Josh: Umm...t-two?
Johnny: Baby shower hormones runnin’ wiiiiiiild.
Kaylee: Shut up Johnny.
Kaylee rolls her eyes, but he was telling the truth as Josh was not sure how to take Kaylee’s question.
Danni: How many kids do yew want, Johnny?
Johnny: I’m gonna shut uuuuuuuuup.
Mari: . . .no comment.
Danni: I want two, too, Josh!
Josh and Johnny share a look.
Johnny: Is there really no alcohol here?
Josh: This is a baby shower, Johnny.
Johnny: Question still stands.
The door swings open as the room all tense up a bit.
Devlin: It’s fine… this is not work. Relax all of you.
A laugh comes over as Devlin steps into the room along with his girlfriend, Rhea.
Devlin: Sorry about being late. Had to take care of some…. Stuff.
Rhea blushes.
Devlin: Business, stuff.
Johnny: (whispered) This guy fucks...
Avery shakes his head as he heads over to Devlin and they hug. Devlin and Avery were closer than Devlin was with some of the roster. Devlin hands Avery an envelope as Avery and Rhea shared a sort of half hug.
Devlin: For those that don’t know, this is Rhea. This is my new girlfriend.
Avery: Thanks for coming, both of you.
He looks over to Aurora and Damon.
Avery: The Godparents are going to help us open gifts?
Aurora and Damon smile and nod.
Aurora: Of course!
Avery heads over to the table where Serenity and Daisy were sitting. Daisy gets up for Aurora to sit. Avery and Damon play couriers, taking a few presents from the gift table over to the ladies to open. There were way more presents than they needed, but they appreciated them all regardless.
Aurora: Well, while the guys are moving things along, I guess we’ll start tearing into stuff. Which one do you want to open first?
Serenity: Let’s open RC, and Daisy’s gifts first.
Avery brings the gifts over, as he hands them to Aurora, and Serenity to open it. Aurora opens up hers, as it is a box of diapers.
Daisy: We also had some more boxes of diapers shipped to your house already too.
Serenity opens the gift she has, as she holds up some onesies. One is pink with Diamond Queen on it, which was one of the nicknames Serenity had, and one was blue with AM3 on it for Avery. There was also some other ones that were plain, in various colors.
Serenity: Daisy, RC, thank you, these are great.
Avery nods towards them and mouths “Thank you.” RC calls out from his corner where Kathleen and Klaus were playing.
RC: I still say we should’ve done AM4.
Everalda giggles softly. She turns and smiles to see her son playing so nicely with Kathleen. She and her grandmother taught him well.
Serenity: Just means they will represent their parents well with the ones that are now. We should open the next ones.
Serenity is handed the next gift, Danni, and Mari’s. She starts opening it up, as she sees a bunch of handmade baby clothes, even matching rainbow dress for Journey, and rainbow onesie for Little Avery. Serenity holds them up.
Serenity: These are so cute Danni, Mari. They must have took a while to make them.
Serenity, and Aurora were handed the next gifts, these were from Everalda. Both girls start opening them up, Aurora’s is a basket filled with things for a baby boy, while Serenity’s is also a basket filled with things for a baby girl. Also with each basket was some bath essentials. Also a Daddy’s little Princess dress, and a Mama’s little Prince onesie. Serenity smiles, as she looks at them, more than happy for them.
Serenity: These are so cute Everalda. Might be a lot better calling them Princess and Prince than calling them Peanuts.
Avery nods in agreement as he and Damon keeps the gift shuffling going. She lightly laughs, as there was also more diapers. They put the gifts to the side, as Avery, and Damon hand the girls the next gifts. Ten gifts over all, all from Maria, and Mason. Serenity also looks at the teddy bear with mic.
Serenity: Mason are you trying to convince one of the twins to interview?
She laughs, as she couldn’t help but to ask. She starts opening the gifts, along with Aurora. The first one Serenity opens is a Muscle Machine onesie, and a Devilish Angel onesie. She holds them up, smiling. Aurora opens the next one, as it is a pair of matching stuffed dogs, personalized with the twins names on them. They are handed two more gifts from Maria and Mason, as they open them. Aurora’s was bottles, while Serenity’s is baby wipes. They both open up two more gifts from them, as they are diapers, along with a baby bag that had dogs on it. They open up two more of the gifts, these being some rubber ducks, and also baby powder. They open the last gifts, as they are a female cat with NGW logo on it, and a male dinosaur with NGW logo on it. Serenity looks up at Mason, and Maria.
Serenity: Thank you guys. I am sure the twins will love the toys, and stuffed animals.
Maria: We were hoping to get things you would need, and Mason just wanted to get you some things they could enjoy.
