Location: Ryuji & Aiden's Apartment
Ryuji sits there on his couch watching his best friend Aiden play Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. While Aiden is super into it, Ryuji is sitting there with an indifferent look on his face. Ryuji looks around and at the apartment. Since getting a new job at WCG things have looked up for him and Aiden and they finally are able to afford things they couldn't before. Aiden pauses the game to grab a drink of his soda.
Aiden Watts:
Dude! This game is sick. You sure you don't wanna play?
Ryuji shakes his head in response not looking at Aiden. Aiden sighs and turns to his friend.
Aiden Watts:
Look dude, I know your still hung up over your match. You lost...so what? You can't win them all.
Ryuji snickers at Aiden and shakes his head in response.
Ryuji Takahashi:
It's not the fact that I lost. I can handle losing, and you know that.
Aiden Watts:
Ok then, so why are you so upset? You'll bounce back against that Kimo dude.
Aiden grabs the controller, but Ryuji grabs his hand to stop him.
Ryuji Takahashi:
I got humiliated out there Aiden. I lost yeah sure, that's fine, but then to have to come backstage and wash the paint off my face. To have people stare at me like that. I can tell you right now. That will never happen again.
Ryuji lets go of Aiden's hand and gets up off the couch. Aiden sits there for a moment before getting up and following him.
Aiden Watts:
Where are you going?
Ryuji Takahashi:
I'm going out for a jog. I need to clear my head.
Aiden Watts:
Look dude, don't let it get to you. I get humiliated all the time, it's not that bad.
Ryuji Takahashi:
But that's just it, I'm-
Aiden Watts:
You're what Ryu? You're better than me?
Ryuji stops and looks over at Aiden.
Ryuji Takahashi:
What? Where did that come from?
Aiden Watts:
That's what you were going to say wasn't?
Ryuji Takahashi:
No. Not even close. You've always been there to help me. So you're way more important than anyone.
Aiden smiles brightly at the response causing Ryuji to roll his eyes.
Ryuji Takahashi:
Look from now one. I need to be focused. I'm heading to Hollywood in a few days which is filled with distractions. I have to go in there and make a statement against Kimo. I'm not going to let anyone walk over me anymore, and I can promise you Nite Stalker will have to meet me again and when he does I'm going to end him.
Ryuji walks back out to the living room and looks over toward the doorway.
Ryuji Takahashi:
First things first though is Kimo. I don't know anything about him but, that only means I have to be even more on my guard. I need to bounce back but also show respect. Kimo is obviously good to get here and has talent, it's clear as day to see. I'm looking forward to our match up. I'm looking forward to seeing how we compare in the ring, but I have every intention of winning.
Clenching his fist Ryuji grabs the doorknob.
Ryuji Takahashi:
Aiden, it's time to step up my game!
Aiden Watts:
Uh huh.I'm sure it'll be fine man.
Aiden responds very uninterested as he's back on the couch playing the Switch. The scene fades to black as Ryuji jogs down the street with a smile on his face.
