Avery Miles III watches four people inside of a ring. Two males, and two females. One male is teamed up with a female, and the other male with the other female. They are working a tag team match as Avery circles the ring watching closely.
Avery: Tag! Get that hot tag!
The female wearing the blue ring gear hits the hot tag to her partner as he slingshots into the ring and takes down the opposing male with a flying clothesline. He kips up and plants his feet. A superkick with a loud pop sound, and the opposing male drops. A cover.
Avery: One! Two! Three!
Avery mocks a referee as the two teams finish out the training match.
Avery: Okay. Great job everyone. Take fifteen. Come back. And we will discuss some weaknesses, and some positives.
The four of them head out of the ring and over towards a table that has water coolers and a fridge stuffed to the brim with plenty of hydration. Avery heads around the ring checking everything out, making sure there were no loose ropes and no obstructions on the ring aprons. Avery was an old school trained wrestler; wipes his boots on the ring apron before stepping in and pulling onto the ropes to make sure all feel "right" to him. He took the same care with his training at his Georgia wrestling school.
We were just goes away from NGW Warfare, the newest in a line of Devlin Scott creations, or varations, of professional wrestling. A match with four teams of four. The Destroyers, represented by Shields, Richards, Tillman, and Coda. The Guardians, represented by Cochrane, Rain, Nitoh, and Goldstein. The Midnight Horsemen represented by Billy Danielson, Scotty Latimer, Mason Moore, and Ruby Lance. And finally the team known just as Team AA with Alex Jones, Avery, Daisy Rose, and an unnamed fourth member.
Throwing their hat into the "team scene", Alex and Avery had already formed a sort of alliance together. Daisy Rose made sense as she and Avery's wife, Serenity, were already friends. Though, Mrs. Miles was also an interviewer for the Horsemen which is one of the couple of reasons Serenity bowed out from the idea of teaming with her husband. Perhaps at a later time, when everything aligns just right. But for now, Avery knows the plan ahead and prepares for Warfare.
Avery grabs a towel from his pocket and wipes down one spot on the apron, being sure it was to his liking. He finishes making sure that it was to his liking as he turns towards the camera and finally addresses his opponents.
Avery: Warfare is Sunday. The first in NGW's history. The same company that has hosted Rags to Riches. And will be hosting Trials and Tribulations, once again. And Warfare looks to live up to the hype. I mean, more than half of the roster is in this one match alone. That is something, no? Well I know that having three teams of four to somehow speak about can come out as a jumble, so let's go ahead and focus on two teams. Two very different teams. First off, The Guardians. A team that I am quite friendly with, but therein lies the issue. Friendliness. And they are too friendly. Sometimes you need to have a little edge. I know the AC can get the job done. I know that Josh has had some time doing things in less than friendly ways. But overall, the group is a little too bubblegum for my liking. I respect the hell out of them. Hell, Jessica and I had a little spat some time ago but things are much better now. And Jazmyn Rain? The future of this company, in my eyes at least. I've said this from the moment Devlin Scott signed her. I mean, it is for the best that Honey is not in this match. Unfortunately, I am sad that Alechs did not get to be a part of this. This would fit him perfectly; I am sure that he would be completely gung-ho for the team. I feel like The Guardians and myself can see eye to eye. If we do not win this match, big if mind you, I would not feel terrible if they came out on top. The Destroyers are a team filled with ego that covers up their talent. I know better than to disregard their talent. Hell, Jack Tillman is probably one of the most talented wrestlers and pure athletes out there. Period. And Shields was a long running champion for a reason, though he did use questionable methods at times. Coda is a force to be reckoned with and a future NGW Champion herself. And our current champion, Kayla? What Kayla wants, Kayla gets... right? Well, it is Christmas time and sometimes it is better to give than to receive. And I am ready to give The Destroyers a loss. And a taste of knowing what it means to be out wrestled.
Avery hops up onto the ring apron as the trainees in the backgrounds seem to be making some small talk, and having a small laugh to themselves. Cars passing by can be heard outside of the front door to the school as it's location in the heart of Macon was one that just sort of happened.
Avery: The Destroyers. A group that has talent that is only overlooked because of their mouths for the most part. Well, at least for Shields and Richards. I understand that they consider each other family. And I can respect that. Family is something that is dear to me. And I am not going to talk about them being a family. They are there for each other, and that is something I have no issues with. What I do find issue with, first off, is Matthew Shields. A man that has left a sour taste in the mouths of so many people. People in what was once Redemption, and now NGW. People that were in Indy Pro. Matthew. This is New Generation Wrestling. Get over it. You helped to bring the company, no matter the name, into the forefront when Devlin re-launched it. I am not taking that away from you. But come on, man? Instead of wishing the company had a different logo and name, why not actually try to do something to further your own career? And stop wasting your breath and our time?
Avery shakes his head towards the camera, and looks down at the ground for a moment. He pauses, and looks back up at the camera as his thoughts continue.
Avery: Jack Tillman. A great athlete. But a man with a major attitude issue. You think that people that are not traditional wrestlers are somehow below you? I think that is a shit attitude to have. Sometimes a man or woman with heart can overcome a tough situation. Should all wrestlers be trained in amateur wrestling? Or MMA? Or get the shit beat out of them to the point of puking while they train? That is not for you to train. I personally take issue with how you've come after people like Trixie, Jazmyn, and Josh. This is not a matter of who is a better wrestler, but that you decided to cross the line. I am not here to defend them; they are all adults. Just try that shit with me, Jack. It ain't gonna fly.
He pauses for a couple of seconds.
Avery: Kayla Richards. You are the lesser of the evil that is Shields. You are champion. I respect what you've down legitimately inside of the ring. Cutting corners? Cheating? No. But I know that you are better then Shields. Everyone knows it.
He smirks.
Avery: And Coda. The one person in the group that is blinded to the rest of the family. Alechs saw something in you, Coda. You don't have to say anything. He told me that you were different then the rest of your family. Perhaps you will soon see the light of who they are. What happens when you come for the NGW Championship? Will Kayla and Matthew even allow that?
He crosses his arms.
Avery: Time will tell.
Avery stretches his arm out and taps his watch.
Avery: And that is my time. Horsemen... you are all next...
With that, the video ends abruptly.
