Scotty Latimer is sitting inside the locker room of the PalaLottomatica in Rome, Italy….the site of Dissension as NGW was continuing their European tour.which Scotty was not a fan of doing. Especially this weekend. He had struggled since Friday knowing that his girlfriend had one of the biggest matches in her career and that he wouldn’t be there to watch it. He wouldn’t be there to celebrate it if she would have won or help her through a loss if it didn’t happen. We all know who his girlfriend is….you know the champion of the year in West Coast Genesis? The one NGW management let walk away? Yet you allow some chick banging Mason Moore to get a roster spot and a push…..
Scotty was watching the Empire Pro Wrestling/Liberty Pro Wrestling co produced show from the previous night. He was watching the battle royal that his girlfriend was putting on the performance of her life in. She had made it to the final two! Scotty started getting excited as he could feel her about to become the first ever Can-Am champion. He kept watching waiting for that final elimination then……
She got eliminated.
Scotty: GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!
Scotty jumps to his feet and slams his phone down. He stands there with his hands on his hips as he looks frustratingly ahead. He knew how bad she wanted that…..he wanted it as bad for her as she did. However after a few seconds he realized how great she did in that match. It was a who’s who of talent in that match and she had nothing to be ashamed of….but still….he wanted her to get that title.
Scotty picks his phone up and texts her on how proud he was of her...how much he loved her….and that he would see her in Cleveland on Monday. He then sits his phone back next to him on the bench and starts twiddling his thumbs a little as he sat there recollecting about everything that has gone on with him in NGW. How important he wanted this Young Lions title reign to be because he wanted to show respect to the former champion by equaling her impressive reign. Yet...here he was in Rome….in a meaningless match against a great competitor…..Why wasn’t this a title match?
Scotty grabbed the belt out of his locker and looks at it. The silver gleamed in the light that was above his head in the modern arena just down the street from the Coliseum that Mason Moore just cut a promo from forever tarnishing one of the great historical wonders of the world. Sorry Mason…..gladiators that fought there didn’t have PED’s available to them….they were real warriors. You are fare from it protein boy. Hmmm….wonder how Maria Valdez deals with the shrinkage...
This needed to be a title match. Rome deserved to have a title match on this card and Scotty wanted to be a fighting champion. He keeps looking at the title belt as he nodded his head. He gave Devlin Scott a phone call.
Scotty: Hey Boss….it's Scotty...yeah...I want this to be a title match. Why? Because I’ve held this damn belt almost two months now and I want to be a fighting champion. I don’t want to be like Jack Tillman that never defends his belt but allows Chris Constantine to talk about what a great champion he is. I mean shit when was the last time Kayla Richards defended her title> This is a European tour….these fans a deserve title matches.
Scotty listens to Devlin for a few seconds as he shakes his head. He was getting the whole don’t tell me how to book my show treatment but then Devlin stopped apparently.
Scotty: You there? Oh….ok….it's a title match now. Good. Yeah Damon Graves now has a great opportunity I agree. Well if he does he deserves it. Thanks boss.
Scotty clicks end on the call as he sees a text message from his girlfriend in reply to the one he sent her. He just smiles as he also received a photo from his that five feet of gorgeous Phoenix as he sits the phone back down. He again grabs his Young Lions title as he sits the phone onto the top shelf of his locker and starts to record a video.
So hello NGW fans...your Young Lions champion is here live from Rome, Italy. I just got off the phone with NGW management and for all of you great Italian fans coming out to the PalaLottomatica tonight I am happy to announce that my match with Damon Graves that was a non title match is now a title match. So tonight kids Scotty Latimer vs Damon Graves for the Young Lions championship. It's going to be a tremendous show and I can promise you that me and Graves will do what we can to put on the match of the night for you guys and gals.
Scotty grabs the YL title belt and holds it to where the camera can see it.
So now I have to focus on defending this for the first time. This was something I had been chasing ever since I got called up to NGW. IT took a while but I finally got it, and I had to defeat one of the greatest champions in this company’s history to obtain it. So sorry...Damon….you are a great wrestler….but there is no way in my first title defense I am going to lose this to you. You are getting that opportunity to take it from me...and according to your responses on Twitter from the announcement this is a title match you want this title badly. You are just going to wait a little longer sadly. I like you Damon,....you are a talented wrestler and I hope that we have a match of the year candidate tonight in Rome. But this is my belt….I worked my ass off to get it...and you won’t take it away from me after I just got it. See you tonight Graves...and see all of you fans as well.