Aurora and Serenity are handed the next gifts. They are from Xaria Karloff, along with her kids. Serenity opens one envelope first, as it is a large custom-made baby shower card. It is signed by her three kids.
Serenity: That is so sweet of the kids.
She smiles, as Serenity opens the other envelope up, as it is a couples spa day for Avery and Serenity. Serenity looks at Avery.
Serenity: This will have to be after the twins are born, and when we have a lot of time. Good thing it doesn’t expire.
Aurora, and Serenity go to open the rest of the gifts from Xaria, as it ends up being a big baby set of gifts with various things in it like rubber ducks, piggy banks, more stuffed animals, among other things.
Serenity: This is pretty great. A lot, but will be well worth it.
The guys take the gifts, setting them off to the side with the rest. Aurora, and Serenity are handed two more gifts. One from Josh, and the other from Alex. Serenity opens the one she has from Alex, revealing it to be matching onesies, one in pink, one in blue, both saying the evil twin is the other one. Serenity laughs, as she shows Avery who laughs also.
Serenity: Really Alex… this is funny. Thank you.
Aurora opens Josh’s gift, revealing matching red baby capes. Serenity laughs more.
Serenity: I guess they go from being evil twins, to superheros. Thank you Josh.
The guys take the onesies, and capes away, before handing the girls two more gifts. Both from Jessica. Serenity opens the one she has, as it is a bunch of diapers, along with two Dragonball Z onesies. Aurora opens her gift she has, showing more diapers, along with Sailor Moon dresses. Being a Sailor Moon fan herself, Aurora gives Jessica a knowing smile.
Serenity: They should enjoy these. Thank you Jessica.
The items are put with the rest of the gifts, as the girls are given two more gifts. One from Eddie, and one from Adrien. Serenity starts to open up Adrien’s, not sure what to expect. Once she did, she would see it was two baby activity mats for the twins to play on once they get a bit older. Along with it was some bottles, and baby wipes.
Serenity: I am sure the twins will love this when they get old enough, thank you Adrien.
Aurora opens up Eddie’s gift, as it is a bunch of onesies. Each one had one of his client’s designs on it.
Serenity: Really Eddie, pushing your clients merchandise I see.
She lightly laughs. Eddie keeps a serious face as he looks back up at Serenity.
Eddie: Never, EVER pass up an opportunity to get the brand out there. Very important!
Serenity: You got a point. Now hope Melina doesn’t give us one herself.
She laughs, as she hands the gifts over to Avery.
Serenity: Look like we have the godparents gifts left. I think Avery should help me open it.
Avery: Okay.
Avery takes a seat next to Serenity as he looks for the first gift. She hands a large silver box to Avery as he pretends as if he almost dropped it.
Avery: Joking. Joking. But the Godparents sure know how to go all out.
He sets the box down and opens it.
Avery: Oh Damn… some swag!
Avery pulls out a series of baby clothes.
Avery: Well let’s see… a pair of Pickle Rick onesies.
He laughs as he pulls out an orange onesie.
Avery: “I Did 9 Months Hard Time” onesies.
He laughs as he reads it.
Avery: “18 Years Until My First Tattoo” onesies.
He looks over at Serenity. She shakes her head.
Avery: What the… onesies with tat sleeves? Badass!
He pulls out a couple of more onesies.
Avery: More merch? Rebel Ink. We are raising evil, superhero, badass inked twins!
He holds them up. Looking back in the box, there was more.
Avery: More diapers. I think we are set to keep them in diapers until they can legally work.
Aurora: You’d be surprised at how fast babies go through diapers.
He looks more.
Avery: I am sure I will learn…
He looks over at Serenity, she had more of an idea about all of this then he did.
Avery: Awesome!
Avery holds up a blue towel with Avery and a pink towel with Journey on them.
Avery: Personalized towels. Serenity makes me use the same ole stinky one. Lucky kids.
He laughs. Avery pulls out a couple of blankets, again a blue and a pink one. He snuggles them up to his face.
Serenity: Those are for the babies!
Avery: And so warm!
He laughs. He pulls out two stuffed bunnies, color coded as well.
Avery: Oh wow. No way.
Avery reaches in and pulls out two pairs of baby-sized Chuck Taylors.
Avery: Some nice shoes. They will be the best players on the court now, in the baby division.
He laughs, already making terrible dad jokes.
Avery: Thank you so much.
Avery heads over and hugs Aurora, and then he bro hugs it out with Damon.
Avery: Thank you so much everyone.
Damon: Don’t mention it. Gotta make sure the kids get off to a good start, right?
Aurora nods her head.
Aurora: Mmhmm…
Serenity moves over to Aurora as she hugs her.
