Off Camera - Caffè somewhere on the west coast
Iphigenia Medrapedes sits at a table, the seat across from her noticeably vacant. The Greek Grappler slowly sips on her coffee, making a bit of a sour face at the bitterness of her drink. A moment passes, and a slightly older gentleman approaches her table, and stands across from Iphy, who motions for him to have a seat.
Jason: Ma’am, you wanted to talk?
Iphigenia let's her eyes trace up and down Jason, partly out of instinct, partly out of intrigue.
Iphigenia: Yes, Mr. Bishop, I did. A friend of mine, Honey, said you were currently looking to manage wrestlers. And, as I am currently without management, I thought we could come to an arrangement. But, I'd like to get to know you first, I don't fancy blindly entering a partnership, especially with someone I know next to nothing about.
Jason leans back in his chair, Iphigenia’s words rolling around in his head. He takes a moment to process what was said, before leaning forward, and meeting her intense gaze.
Jason: Fair enough, what would you like to know?
Iphigenia: About you, I want to know what kind of a person you are. You don't have any clientele, this I know, there has to be a reason.
Jason: That's simple really, I'm new to this. Not a whole lot of folks want to take a chance on someone as inexperienced as myself.
Iphigenia raises an eyebrow, and takes another sip. Her face doesn't change, she has gotten used to the bitter beverage.
Iphigenia: Honesty, that is a good start. Most people in your shoes would have made a poor excuse, and worse yet expected me to believe it.
Jason: Look, Miss Medrapedes, I am just a simple family man, trying to make an honest living. At the end of the day, being dishonest just doesn't seem right to me.
Iphigenia slowly sits her cup down, and leans towards Jason. She stares into his eyes, and shows a very faint smile.
Iphigenia: Ok, we'll then one last thing I ask of you. Kiss me, and this partnership will be official.
Jason, looking bewildered, leans away from Iphigenia, clearly uncomfortable with the request.
Jason: I can't do that ma’am.
Iphigenia: Cameras aren't rolling, who would find out?
Jason: I would know, for one.
Iphigenia: So, what you're saying, is you'd risk this partnership, over something as innocent as a kiss?
Jason: Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I'm a married man, and that's a partnership I value more than any business relationship.
Jason gets out of his seat, and starts to walk away, but Iphigenia motions back to the seat. Jason hesitates, but eventually takes his seat once again.
Iphigenia: I'm happy, you chose your morals. It shows you aren't just looking out for yourself, you could have easily complied, and nobody would have known a thing. But, you chose to do the right thing instead. I like what I've seen, continue this path you're on, and I'm sure I won't regret this decision. You're hired.
Iphigenia, and Jason shake, before Iphy finishes her coffee. Jason escorts his new client out of the café so they can talk business.
