++++++++++ ON CAMERA ++++++++++
It sat there in front of him, broken in pieces and coated with blood. The paint had chipped and peeled, but he smiled as he looked down at it. For Jason Hunter, the special camo kendo stick that had been given to him by his mentor, it served as a reminder. Even in it's current state, it was beautiful and glorious to him. He sat there in the training ring of Matt Shields and just stared down at it. He seemed almost oblivious to the camera running in front of him. To him it could have been on less than ten seconds or an entire lifetime. He didn't care about the time spent in silence. He didn't care if people were being entertained. He cared about what was in front of him, what it meant to him, what it stood for, what it represented. After a few more seconds he looked up at the camera. He had a slight smile on his face as he looked straight ahead.
"No doubt all of you watching this, especially my opponent, are asking why I have this broken thing in front of me. Danielle is probably thinking I'm about to try and make some horribly lame comparison about how it is broken and soon she will be too. I guarantee you, I am not that cheesy or cliche. My name is Jason Hunter, not Donovan Basch."
His smile turns in to a bit of a smirk as he attempts to push the buttons of both his opponent and her husband.
"No, I have this here because it is a memento of my greatest triumph. See, the bruises have fades away. The cuts on my head, they've scarred over. The marks on my back, they've healed. This though, it's still covered in the blood of Melina Garrison. It still has my blood deep in the fibers of the wood. I look down at this broken weapon and I see everything I did to win that Texas Death Match. I look down at this broken weapon and I see everything I went through in order to win that Texas Death Match. I look down at this broken weapon and I see my greatest moment in West Coast Genesis. I look down at this broken weapon and I remember that nobody delivers like I do when it matters most. Believe me, this Saturday, it matters more than you could ever imagine."
He stops for a second and looks down at the kendo stick. He takes the end with the handle and holds it up. The edges are splintered and sharp.
"You can still see Melina's blood on this from her I jammed it into her skull. Crossroad Ascension was the night that everyone learned I am the most violent and sadistic man in all of West Coast Genesis. Crossroad Ascension was the night that everyone learned I am the toughest son of a bitch on this whole damn roster. Crossroad Ascension was the night that everyone learned they better be taking Jason Hunter seriously. Everyone it seems, except for you Danielle. You never even acknowledged what I did at Crossroad Ascension. When you did briefly speak about me in the lead up to our tag team match at Unscripted, you talked about a match i had with your husband months ago. You also conveniently left out the fact that Melina Garison stuck her nose in that match and that is the only reason your husband has a victory over me."
He stops again, gives an audible sigh and shakes his head. He sets the kendo stick back down and looks up once more.
"In your very brief statement towards me, you said my arrogance would be my undoing. I could say the same thing to you right now. What other reason is there for you to completely ignore me? Is is either arrogance or fear, and while fear would be the smart thing for you, I don't see you being scared of to much. So it has to be arrogance. You're sitting there thinking that since your husband beat me, you can beat me. You're sitting there thinking that because you won a tag team match against me and Tasmin, that means you can beat me one on one. You're sitting there thinking that since you're the South bay Champion, it makes you better than me. There is nobody better than me when the lights are shining bright. There is nobody better than me on the big shows. The A show, the big event, that's when you get the A game. That is when you get the absolute best Jason Hunter you will ever see."
Hunter stops and stand up, showing off his new shirt with the various names crossed out and the others still remaining, including Danielle Basch.
"That is a lesson that you will learn Saturday night, just like all of these people have. Just like Melina Garrison, you will learn that wins in tag team matches... they don't mean shit when it comes to singles matches. One on one, nobody has beaten me straight up. When it comes to one on one matches, only husband and my girlfriend can actually claim wins against me. We already covered that your husband only won because of the interference of Melina Garrison. Tasmin is the only person that can say she beat me on her own, but even then it was because I hesitated and she was smart enough to take advantage of that. I won't hesitate against you Danielle. I hesitated against Tasmin because I love her. You, I don't like in any way shape or form. Hell, I would say that I hate you and everything you stand for. You, your idiot husband, your horrible friends, I can't stand the whole damn lot of you. I already kicked Melina's ass, so you're the next one, and then I hope that your husband does beat Juliana for the title. That way, I can kick his ass next, avenge my loss and get what I deserve. It will be so nice to wind up with wins over husband and wife, as well as the West Coast and South Bay champions. Get ready for Saturday Danielle. Like all the others that have fallen at my feet, you will learn that there is no better Hunter than me."
Jason stares straight ahead at the camera, then raises his imaginary bow and fires off an arrow as everything fades to black.
