Standing backstage inside the arena, Kaylee Kassie stands alone as she is dressed in street clothes. She is wearing a Rolling Stones t-shirt, a pair of faded denim jeans, and a pair of black boots. He hair is pinned up and she it sitting on the edge of a long bench.
“Coming back was a decision that I did not take lightly. I had a cushy job in West Coast Genesis running the show. Devlin Scott gave me free reign to do as I saw, and I did so. Under my reign, we saw some of the best champions that the company has to offer. And now, I leave it to Mercedes Carter to run the show while I pursue the bug that has been itching at me. I was taken out by the Black Light District and injured some time ago. I was physically better when I entered last year’s All Female Invitational. Getting past the first round was amazing, before I lost in the second round. But that little taste of things really put the bug back into me. It put it into my head that I wanted to do this again. I made it known to Devlin. I discussed it with Josh. And here we are. Radicalliance 2.0 and I am officially part of the team. It is true that Ronnie and I did not win two weeks ago and came up short, but we have a chance to take on the Tag Team Champs in this handicap match to make somewhat of a statement. Taking on both Matt Shields and Jack Tillman is going to be an experience. More so with Shields, as we hold some history.”
She smirks as she looks at the camera.
“I can remember a little Spotlight Championship that happened to not reach your hands, Shields. The same title that I held… twice. Now I know that you have lead Redemption Wrestling before the rebrand* with it’s top title, but that little title has to still sting. No? Well it looks like you can try to get a little bit of revenge yourself or… you can show just what most people think you are.. A loser.”
She stops herself before going too much further. She was trying to be a better version of herself for Josh, and moving away from her mean spirited talks.
“I have to give it to you, after dumping that elephant back in IPW you seem to have done well for yourself. Congrats on what you’ve done for yourself.”
She offers a slight shrug.
“And Jack Tillman. A man that believes people that are not true athletes are beneath him. I wonder what he will think of me? A former two-time champion. And someone that can put people down with her kicks. Don’t worry, I am far from a blonde bimbo that thinks her kicks are so dangerous.”
She rolls her eyes.
“I did not book this match, but it is what it is. We have the numbers, but we know that there is a history of The Destroyers going out of there way to put in a fix. We won’t allow that to happen. And those hot potato tag team belts? We have a great place for those to rest in our possession.”
