We open on the interior of the sports bar, near an empty stage. The entire venue is devoid of humanity, save for a handful of people getting the place ready to open. The smell of sizzling beef hangs in the air, and the soft clattering of drinkware from the kitchen is broken by the sound of slow applause, accompanied by light footsteps across the tiled floor as Danielle Basch, the reigning South Bay Champion steps out from the hallway. She has the South Bay Championship strapped securely around her waist, peeking out from beneath a black leather jacket.
Danielle: Congratulations, Tasmin!
A smile dances across her face as she makes her way across the room to a round table that reaches just above her waist.
Danielle: That was one hell of an effort that you put forth in that scramble for the number one contendership for my South Bay Championship. Unfortunately, as hard as you’ve worked to win that match, there’s one thing I need to make abundantly clear....
As hard as you fought to win that match, I’ll be fighting harder to make sure that the South Bay Championship... MY title... stays right where it belongs, around my waist. Nothing against you and your ability, let me assure you. It’s just that there’s still a lot that I have to do as champion, so I’m not looking to pass the torch just yet.
She removes the belt from her waist, carefully arranging it on top of the table so that the center plate is facing the camera. She moves to stand behind the table, framing the belt with her arms as she grips either side of the table.
Danielle: At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if I think your boyfriend is the biggest human jizzbubble on the face of the planet. It doesn’t matter if I think you have what it takes to eventually see your name etched into professional wrestling history along with some of the best wrestlers in the business. The only thing that matters to me is whether or not you can keep up the momentum you started in the Scramble. Can you keep it going strong enough that when you face me at Unscripted you’ll be able to take my championship?
She grabs the championship belt and steps out from behind the table. Taking a few steps toward the camera, she holds the belt up in front of her, pointing at the center plate with her free hand.
Danielle: This is what it’s all about, Tasmin. This is what we’re fighting for. And if I have anything to say about it, Tasmin, you’ll be leaving Long Beach the same way you came in... WITHOUT my South Bay Championship. And believe me... I’ll have plenty to say when that bell rings. Until then...
Let's dance!
With a defiant look in her eyes, she looks at the championship in her hand, then turns back to the camera and smiles. The camera zooms in slowly on her face before the scene fades to black.
