Packing up to take the trip back over to Europe only a couple of days after finding out that he and Serenity were having twins, Avery Miles III takes a few minutes out of his busy day to try and address his upcoming match with Konrad Raab. The home country of Konrad is where the match takes place, and Avery agreed to the match pulling himself out of the Global Cup. The decision was a no brainer for Avery as he knew he wanted to face his friend once again. They faced off in WWH with Avery picking up the win. As Avery loads the last couple bags into his truck ready to head towards the airport, he pulls his phone out and decides to record selfie style. Avery was wearing a plain black t-shirt and a pair of dark jeans, and some black boots. He was dressed for their drive to the airport in Atlanta.
Avery: Hello NGW. Hello Konrad. And hello to everyone watching this. Sunday is going to be a special match for me, I get to face off against a man that I faced months ago. A man that has become a friend of mine, and a man that I can respect in this industry. It has been some time since I have seen him, but from what I understand he has dropped some weight and has been changing up his game. You have got to respect that, it is not an easy thing to do. If I tried to step out of my comfort zone right now, it would be a hard transition into whatever I am trying to go for. I respect Konrad for what he has done, and this match will be that much more interesting. A great man that is trying to reinvent himself? I give kudos to that.
Avery sees Serenity carrying a bag as she comes out the front door. He sets the phone down on the roof of the truck as he hurries over to her. The cameras is pointed towards the ground but the sound of him walking on the gravel can be heard.
Avery: Don’t you be carrying that. I’ve got it, angel.
The camera jostles as he drops the bag in the bed of the truck. Avery picks the camera back up.
Avery: Sorry about that. Sometimes, husband duty calls. I am sure you know how that goes. And here lately, I need to step up. WIth Serenity being due in June with twins, we have a lot to get ready. She won’t be able to travel with me as much in the near future. That means more flights and more trips home. But I don’t mind. I would do anything for my girl.
Avery smiles, before returning back to his video.
Avery: I have found a new focus. A new calm. I know that I took away a huge opportunity with pulling out of the Global Cup. But I knew this match was something I wanted to do. My goal? WrestleForce is going to be a huge show for me this year. I want to make the show count for me as 2018 is my year to get things going away. 2016 was great, and 2017 was a let down. I am working myself back up to where I was, and I fully intend on not dropping the ball like I did. Everything has come together for me. My personal life. My professional life. By the end of the year, I will have a title around my waist. I have my mind set to it and I will do what it takes to make it come true. I know that I have some goals in mind; Keiji and I plan on doing well in the Tag Team Trials match. I want to do well at Battle for London after losing at Homecoming.
Serenity heads out of the house as she locks the front door. She heads down the stairs as she sees him filming.
Avery: I have an example to set for two little ones now. I need to be the best me that I can be. For Serenity. For AJ. For Journey. Things are going to change, but I won’t. I won’t change who I am. I won’t be the man I was last year when I lost my way. And I am making sure to show that with this match, Konrad. You and I are going into this match as friends and we will end it as friends. Win or loss, we both are going to shake hands. I am excited to see what we can do in Germany. It is going to be one hell of a show.
Avery looks over to Serenity.
Avery: You ready babe?
Serenity nods her head yes. She looks at him, as she was smiling.
Serenity: Of course I am ready. Are you? You’re not going to worry about things I am doing are you?
Avery: You know I am going to.
He smiles as he hurries over and opens the door for her.
Avery: After you.
Serenity: Just don’t do it when I am home, and you are overseas.
She looks at him, as she didn’t want it to distract him, as she sighs softly.
Serenity: Thank you.
Serenity hops up into the truck. He closes the door as he heads around the front of the truck.
Avery: Sunday in Germany. You and me, Konrad. Let’s show them how it is done.
He smirks as he opens the door on the driver’s side.
Avery: Ready to stop at my parent’s? And then Annie and Sawyer. Tell them the good news before we hit the road to Atlanta?
Serenity: Yeah I am. Hopefully they don’t give us any fuss on leaving. Never know with them and how excited they will be.
She laughs softly. Avery nods as he leans over and kisses her. He starts up the truck as they begin to back out of the driveway.
Avery: Germany, here we come!
