Bouncing back to the top. Stockton, California. Friday 9th February.
Today was certainly a great place for Shawn to go out as he does bring his own skateboard that he got as a Christmas present from his mother he'd yet to use. Of course, it fits Shawn's personality of being jumpy and excited about things. Although most people think Shawn must be down after he lost the Long Beach title against Adam Sanders, it didn't seem to affect him at all as he's down in the skatepark, doing various tricks on a half-pipe ramp.
He was never fond of using the street basic stuff laid out in the park as he didn't find grinding very exciting, but he knew he only, of course, fits the style of Shawn Young jumping on ramps with a skateboard, doing a lot of tricks that not many skateboards thought a wrestler could do, but Shawn could as he'd always loved watching Summer X Games each time it's on and it's natural for him to like anything that takes risks.
Which is why he loves wrestling because he's able to take risks and do things that he's not able to do in his personality nature of himself. It's still down to him being a nineteen-year-old kid who clearly wanted to have a lot of fun in the wrestling business and doesn't let losses get to him as much. He begins to speak after he stood on the ramp, taking his helmet off as he had the camera on there.
Shawn Young: "I know how wrestlers usually feel after a hard title loss like I got with feeling down in the dumps and bitching like a little girl, but how can I bitch about the match when I lost fair and square to a man I'm actually glad to have lost to, Adam Sanders. For one, I'm proud he beat me because on that night, he was the better man and I wish him all the best of luck in his title reign and so far, he's already successfully defended his title against Jack Wilde on the Unscripted show and I hope he continues his title reign."
Shawn wasn't like anybody people have seen when it comes to a former champion not being down in the dumps after a loss he had with Adam Sanders and he certainly wasn't feeling down with the loss he had against Izzy and his opponent who pinned Austen Blackwell in Unscripted, Remi Fontaine. He puts his helmet back on does more tricks on the halfpipe for a bit before he stops on top of the ramp to take his helmet off again and speaks.
Shawn Young: "I know it comes down to this match in a way as well as once again, I lost another match, but a tag match this time to a guy who's pinned my tag team partner, Remi Fontaine. I know what you can do my friend from what I've seen since you joined the roster and we're in the same age gap if you think about it, only you're just a few months younger than me.
I've never been viewed to face anybody older than me before and that's a nice change for once. Maybe I'm an excitable and happy wrestler, but I know you've had a tough time since you joined before the tag match. Of course you've defeated Izzy Rocks by yourself on Unscripted a couple of shows ago, but I also know you've lost against CJ Lorson and Izzy Rocks recently before the tag team loss, but I never saw you get down on the losses dude which isn't an easy thing to get over, heck I'm in that same situation myself right now with three losses in the row."
He places his helmet on to do more skating and doing a lot of tricks that involve a lot of twists and turns on the board, shouting whoo hoo just from pure enjoyment of being himself, but he knew he couldn't leave things half done as he stops skating and takes a seat on the ramp, drinking some water before taking his helmet off to speak again.
Shawn Young: "While I admire the advice you gave out to Izzy last time on not letting negativity get to them, but sometimes, some wrestlers take a little time to get over losses. Me? I never got down once about my losses because I do things to make me move on from losses quickly like jumping in pools, jumping on the trampoline, doing bungee jumping and most of all here today, jumping on my skateboard. It's doing those things along with using the losses to grow to do a lot of training in the ring to get better that I never ever get down on losses, especially the one against Adam Sanders as I've mentioned earlier.
It's a nice story you told of your auntie picking herself back up from losses after losses to a point she'd won a title in another EWO, a company I might add that kick-started my wrestling career and the only time until I came here I lost a match was against a guy called Outlaw for the EWO Underground title. So basically you're facing against a guy who's coming off a three-loss streak and still is keeping his head high to face you tomorrow night."
Shawn hadn't gone into much details of his opponent's wrestling ability as he usually talks about that first, but at the same time, he needed to make a point of what Remi said in his last video he did and he continues to speak after taking a quick breather.
Shawn Young: "You have a lot of potential to be a champion someday in WCG and are extremely talented in the ring which of course, you would be with wrestling being in your blood due to family being in the business, but I've had to claw my way to even get in this business. Everyone knows the story of me being kicked out of a wrestling school due to my size, but it was my mentor Konrad Raab who saved my wrestling career going down the drain because he cares so much about this business, heck he's mentored some of the best wrestlers in this business, some I found out about a few months ago, heck he recently brought in a couple of wrestlers to mentor as well cos he loves and has passion for this business.
I also see it with you on the passion you have for this business, otherwise, of course, you wouldn't be as successful as you feel you aren't. I also don't think you're underrated at all, especially when you're facing against a former Long Beach champion so you obviously have what it takes to compete against me, even before you defeated me and Austen in the tag match. You deserve to face me and you deserve to have a top quality match, tearing the house down for the fans to bring everything you got because I certainly will."
He has nearly finished what he's got to say about the match as he puts his helmet on and does a few more tricks on the board once again after having quite a long break from skating as he wanted to show how much he easily gets distracted from things that usually get some wrestlers bothered, but Shawn was proving to have a very strong mindset for the business when it came down to a loss as he stops to take his helmet off and looks directly at the camera and speaks for the last time.
Shawn Young: "That's why I'm here skating today because you bounce on a board to get to the top again once you done it the first time, same with wrestling that I'm aiming to bounce myself back to the top and doing everything to defeat you in the match because I need to win and I'm gonna do it against a talented guy who will no longer be underrated to the WCG locker room or to the fans as Remi Fontaine after this match is over because the whole world will know who you are and what you can do in the ring, but while you'll be very well known after this match regardless when you lose, I will still be winning the match by pinfall because I need to win this match tomorrow night here in Stockton, California on bouncing back to the top Young Hit Wonder style. See you in the ring and may the best man win."
Shawn finishes up his video as he spends two more hours at the skatepark where a few other skaters join with Shawn to pull some tricks. After he's finished, he manages to sign autographs with the skaters and have pictures taken with them before Shawn heads back to the hotel to get a couple more hours of gym work done before he goes to his hotel room to rest for the entire day before the big match against Remi Fontaine tomorrow night.

tagged; Remi Fortaine.
notes; Very unusual for me to get this RP done I know, but I got three more RP's to do during the week and focusing all on the Trios Tournament RP in SCW next week on top of my partner being over on Saturday for a week, but I made time to do the Konrad Raab RP for NGW on Saturday night after my partner goes home. Anyway I wish the handler all the best of luck and may the best RPer win.
