The scene opens up with a book cover. On the book cover is a picture of Melina Garrison, along with Ryuji Takashi. As the camera is focused on it, the front page opens, as a voice-over starts playing.
Welcome everyone to storytime. Not just any story, but a story of friendship, and love. A story of two wrestlers just starting out in wrestling, and their lives over three years.Our story begins in January of 2015, a bright young female by the name of Melina Wilson was getting her start, and had just signed to a company. Little did she know her first day there she would meet someone who would make an impact on her life. She would meet Ryuji Takashi.
The page shows Ryuji and Melina in the arenas cafeteria. There are four other people there with them, one even being former NGW wrestler Alice. The page flips again, as the next page shows a big scuffle happening between the six wrestlers.
What they didn't know was a change being at the same place at the same time would lead to a scuffle with four others, an accidental boob grab by Ryuji on Melina, and an announcement that they would team up on the next show would happen.
The page flips again, as it's now showing the two in the ring as partners.
Little did they know the tag team would end up being not a one-time thing, but they would become an actual tag team, and friends. Almost best friends even. That friendship would blossom into them dating. They were happy, even if their careers weren't as great, they least had each other, and was happy. Even once the company closed, they would end up still together. They would even find a new edition to their family in the form of their adopted son Tamaki.
The page flips again. On this page, it shows Ryuji and Melina with their bouncing baby boy Tamaki. They were full of smiles. They seemed to be deep in love in the picture, and happy.
Soon they would find work again in another company. The only difference was they would also learn to stand on their own feet in matches, as they would experience singles competition. Melina was doing quite well, while Ryuji wasn't doing as great. Through it all, they were still happy. In fact so happy they even got engaged.
The page flips again, as this one show Ryuji asking Melina to marry him. It was showing a close up of the ring.
Sadly once again, the company they were in would close. It was okay though, as they had money saved up. Plus they found out some amazing news, as they found out Melina was pregnant. They couldn't have been any more excited about it. As it would seem in their story, tragedy would strike again, in more than one way. They had started to drift apart, as they were hardly spending time together. They had sadly fallen out of love. Melina would start falling for someone, a friend of hers. Their lives would hit an all-time low, as Melina would end up in a car accident on her way over to her friends, and lose their baby. They would have a talk, as they would decide it was better if they split up.
The page turns as it shows Melina in a hospital bed, as she was sad, while Ryuji was sitting next to the bed looking down, sad as well.
Over the next year, Ryuji would find love again, even have another kid, but once again his career was hit badly. Melina on the other hand, she would get engaged to one guy, have his kid, end up splitting up from him right after finding out she was pregnant. She would eventually meet and marry the owner of the company Ryuji would sign with. Sadly she couldn't be happy, as right before she was to start her comeback, tragedy would hit her again. Her son would sadly die from SIDs.
The page would turn, as this time it showed the page split in half. On one side was Melina, as she was down, sad, and upset. On the other side, it would show Ryuji, as he was with his daughter, and fiancee, happy as can be.
After her son died, Melina would move clear across the US to LA, where she would end up meeting her husband AJ, and sign with WCG. She was finally starting to have the life she always wanted, one of happiness. Even more so once Ryuji, Jessa, and their daughter moved to LA as well.
The page turns, as it shows both families happy, Tamaki on both sides as well.
Melina would rise to become The Elite Female, while she would end up helping Ryuji out. Thanks to his best friend, she would help Ryuji get signed to WCG as well. Only she would go one step further. She would find a way to convince the General Manager to book Ryuji, vs Melina in Ryuji's first match. A match that is three years in the making. Who will win? That remians to be the question, the answer is you have to tune in to find out.