Serenity: Thank you. Really thank all of you. This means a lot. You guys have no idea. For now though, the little ones are hungry, I think it’s time for cake.
She laughs, along with the others, as she goes to sit down, while Avery, and Damon starts cutting the cake, and passing it out. The scene cuts out on everyone eating it while talking.
The scene opens up inside one of the convention rooms of the hotel Serenity, and Avery Miles are staying at in Paris, France until they head back home. They were staying a few extra days after Dissension, and had asked some fellow co workers to as well so they could have a baby shower, and everyone be able to come. The room was decorated with pink, and blue balloons, along with some streamers. The room was nicely done, and a lot of work had been put into it. The tables were decorated with pink and blue flowers. There was another table with two small cakes on it, one with pink frosting, and another with blue frosting.
Serenity, and Avery walk into the room, hands held, as they smile looking around at the room. They were happy with how it turned out. They turn to look at each other, as they share a quick kiss before anyone comes. He smiles over at her and whispers something into her ear. They look around the room. The table closest to the door was Josh Goldstein and Kaylee Kassie sitting together. Josh had his arm around her as they smiled and laughed.
Kaylee: Hey you two.
She said waving to Avery and Serenity. Serenity smiles as she waves at them.
Serenity: Hey Kaylee, thanks for coming you two. Glad you could make it.
Josh: Hey! Having fun yet? I know I am! I folded my napkin into a duck!
Josh holds up his origami napkin and begins making quacking noises. Kaylee shakes her head, laughing. It never ceased to amaze her how fun Josh was. Avery has a chuckle.
Damon and Aurora Graves walk into the room, carrying a large gift wrapped in silver metallic paper and decorated with pink and blue ribbons. They look around, finally spotting Avery and Serenity and smiling.
Aurora: Hey guys!
Damon tilts his head to the gift they brought.
Damon: Where do you want us to put this?
Serenity: Put it over there on that table.
Serenity would point over to a table that had a big pink bow and a big blue bow on it. Avery and Aurora give a little half hug as Damon puts the gift on the table. In another part of the room, a little blonde-haired infant is curiously looking around. Klaus Sears-Theron is in awe of the colors, shapes, and patterns. Of course, his mother Everalda is close by, his left hand in her right hand with a gentle squeeze. He looks up to her and tilts his head.
Klaus: Mama! Where auntie? Adween and Dean??
Everalda: They’ll be here soon, sweetie. The nurses had to make sure Aunt Jessica was all ready to go. Are you hungry?
He shakes his little head and she smiles a little. She glances up and her eyes light up.
Everalda: Adrien! Jessica! Dean!
Adrien: You got it, Jess?
The Dropkick King has his gift in one hand, but his other hand is trying to assist Jessica Sears through the door. Dean Matthews is helping her from the other side.
Adrien: Easy...easy...hi, Avery and Serenity...easy…
Avery nods over at them as he and Serenity talked to each other. They eventually get Jessica Sears into a recliner so that she can be comfortable after being in a hospital bed less than an hour ago. She leans back and sighs softly with a smile. Dean on the other hand just stands beside her with his arms crossed over his chest in silence. She looks up at him, trying not to move her head and neck too much.
Jessica: See, now you’re acting like a real Tree Ent. Lighten up, Dean-sama.
Dean: This is about as ‘light’ as i get in public, Jess-sama.
She boops his nose and lets out a cute pout before she looks over to her older sister and Adrien. When she looked away his nose twitched and he looked down at it, nearly going cross eyed with this ‘Did this woman just boop me’ look on his face.
Jessica: Oh! My presents for Avery and Serenity?
Everalda and Klaus move towards the open door to gather them. One has silvery wrapping paper with crescent moons and tied together with pink ribbons. The other one has golden wrapping paper with dragon balls and bound by blue ribbons. Everalda places the presents on the respective table where all the presents are gathered. Her son looks on with bright blue eyes.
Klaus: Open! Open!
Everalda: Be patient, Klaus. They’ll open the presents soon, don’t worry.
Adrien follows suit, carrying his own present to the table, kissing his girlfriend’s cheek as he does. In reference to patience, he had a quick quip to make.
Adrien: Thanks for being patient with us struggling behind you.
Everalda: Patience is a virtue, right Klaus?
Klaus: No!
