++++++++++ ON CAMERA ++++++++++
Jason Hunter sits on the small balcony of his apartment, watching the rain cascade down as it has been for days now. He sits there with a whetstone in one hand and his knife in the other. He makes slow deliberate crosses, making sure to keep the same angle with every stroke of the blade. After a few more crosses, he puts the stone down, grabs a simple piece of paper and then runs the blade across it, cutting it straight across the middle. He nods as he gives the knife a quick once over with a simple white cloth, then puts it back inside it's sheath. He looks up to the camera, his expression still, emotionless, cold.
"I love that knife. I have had it for years and years, and it is still just as good as the day I bought it. Hell, it may be even better after my years of care and attention. It has taken off hides, cut through muscle, cartilage, even bone. It's been covered in blood and entrails, but you would never know it to look at it now. For all that I have put it through, one thing I have never done is used it on the same animal for a second time. It's pointless. If you can't get the job done right the first time you bring it out, you damn sure won't get it done the second time. As a hunter, you know that it's impossible to bag the same buck twice. Now, what does all of this have to do with West Coast Genesis and Unscripted? Well, it's pretty simple if you're not a complete moron. I'm using an analogy here. At Unscripted, i'm being told to do something I shouldn't have to do. I am being told that I have to bag the same buck twice. I am being told that my first pass wasn't good enough. I am being told to bring the knife back out, despite the fact that my field dressing of Melina Garrison was perfect the first time around."
Hunter looks down, shakes hos head slightly and takes a deep breath. He raises his head and a bit of emotion is finally shown as the frustration is clearly etches across his face.
"Melina, I listened to what you had to say recently. There were a lot of... we'll say interesting points. So now, I am going to explain why all of those were complete bullshit. First off tag matches mean shit when it comes to singles titles. I don't think I deserve a title show JUST because I beat you. I know I deserve a title shot because I beat you, I beat the current South Bay champion, and the only people that have wins against me in singles matches, is my girlfriend who took advantage of me hesitating, and the current champion who took advantage of you sticking your nose in my business. You sit there talking about respect after you make the ridiculous claim that I only won because of my height? I won because I'm the toughest son of a bitch on this entire roster. I won because I kicked your ass all over and around that ring. I won because when push came to shove, i showed that I am better than you. I gave you respect after that match because you did put up one hell of a fight. I am not going to sit here and say that it was an easy victory by any means. It was a very well earned victory though, and it is the reason I should be ahead of you in the rankings. If West Coast Genesis had tag team titles, and that's what this was all about, yea you would be ranked above me and deservedly so. This ain't about tag team titles though. This is about the West Coast Genesis Championship, a singles championship. When it comes to singles matches, you will be hard pressed to find anyone that has a better record than I do. So come Unscripted, even with the deck completely stacked against me, with a crowd that hates me, a referee that hates me, and a GM who hates me, I will go out there and do what I do best. I will go out there and beat you once again in one on one competition."
Jason stands up and just walks off, turning the camera away from himself to face the rain that comes pouring down as the scene slowly fades out.
