”Here we go, once again facing John Blade. Yet what can I say, hell I been on quite a losing streak myself? I know though I can beat Blade. I’m not going to sit here and build him up, make him out to be so great. Really all this is going to do is finally give me the win I been needing. Even if it is against someone like him. It’s still something right...I mean…. It should be right.
Alright, enough with the second-guessing, I know I can do this, I will win. I have the confidence to win. Nothing will stop me, more so some joke in John Blade. I’m done losing, I am not going to let myself end up like John Blade. I don’t care what others think, what they want to say. I am ready to turn things around, to show I am more than what people think I am. I know I can do it, I know this is needed to do. John, you can say, and think what you want, but in the end, I am making sure you are stuck on the ground pinned.”
OFF CAMERA
The scene opens up in Paris France, as Maria is sitting on her bed in the hotel room. She was looking at her phone, as she was looking at some pictures. They were of her, with her family. There was a picture of her, with her Mom from when she was only three years old. She shakes her head, as she looks at it. Things with her mother were not that great, never had been. In fact, she didn’t ever see her mom. Her mom and her brother lived in Mexico. She couldn’t even tell you when the last time has she ever seen her mom or cared to.
She moves from that picture to another one. It was her Dad, with her. Was when she graduated high school. He had surprised her by showing up right before the ceremony started. She didn’t think he was going to be able to show up because of an emergency at work. There he was. She was close to her Dad, but she had also lived with him, so that would explain it. Her Dad maybe had her moving a lot, but it was worth it, as they understood each other. They were able to talk about things, even if her Dad wasn’t around a whole lot.
She gets to another picture, as it is one from her childhood when she still was round her mom, and her brother Miguel. She was not close to him at all. If they talked or seen each other, it was mostly one-word responses to each other. Maria couldn’t even tell you when she ever had told him she loved him, and vice versa. She at times didn’t even acknowledge him as her brother. She just didn’t really see him as that. It might have been wrong, but it was just how it was.
She flips the pictures again, as it comes to her with a female. It was her cousin Selena Martinez. She was close with Selena, who was a cousin on her Dad’s side. She knew she wanted Mason to meet Selena one day, as she was one person who Maria really cared about. She smiles while she was looking at the picture. She was thinking when they got back from this tour, Mason and Selena could meet each other. She was starting to think how to go about it even.
She looks up, as she sees Mason walk into the room. She starts putting the pictures away. She was happy she had found Mason, as he meant the world to her. He made her happier compared to any other person. She just felt so comfortable with him, like she was meant for him, and he means for her. As she is smiling, she gets up, as she walks over to him, wrapping her arms around him, as she kisses him. The scene fades out on it.