Jessica can’t help but laugh, even though it hurts a little. There's a knock on the door and then a few seconds later, Mason Moore pushes it open. He has a giant bag with several gifts in one hand and a special present for Serenity in his other. He found a golden colored teddy bear with a tiny microphone in one hand. His girlfriend Maria followed right behind him with a wide smile. Klaus sees the peculiar present in Mason’s hand and looks at the giant bag. Everalda notices her son’s eyes light up and she giggles. She gently takes his left hand before he can try to scramble over to Mason and Maria. Jessica slightly turns her body, not her head and neck, to see two more guests enter the convention room and she casually waves. This is an event to be respectful and she knows how to act accordingly. Mason returns Jessica’s wave as he goes to the table with the other presents and drops them off. He looks around and notices that nobody he has issues with has arrived yet.
Maria: Come on babe, let’s go say hi to Serenity, and Avery.
She goes to pull him towards them, as Serenity looks towards them smiling.
Serenity: Hey Mason, and Maria. Glad you two could come. There is a table over there for the gifts, which looks like you went all out.
Avery nods over to Mason, the two of them hopefully burying the hatchet at Dissension. Serenity lightly laughs, as she looks around. She was happy so many had shown up already. She smiles at Klaus, as she could see he was happy, while she hoped her own kids could be liked that one day.
Mason: There was no way I would miss it Serenity.
Mason gives her a quick hug, then nods back to Avery as things with them look to be settled. The door opens and the Karloff’s enter. Martin carrying Pènèlope with his right arm and helping support his injured wife Xaria with the other as their boys Christian and Jacques enter ahead of them. It was strange to see normal everyday dad Martin as he helped his hurt wife to a chair. Xaria’s right shoulder is heavily bandaged and there’s a medical sling to rest her right arm. The cage match has resulted in a rotator cuff tear. The pain medication hasn’t quite taken into effect. Still, she watches her husband’s care for their children, especially their daughter, and smiles.
Martin: Do you want to make new friends or do you want to stay with mommy and daddy?
Martin says this to Pènèlope who looks out at the crowd. She’s wearing a golden crown with sparkly pink gems with a giant birthday balloon secured around her left wrist.
Penny: I wanna make fwends, Papa.
Martin: Alright then, mon petit ange. Christian? Jacques? Please look after your sister.
Christian: Yes, dad!
Jacques: Oui, papa.
Jacques and Christian nod before of course going to their favorite babysitter (basically the official babysitter of NGW by now) ‘Unca Josh’ who is delighted to show them the origami duck he made as Martin approaches the happy expecting couple.
Martin: Avery. Serenity. Congratulations. I've brought a fruit basket. I hope this is an acceptable gift.
He is polite but public events where he has to be ‘normal’ don't seem to be Martin’s strong suit. He extends his hand to Avery for a handshake. Mason notices Martin and Xaria come in and quickly pulls Maria away as they walk towards the Graves’. They weren’t exactly friends, but they were the farthest away from Xaria. Maria looks at Mason as she shakes her head, while they walk over to the Godparents. Serenity smiles at Martin.
Serenity: It is very acceptable Martin. Thank you. I hope you and Xaria have fun today.
Avery: Thanks Martin.
Avery smiles. As they are talking, The Tuckers, Daisy, and RC walk in with Kathleen in his arms, as they look around. They weren’t sure off hand who to go talk to given different circumstances at the moment. They head over to set down the gifts they got the twins on the table.
Penny: Unca Josh, it’s my birthday today! I’m this many!
She holds up three fingers and giggles. Kaylee watches as she smiles, seeing how comfortable Josh was with kids.
Josh: I heard! Happy birthday, Penny! Did you get to do anything fun today? Was there cake?
Penny: Yeah! There was a BIG ice cream birthday cake! There was Saywa Moon and cute stuff!
Jessica can’t help but overhear the words and she easily completes it to ‘Sailor Moon’. She smiles, knowing she helped inspire this anime love.
Just when it seems like things couldn't get anymore awkward, Martin turns away from Avery and Serenity to head back to his seat just as the door opens to reveal Johnathan Kennedy Fitzsimmons, better known to all present as Johnny Maverick. The whole room briefly gets quiet before Martin simply walks to his chair and has a seat. Seeing how her husband sits down next to her, Xaria sighs softly and lowers her head.
Xaria: ...si’vous plait… do not tell me…
Her concern is imminent when she hears Johnny’s voice.
Johnny: I uh… I brought a real big teddy bear. Danni and Mari brought baby clothes they made.
Behind Johnny were his girlfriends Danni and Mari who were respectively a fashion design student and cosplayer who had made some adorable baby clothes. Johnny steps out briefly and walks back in with a ridiculously oversized teddy bear. Klaus’ eyes light up at the sight of the teddy bear and he tries to walk towards it. Everalda shakes her head and giggles.
Everalda: That one’s not yours, but I’m sure Adrien and I can buy you one for yourself.
Klaus: Awww…
Adrien: Soon, kiddo.
