Scotty is standing on the balcony of a hotel overlooking the city. It's daylight and he is sipping on a cup of coffee. The NGW crew is there chronicling a daily activity of the new Young Lions champion who recently defeated one of the greatest champions in company history Coda.
Latimer turns around and tips his cup up acknowledging the camera.
Latimer: I'm not going to take up to much time here because this is one of the greatest cities on Earth and I want to spend my time with the greatest woman on Earth. I assume you all want to know what I feel being the Young Lions champion now. How do I feel about the ovation I received and all that.
Scotty walks over and picks up the championship belt. He strokes the front plate with two fingers.
Latimer: I have a simple answer for that. It was one of the greatest moments I've ever experienced. My career is finally on track in my mind. I m doing everything my own way. And I am going to say something no one expected me to say….thank you Mason Moore and Alan Envy.
Latimer laughs as he picks the belt up and throws it over his shoulder.
Latimer: You two made all of this possible. Now let me explain….when you two stabbed me in the back I was devastated. Hell….I didn't even know if I could go on in this business. I was so afraid that my career wouldn't be as hot as it was before and I was more than ready to sit back and watch Ruby become even more successful than she already is. I didn't want to be her tag a long washed up boyfriend…..she deserves way more than that. So when I was about ready to walk out against Coda I had my doubts. But when that crowd popped for me? They showed they supported me. It fired me up...and then I went out and beat one of the greats in this business. So thank you guys….not only do I still have revenge to get on you two bastards for what you both did to the love of my life and I. But now I have the utmost confidence and support for that to happen.
Scotty taps the title belt.
Latimer: But there's a time and place for that at another time. Trust me though boys….it's coming soon….but first my priority is to be a champion that can one day hold up a candle to the reign of this titles previous owner. So that brings me to you Levi Adams. You are a newcomer to NGW and you draw a champion your first match. That means people see special things in you as a part of this roster. I look forward to our match in Madrid tonight. You are a hell of a talent and a wrestler….but I'm the NGW Young Lions Champion. And you drew me at the wrong place at the wrong time. The lights will be on...the crowd hot…..let's see what you got.
Latimer smiles as he sits the title down.
