$$$$$ ON CAMERA $$$$$
January 4th, 2018 8:42 PM
Milwaukee Mayhem Training Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Mason Moore busied himself, prepping the workout schedule for tomorrows morning pre game session. He had been left alone so he could get in a workout of his own after running the ladies through their paces. Now he sat on a simple weight bench, dressed in simple black workout pants, and a MAYHEM shirt with a towel draped over his hand. He had his Spotlight title on the ground, and left it there as he grabbed his phone setting it down in front of his water bottle. He angled it up and made sure the shot was centered, then started recording. He looked straight down at the camera for a few seconds, then picked up the Spotlight title and slowly raised it up. The championship filled the camera for a bit, then he pulled it back and placed it on his shoulder.
"Do you all see this title on my shoulder? This is the title that I made history with. A few days ago, I surpassed the record for the longest title reign. I have now officially held this title longer than anyone else. Whether it was known as the Marquee title, the Genesis title or the IPW Spotlight title, nobody held it for as long as I have. That isn't the only history that I have made though. No, I also now have more recorded title defenses than any other champion in the history of this entire company. Notice that I said any champion, not just any Marquee or Genesis or Spotlight champion. No other champion, weather it be Heavyweight, Tag Team, Young Lions, New Generation, Five Lakes, or any other titles, managed more successful defenses than myself. That is why I am a finalist for the greatest champion award."
Mason looks down at the title for a few seconds and smiles as he catches his reflection.
"Of course nobody is talking about that. Nobody is talking about my history making run, Nobody is talking about my record breaking reign. Nope. The only thing I have heard for the last two weeks is that I made this title into a joke. I keep hearing people say that I disrespected this title and everything it stands for. One douchebag even said that I had besmirched the good name of this title. Well, I have this to say to all of you who have a problem with what I did at the last Dissension. TOO DAMN BAD! Not a damn one of you piped up when Jack Tillman used his slimy sneaky manager to help him beat me in a title match. None of you had anything negative to say when Trixie pulled the titles to win herself a title. You assholes didn't say one word when Blair Kivisto used brass knuckles on me to get herself disqualified so she could make sure she kept the title. So why now then? Why am i the bad guy?"
Mason stares down at the camera , then just shakes his head as he shrugs his shoulders.
"What did I really do that was so so terrible? I chose to not hurt my girlfriend and found a way to where neither one of us would really have to lose. She got a win, I retained the title. Maybe it wasn't the best match ever, but if you want to blame anyone for that, go and blame Devlin Scott. He showed what little respect he has for me when he randomly added Daisy Rose into a title match. Hell, why were none of you people mad about her weaseling her way into a title match that she hadn't done a damn thing to earn? Still, she snuck into that title match, made it a triple threat, and I still walked out as the winner. Yet, she gets another opportunity handed to her when she's placed in a match against another person that I had already defeated in a Spotlight championship match. It's amazing how some people just get handed these opportunities. They weren't on the winning Warfare team, so I'm not sure why they were the two most worthy challengers."
Mason looks over at the title again, then smirks as he brings it back and lets it hang in front of the camera as he continues talking.
"I guess I have gone through almost everyone in the rankings. The only options they had for people that I haven't bat in a one on one match, was Alicia Hixx or Martin Karloff, and it's not exactly like either of them are worthy of a shot. So, I'll just walk out to that ring on Sunday night, beat Daisy Rose and continue on my history making reign. I've already broken the defenses record, so now I just need to break the days record. Daisy Rose wants to deprive me of that, but I will not give her the satisfaction. Only thing I'll be giving her is a very well placed boot right to the face. Sunday Night, I will step in to that ring with Daisy Rose and I will prove to all of you idiots and especially her, that I am no joke. I will prove that I am the greatest champion that this company has. I will prove that I am the man to fear in this company. I will continue to make history, and there is not a damn thing that any of you assholes can do about it. I will continue my reign and record my seventh successful title defense, and there is not a damn thing that Daisy Rose can do about. I'm done wondering why I'm the the bad guy to you people. That's what you want to paint me as, well I am more than happy to embrace it. Just remember this when Daisy Rose is in the middle of the ring, staring up at the lights wondering when the hell the EMT's are gonna get down to the ring, it is all your fault."
Mason raises the title high over his head as he stands up and stares straight down at the camera. He holds for a few seconds, then slowly lowers his foot down, causing everything to go black.