Christian and Jacques look up to see this. Seeing Johnny, however, causes Christian to immediately hide behind Josh. Jacques simply stares at the man as if he knows exactly who he is. They’re both old enough to understand.
Martin: It...was splendid to see everybody but we must be going. I'm certain I know three people here who can't wait to make it to Disneyland Paris.
Martin says this so Pènèlope, Christian, and Jacques can hear. Martin says goodbye to Avery and Serenity before rounding up the children and helping his wife outside to the curb where their driver pulls up to meet them. Johnny releases a deep breath and sits next to Josh and Kaylee, After placing the birthday bags of baby clothing on the present table, Mari and Danni join him at the table as well. Johnny unzips his hoodie and takes off his NGW Championship he was wearing under the hooded sweatshirt and sets it on the table as he sits down. Josh and Kaylee both give him a look. This also catches the attention of Adrien Cochrane before he continues keeping an eye on Klaus.
Johnny: What? Of course I have it on me. Wouldn't you?
For an icebreaker, Jessica smiles and calls out to Johnny.
Jessica: Congratulations, champ! You earned it, you deserved it. And you were right, I REALLY enjoyed the end of the show.
Johnny: Thanks Squirt. How broken are you? Can I hug you if I'm careful? I'm pretty effed up myself.
She glances down at herself and casually shrugs.
Jessica: I’ll never turn down gentle hugs. You’re gonna have to walk over here, though. I have a hard time moving around on my own and the OxyContin keeps me happy. Don’t mind the Tree Ent next to me, he puts up a tough front but he’s friendly.
She looks up at her boyfriend Dean and sticks her tongue out. Dean’s eyes narrowed down at the little blonde and he shook his head.
Dean: I am not a tree, woman.
Jessica: You’re supposed to say “I am Groot!”
Dean: I’d rather die...
Jessica: Dean!!
Dean glanced down at her again and lifted a brow, motioning to the new Champ with a smirk on his lips.
Dean: Less whining, more mingling.
Johnny approaches Jess and the two physically broken wrestlers share a gentle hug.
Johnny: Been meanin’ to tell you this for awhile… but I'm prouda you, Squirt.
Johnny says that to Jess quietly before releasing the hug. She smiles.
Jessica: I’m proud of you too, Johnny.
Meanwhile RC is rocking Kathleen as Daisy preps a bottle.
RC: Think Kathleen will have some nice playmates real soon.
Daisy nods her head yes, as Serenity makes her way over to them.
Daisy: I am sure she will with all of the kids around.
Serenity: Thanks for coming guys. I think I need to sit down.
Avery: Thanks all for coming. I know a few of us are beat up and bruised. Some of us have gold, too.
He smiles at Johnny.
Avery: But it means the world to Serenity and myself.
RC pulls up a chair for her. Serenity sits down next to RC, as she looks around.
RC: I’ll go check for a place to set her up for a little bit. Maybe the other kids will start playing a little when they see her.
Daisy: Go do that, we will stay here.
RC picks up Kathleen and walks off leaving the two women to themselves. Kathleen looks up at him a moment before looking around at the party. Going into a corner not occupied by a lot of tables RC sits down and sets Kathleen next to him with a couple toys of hers. She calls out excitedly as she picks one up and tries to crawl off. Daisy laughs as she watches them.
Daisy: So you ready for the babies to come?
Serenity: I am, but going to hate not being around everyone, but it will be worth it.
Serenity looks around, as she spots everyone, even Avery who was standing off talking to The Graves, Mason, and Maria. She had noticed one person not there that she thought would be, Alex Jones. As she was wondering it, she notices him walk in. He walks around, not paying attention to anyone, as he stays to the background. Klaus notices Kathleen and glances up towards his mother and Adrien.
Klaus: I wanna play!
Everalda: Oh? Do you want to make a new friend?
Klaus: Yeah!
Everalda: Okay, but be gentle. She’s younger than you are, sweetie.
Adrien smiles before whispering to Everalda.
Adrien: Don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye on them.
Everalda: I believe you!
RC has gotten down in front of Kathleen and is nose to nose with her as she continues to attempt crawling away.
RC: Oh fine, I see how it is.
With Adrien holding his little hand, Klaus walks towards Kathleen and smiles.
Klaus: Hewwo!
Kathleen looks up at Klaus with a mostly vacant stare.
RC: You’re supposed to say hello back to him Princess.
Kathleen lets out another call in Klaus’ direction. RC smiles and looks at Klaus.
RC: That’s as good as you’re gonna get kid. You can see if you wanna play with any of the toys. Not much, but a couple things here.
There’s some commotion just outside of the convention room and the door swings open. Jacques comes running inside and makes a beeline towards Johnny. He stops, looks up at him, and kicks him in the shin.
