The scene opens up inside of a bar, as the door opens up. In walks
Brandy Cognac. She was wearing a skirt that was tight to her legs,
along with a tank top that was tight as well. She scans the bar scene,
as she was looking for someone. She was a bit nervous, as she wasn’t
sure what was going to happen.
KEG is sitting at his favorite spot in any bar, directly in front of
the bartender. He sees Brandy as she strolls in from his peripheral,
and he turns a little more on his bar stool and motions her over. She
takes her time as she walks over, giving KEG plenty of time to catch a
glimpse of some other patrons checking her out on her way over.
“Hey Bran, what’s crackin’? Long time no see.”
KEG says as he takes a
long drink of the ice cold mug of beer in front of him.
“Yeah it is Keg. It’s about time you popped up again actually.”
She takes a seat on the stool next to him. She looks at the bartender,
as he brings her over a bottle, along with pouring her a shot of
brandy.
“You know, I’m just doing same thing as always, drinking, and not
paying others any attention.”
KEG smirks over at Brandy and nods his head in agreement.
“I hear ya, just like it was when we were together.”
KEG chuckles and waves the comment off with a free hand.
“Where are you hanging your hat at now? Are you still in the wrestling
business or just hanging out? I don’t know if you heard, but I’m
making my way back to NGW.”
Brandy shakes her head.
“Yeah when we were together… the past.”
Brandy looks at him, as she had heard he was.
“Not wrestling, kind of wanted to forget it after everything. Never
know, I could be in talks of something soon. Aren’t you also going
into NGW’s Hall of Fame?”
KEG nods his head and returns her stare as he swirls the beer around
in his glass and takes another drink.
“I understand you not wanting to wrestle, especially after everything
that went down. We have a history, a troubled one at that, but it is
what it is.”
Another drink, this time draining the glass empty. KEG slams it down
and motions for two more.
“I hear that I will be going into the Hall of Fame; that’s what they
tell me. I know that I’m not exactly a Hall of Fame kind of guy. I
don’t look the part, I don’t act the part, but I’m okay with it. In
fact, that’s part of the reason why I decided to make my return to
NGW.”
He pauses his thoughts as the bartender places two drinks on the bar,
one in front of each of them. KEG nods in appreciation at the
bartender and grabs the mug’s handle.
“I decided to return to NGW, because I didn’t want my “legacy” to be
one of a guy who just faded away. I don’t want that to be the last
thing people think of when they think about my career. If I’m going to
do anything of substance, it’s going to be this year. My body is
broken down and I can’t say I have two years left in me. So if I want
to win those tag titles and the World Title, I’ll have to double my
efforts.”
KEG shrugs his shoulders, takes a long drink and then chuckles to himself.
“Or I could blow it all to hell and drink myself to death. Either way
sounds like one hell of a way to go out.”
“You need a partner to get tag titles though dear. Maybe you should
think of that.”
She shakes her head.
“Just a shame NGW is full. I already checked. Our past is troubled,
but don't mean we couldn't go for tag gold, or make it less troubled.”
She shrugs her shoulders, before grabbing her mug of beer, taking a
drink of it. She sets it down.
“Blowing it to hell, doesn't sound fun at all, drinking does, but one
thing….do you want to do it alone?”
KEG eyes her for a moment.
“I never enjoy drinking alone, Brandy.”
He now pushes his mug to the center of the counter.
“Tag Gold sounds really good, I think it would be fun to give it a
try, just because we’ve never teamed up with one another. We’ve
usually just been each other’s manager and valet outside of the ring.
We should give that a try once NGW has a few openings.”
“But we will see. In the meantime, feel free to drink up. I need to go
hit the gym, but feel free to drink up. I’ll pick up the tab.”
KEG stands up and pats the top of Brandy’s hand with a smile.
“Next time, let’s meet at Fuddrucker’s, I hear they have some great
hamburgers. You can buy.”
He chuckles and then takes a few steps away before turning around.
“See ya round, Brandy. It was really good to see you.”
KEG now walks out of the bar, the chilly wind catching his jacket as
he pulls the door shut behind him. He strolls out and walks down the
sidewalk as night falls outside.
