Why I am Doing This

The scene opens up inside of Daisy, and RC’s living room, as Daisy is sitting on the living room floor, as she is wrapping presents. She gets done wrapping a package, as she puts a bow on it, and marks it for Avery, and Serenity. Daisy smiles, as she thinks for a few minutes while looking at the package. She would start to talk.

"You know this business, you never know what is going to happen. I showed that just two weeks ago when my sister Coral showed up as part of Team AA in Warfare. Nobody was expecting that. It did cause a lot of problems, which hopefully is all worked out. I haven't talked to her about it to know for sure, or not. I know she has been busy with her upcoming match, which is more important right now. Still like I said, you never know what will happen. I didn't think it would be Avery vs me to see who faces Mason at Homecoming, but here we are. Am I thrilled about this? No, I am not."

She sighs softly.

"I know you want to get your hands on Mason, as much as I do Avery, but that's it I need to finish this, I need this chance to face meathead, and show him that he can not, will not pin me. That this will not end till I get the win on him. This is more than even just beating Mason. I need this title, I need it to prove I can be a champion, a singles champion. You at least can say you have titles, and not considered just a tag team wrestler. You don’t have to sit, and have people look down on you, look at you as one thing. You may have things to prove, but this here, this means more, than what you have to prove."

She sets the gift to the side.

"We might be friends Avery, but in the ring, friendship is out the window. I’m sure you understand that. I though won’t pull any of the bullshit some of the others have pulled, but I will give me all to win. I will bring my best, so I can beat you. I will do it all in a respectful way, but will not hold back just because you are a friend. You I am sure will feel the same way. If not, well that will be a shame I expect you to give me your own, do not hold back at all."

Before she says anything else, she looks up as she sees RC come into the room carrying Kathleen, their little Princess. She smiles as she looks at them. RC hands Kathleen over to Daisy.

"You see Avery, this is another reason I need to win this match, and go on to win the title. For Kathleen, to show her that you can do anything you put your mind to. You will really understand it once your little one is born. You may even understand it now, who knows. Just know this little girl is why I am doing this, why I will not stop till I beat you, and go on to beat Mason, and win the title. I am sure others will take this as me trying to pull sympathy or some mind game, but it is far from that. This is just me telling the truth. This is just me telling you exactly why I am not going to let you win."

Daisy smiles, as she looks down at Kathleen, before up at RC.

"Sometimes Avery you need to beat friends, because you want to be something more for your family, want to be your best for them. Again more things you will learn when your little one is born, or maybe even now. The thing is though, the need for me to do this is greater than it is for you, as my Princess is here now. She may not understand now, but she will one day. I am the best role model for her as far as females go. Just like if you have a female, it would be Serenity, not you. If it’s male, sure it will be you.

Don’t take any of what I am saying as insults, or any negative, or anything. It’s just me talking, and telling you why I need this win. It is not to go against our friendship or anything. Just me opening up is all this is. Right now, against you, is the right time for it. I can’t do this when it comes to facing Meathead, or anyone else. Most don’t have kids or expecting kids, most aren’t friends or allies. You though, you will understand, if you don’t already. Only you can tell for sure, or know for sure really."

She shrugs her shoulders, as she looks down at Kathleen again.

"Don’t worry Princess, Mommy will win against Avery, and will go on to win the Spotlight Title, and she will be doing it all for you. I will show you that anything you put your mind to, you will succeed at it, just like Mommy does, and will keep doing."

She smiles, as Kathleen wiggles her arms a bit, as Daisy looks up at RC.

"You know this might be the hardest match for me since being back. Facing Mason, and Jason was hard, the Warfare match was hard, but this is hard, as I will be facing a friend. Someone who is married to Serenity. Only thing I think would be harder is if I faced you my love."

RC sits down next to them.

"Don’t think about facing a friend, think of it as just another match."

"I know, I should, just still you know how it is. I will more likely not be able to think of that till it is time for the match."

"Just relax, and not think about it till then. For now, let's finish wrapping presents."


Daisy nods her head, as she smiles. She watches as RC picks up more wrapping paper so he can start wrapping as the scene fades out.