Jacques: JERK!
And as quickly as he runs in, he runs back out without another word. Johnny clutches at his shin, since no matter how many World Titles you’ve won getting kicked in the shin hurts. In the corner of the room a massive laugh is heard from Mason Moore who is pointing at Johnny now. Aurora and Damon are watching what’s going on, with Aurora shaking her head. Jessica covers her mouth and suppresses the urge to laugh at her friend and trainer’s pain. RC looks up for a short moment, rolls his eyes and turns back to the two kids now playing together, kind of. Even Dean watched with a brow shooting upwards.
Mason: He got you. He got you good.
Johnny: Fffffffffff….
Johnny looks around and notices all the children.
Johnny: …uuuuuuuuuuuuuddddddge. Kid kicks harder than his mom.
Mari can’t help but laugh, even though she shouldn't. She has no likeness for Xaria Karloff whatsoever and to hear one of her sons kicks harder than she does… Danni quickly moves over to their boyfriend’s side and checks on him.
Danni: Johnnyyy! Are yew okay? That looked like it hurt a lot!
With an eyebrow arched, Aurora leans toward her husband and whispers.
Aurora: Sheesh… kinda glad we left Ysera with Alicia….
Damon: Mmhmm….
Daisy, and Serenity just facepalm, not able to say anything. Maria lightly laughs, as she shakes her head. She looks at the kids though, each one so young and sweet.
Serenity: Should have known things would get crazy….
Jessica: We’re wrestlers, or associates of wrestlers. I think we’re all at least a little crazy.
Jessica sheepishly grins and angles her body on the recliner so she can watch her nephew Klaus try to interact with Kathleen. He’s very friendly for someone so young. As she adjusts herself the huge blonde standing at her side reaches out and brushes his fingers through her hair idly as he watches the room. Amazing how much he looked like a big guard dog.
The door swings open in a dramatic fashion.
Eddie: GREETINGS, EVERYONE!!
The spikey haired manager barges inside to celebrate the baby shower of his former client with a big present in his hands.
Eddie: How is everyone?!?!
Damon tenses up at the sight of Eddie, but the second Aurora thinks he’s about to take even the slightest step forward, she grabs him by the wrist and shakes her head.
Aurora: Don’t even think about it…
Damon: (grumbling) Fine….
RC looks up again and applauds a little.
RC: Alright, alright. I’ll admit a good entrance when I see one.
Jessica turns her body to look around carefully. She recognizes everyone in the convention room, but there’s a slight frown on her face.
Jessica: Hm… we’re one Guardian of the Galaxy short…
Then she snaps her fingers.
Jessica: I can fix it! Dean!
Instinctively, she turns her head towards him… this doesn’t prove to be very smart and she audibly hisses from the pain.
Jessica: ...owwwwww… um… can you please grab my tablet? I need to make a Skype call.
Dean: Where is it?
Jessica: In my backpack.
Dean’s mind immediately flashed back to the car and the words, affectionately spoken, “woman, I am not a pack mule”, but nonetheless he reached over his shoulder and grabbed the pack that hung there. He removed the tablet and held it out in front of her so she wouldn’t have to turn her head. She blows her boyfriend a kiss before she moves her fingers across the screen and starts up Skype. She easily brings up her Favorites list, selects the name “Jazmyn Rain”, and presses the Call button. She waits for her fellow Guardian sister to (hopefully) answer. After a few rounds of the dialing sound, the call is automatically missed and Jessica frowns.
Jessica: Damn… er, I mean dang. I guess I’ll try calling big sis later, then. You can put my tablet back in my backpack now, Dean. Thank you.
She watches her giant of a boyfriend grumble slightly before he carefully puts the tablet back into the backpack. Then he leans down and kisses her, which she smiles affectionately.
Kaylee looks over to Josh:
Kaylee: You sure love little ones, don’t you?
Josh: Hm? Oh I mean… I've been the neighborhood babysitter since I was like 14. It's how I made comic book and video game money. But yeah… I am told I'm pretty good with kids.
She holds his arm with both hands.
Kaylee: Mmhmm. Noted. And how many.. I mean. Theoretically?
Josh: Hm? Two comics every week and one a month for video games. I was super good at budgeting.
She laughs.
Kaylee: Joshie. I mean kids. How many kids do you want to have?
Kaylee shakes her head.
Josh: Umm...t-two?
Johnny: Baby shower hormones runnin’ wiiiiiiild.
Kaylee: Shut up Johnny.
Kaylee rolls her eyes, but he was telling the truth as Josh was not sure how to take Kaylee’s question.
Danni: How many kids do yew want, Johnny?
