Matt Shields sits on his black throne, dressed simply in a pair of distressed jeans and a Destroyer's t-shirt, the NGW Tag Team Title laying at his feet as he looks at the camera with an almost bored look etched on his face.
"That's what all of you are expecting, right? You're just waiting for me to rant about the Warfare match. All of you are just hoping that I'm gonna cry and whine about what happened in that match. Well, too fucking bad. I'm not gonna do any of that. If I did, it would be completely justified. Just as I predicted, the moment the bell rang, the other three groups all decided to gang up on the lone Destroyer in the match. Well, I'm sure they didn't just decide it at that moment. No doubt that was collusion and planning. That entire match was really just a way to try and hurt The Destroyers. Ultimately, we still have almost every single title and all the power in this place. All those other groups did was piss us off and prove that they're nothing more than jealous cowards. Is a sudden three on one attack, really something to brag about? That was the only reason they were able to eliminate Jack Tillman. It wasn't skill or talent, it was a blindside attack from three people."
Matt shakes his head as he holds up three fingers on his right hand, then raises his left with one. He quickly changes to two raised middle fingers as he rolls his eyes.
"If I was going to sit here and complain about the warfare match, clearly that is more than enough justification. If it wasn't, I also have the fact that Coda was attacked by five different people. No one single guardian or horsethief or team ragtag member was capable of eliminating the Korean Murder Princess on their own. The eliminations of every Destroyer, were complete shams and were not the work of one individual, but a collection of assholes and cowards. Now I'm sure Adrien Cochrane will brag about eliminating myself and Kayla, single handedly. He's that much of an arrogant prick that he won't even acknowledge the fact that we were forced to fight off everyone else in that match and he simply benefited from us being nearly exhausted. I'm sure that the bastard will welch on our bet as well. Probably say something like 'well it was just payback for everything the destroyers have done'. That's what people like Adrien Cochrane do. They commit these horrible acts, and then try and act like it was some form of noble payback. I do what I do, The Destroyers do what we do, for a clear reason. It is all about power for us, and we will admit that. It's the difference between people like us and people like Adrien. It's the reason I have this right now."
Matt picks up the NGW Tag Team Title off the floor, holds it up towards the camera for a few seconds, then tosses it back down.
"And his little Guardians are trying to take it. Adrien Cochrane is no hero, and his actions show that. In fact, he is the exact opposite of everything he claims to be. Adrien Cochrane is the villain of this story. He is a glory hound. He has coveted what other people have earned, since his first day in this company. He uses his followers for his own gain, and doesn't actually care about them. Look at how quickly he replaced Alechs Aurellio. Look at how he replaced Honey in the Warfare match. Clearly he thought she was too weak to be in a match of that nature. He replaced her with another small naive blonde who thinks she's a super hero. Or wait, is Jessica his replacement for Stacy? I guess it's good to know that he has a specific type. If she wasn't the replacement for Honey, then I guess Goldstein was? The guy who had spent the last month or so, definitely not living up to those values that the Guardians claim to have. It makes sense when you realize that it isn't actually about values and beliefs though. It's all about helping Adrien Cochrane win matches as he tries to take the title for himself. That's what the Guardians are really about. The things he accuses myself and The Destroyers of. I'll admit that The Destroyers have helped each other in matches, and we've attacked our fair number of people before, but it was always done for the good of The Destroyers."
Matt stops and just points at the symbol on his shirt.
"This, it means something to me. It means something to all of us, and even if those idiot fans won't admit it, they know that this symbol is synonymous with greatness. It's why we hold the Heavyweight title, The Five Lakes Title, The Young Lions Title, and the Tag Team Titles. It's why any combination of The Destroyers, is just as dangerous as any other. Whether it's the technical prowess of myself and Jack, the quick strike ability of Kayla and Coda, the submission expertise of Coda and Jack, the heavy hits of myself and Coda or the sheer brutality of myself and Kayla, you can put any combination together and we are unstoppable. On Christmas Eve, Adrien Cochrane and his new idiotic blonde wannabe superhero, they'll learn that first hand. This time, they don't have the benefit of other people attacking us before we face off. This time, they don't have the benefit of other teams weakening us before we face off. This time, they don't have the benefit of us having to get rid of other people and leaving ourselves tired, before we face off. This time, they will see exactly why we are the very best wrestlers in this company. This time, they will learn exactly why we are the most dangerous wrestlers on this plant. This time, they will fall before the most powerful couple to ever step inside a ring. This time, the guardians fall before The Destroyers."