Johnny: I’m gonna shut uuuuuuuuup.
Mari: . . .no comment.
Danni: I want two, too, Josh!
Josh and Johnny share a look.
Johnny: Is there really no alcohol here?
Josh: This is a baby shower, Johnny.
Johnny: Question still stands.
The door swings open as the room all tense up a bit.
Devlin: It’s fine… this is not work. Relax all of you.
A laugh comes over as Devlin steps into the room along with his girlfriend, Rhea.
Devlin: Sorry about being late. Had to take care of some…. Stuff.
Rhea blushes.
Devlin: Business, stuff.
Johnny: (whispered) This guy fucks...
Avery shakes his head as he heads over to Devlin and they hug. Devlin and Avery were closer than Devlin was with some of the roster. Devlin hands Avery an envelope as Avery and Rhea shared a sort of half hug.
Devlin: For those that don’t know, this is Rhea. This is my new girlfriend.
Avery: Thanks for coming, both of you.
He looks over to Aurora and Damon.
Avery: The Godparents are going to help us open gifts?
Aurora and Damon smile and nod.
Aurora: Of course!
Avery heads over to the table where Serenity and Daisy were sitting. Daisy gets up for Aurora to sit. Avery and Damon play couriers, taking a few presents from the gift table over to the ladies to open. There were way more presents than they needed, but they appreciated them all regardless.
Aurora: Well, while the guys are moving things along, I guess we’ll start tearing into stuff. Which one do you want to open first?
Serenity: Let’s open RC, and Daisy’s gifts first.
Avery brings the gifts over, as he hands them to Aurora, and Serenity to open it. Aurora opens up hers, as it is a box of diapers.
Daisy: We also had some more boxes of diapers shipped to your house already too.
Serenity opens the gift she has, as she holds up some onesies. One is pink with Diamond Queen on it, which was one of the nicknames Serenity had, and one was blue with AM3 on it for Avery. There was also some other ones that were plain, in various colors.
Serenity: Daisy, RC, thank you, these are great.
Avery nods towards them and mouths “Thank you.” RC calls out from his corner where Kathleen and Klaus were playing.
RC: I still say we should’ve done AM4.
Everalda giggles softly. She turns and smiles to see her son playing so nicely with Kathleen. She and her grandmother taught him well.
Serenity: Just means they will represent their parents well with the ones that are now. We should open the next ones.
Serenity is handed the next gift, Danni, and Mari’s. She starts opening it up, as she sees a bunch of handmade baby clothes, even matching rainbow dress for Journey, and rainbow onesie for Little Avery. Serenity holds them up.
Serenity: These are so cute Danni, Mari. They must have took a while to make them.
Serenity, and Aurora were handed the next gifts, these were from Everalda. Both girls start opening them up, Aurora’s is a basket filled with things for a baby boy, while Serenity’s is also a basket filled with things for a baby girl. Also with each basket was some bath essentials. Also a Daddy’s little Princess dress, and a Mama’s little Prince onesie. Serenity smiles, as she looks at them, more than happy for them.
Serenity: These are so cute Everalda. Might be a lot better calling them Princess and Prince than calling them Peanuts.
Avery nods in agreement as he and Damon keeps the gift shuffling going. She lightly laughs, as there was also more diapers. They put the gifts to the side, as Avery, and Damon hand the girls the next gifts. Ten gifts over all, all from Maria, and Mason. Serenity also looks at the teddy bear with mic.
Serenity: Mason are you trying to convince one of the twins to interview?
She laughs, as she couldn’t help but to ask. She starts opening the gifts, along with Aurora. The first one Serenity opens is a Muscle Machine onesie, and a Devilish Angel onesie. She holds them up, smiling. Aurora opens the next one, as it is a pair of matching stuffed dogs, personalized with the twins names on them. They are handed two more gifts from Maria and Mason, as they open them. Aurora’s was bottles, while Serenity’s is baby wipes. They both open up two more gifts from them, as they are diapers, along with a baby bag that had dogs on it. They open up two more of the gifts, these being some rubber ducks, and also baby powder. They open the last gifts, as they are a female cat with NGW logo on it, and a male dinosaur with NGW logo on it. Serenity looks up at Mason, and Maria.
Serenity: Thank you guys. I am sure the twins will love the toys, and stuffed animals.
Maria: We were hoping to get things you would need, and Mason just wanted to get you some things they could enjoy.
Aurora and Serenity are handed the next gifts. They are from Xaria Karloff, along with her kids. Serenity opens one envelope first, as it is a large custom-made baby shower card. It is signed by her three kids.
Serenity: That is so sweet of the kids.
She smiles, as Serenity opens the other envelope up, as it is a couples spa day for Avery and Serenity. Serenity looks at Avery.
Serenity: This will have to be after the twins are born, and when we have a lot of time. Good thing it doesn’t expire.
Aurora, and Serenity go to open the rest of the gifts from Xaria, as it ends up being a big baby set of gifts with various things in it like rubber ducks, piggy banks, more stuffed animals, among other things.
Serenity: This is pretty great. A lot, but will be well worth it.
The guys take the gifts, setting them off to the side with the rest. Aurora, and Serenity are handed two more gifts. One from Josh, and the other from Alex. Serenity opens the one she has from Alex, revealing it to be matching onesies, one in pink, one in blue, both saying the evil twin is the other one. Serenity laughs, as she shows Avery who laughs also.
Serenity: Really Alex… this is funny. Thank you.
Aurora opens Josh’s gift, revealing matching red baby capes. Serenity laughs more.
Serenity: I guess they go from being evil twins, to superheros. Thank you Josh.
The guys take the onesies, and capes away, before handing the girls two more gifts. Both from Jessica. Serenity opens the one she has, as it is a bunch of diapers, along with two Dragonball Z onesies. Aurora opens her gift she has, showing more diapers, along with Sailor Moon dresses. Being a Sailor Moon fan herself, Aurora gives Jessica a knowing smile.
Serenity: They should enjoy these. Thank you Jessica.
The items are put with the rest of the gifts, as the girls are given two more gifts. One from Eddie, and one from Adrien. Serenity starts to open up Adrien’s, not sure what to expect. Once she did, she would see it was two baby activity mats for the twins to play on once they get a bit older. Along with it was some bottles, and baby wipes.
Serenity: I am sure the twins will love this when they get old enough, thank you Adrien.
Aurora opens up Eddie’s gift, as it is a bunch of onesies. Each one had one of his client’s designs on it.
Serenity: Really Eddie, pushing your clients merchandise I see.
She lightly laughs. Eddie keeps a serious face as he looks back up at Serenity.
Eddie: Never, EVER pass up an opportunity to get the brand out there. Very important!
Serenity: You got a point. Now hope Melina doesn’t give us one herself.
She laughs, as she hands the gifts over to Avery.
Serenity: Look like we have the godparents gifts left. I think Avery should help me open it.
Avery: Okay.
Avery takes a seat next to Serenity as he looks for the first gift. She hands a large silver box to Avery as he pretends as if he almost dropped it.
Avery: Joking. Joking. But the Godparents sure know how to go all out.
He sets the box down and opens it.
Avery: Oh Damn… some swag!
Avery pulls out a series of baby clothes.
Avery: Well let’s see… a pair of Pickle Rick onesies.
He laughs as he pulls out an orange onesie.
Avery: “I Did 9 Months Hard Time” onesies.
He laughs as he reads it.
Avery: “18 Years Until My First Tattoo” onesies.
He looks over at Serenity. She shakes her head.
Avery: What the… onesies with tat sleeves? Badass!
He pulls out a couple of more onesies.
Avery: More merch? Rebel Ink. We are raising evil, superhero, badass inked twins!
He holds them up. Looking back in the box, there was more.
Avery: More diapers. I think we are set to keep them in diapers until they can legally work.
Aurora: You’d be surprised at how fast babies go through diapers.
He looks more.
Avery: I am sure I will learn…
He looks over at Serenity, she had more of an idea about all of this then he did.
Avery: Awesome!
Avery holds up a blue towel with Avery and a pink towel with Journey on them.
Avery: Personalized towels. Serenity makes me use the same ole stinky one. Lucky kids.
He laughs. Avery pulls out a couple of blankets, again a blue and a pink one. He snuggles them up to his face.
Serenity: Those are for the babies!
Avery: And so warm!
He laughs. He pulls out two stuffed bunnies, color coded as well.
Avery: Oh wow. No way.
Avery reaches in and pulls out two pairs of baby-sized Chuck Taylors.
Avery: Some nice shoes. They will be the best players on the court now, in the baby division.
He laughs, already making terrible dad jokes.
Avery: Thank you so much.
Avery heads over and hugs Aurora, and then he bro hugs it out with Damon.
Avery: Thank you so much everyone.
Damon: Don’t mention it. Gotta make sure the kids get off to a good start, right?
Aurora nods her head.
Aurora: Mmhmm…
Serenity moves over to Aurora as she hugs her.
Serenity: Thank you. Really thank all of you. This means a lot. You guys have no idea. For now though, the little ones are hungry, I think it’s time for cake.
She laughs, along with the others, as she goes to sit down, while Avery, and Damon starts cutting the cake, and passing it out. The scene cuts out on everyone eating it while talking.
