Vicente: Hello everyone welcome to another edition of Saturday Night Special live from the Taupo Event Centre! The building here is jam packed to capacity with a complete sell out!
Robbie: One thousand fans are here tonight to see the aftermath of Roto-Vegas Roulette. A new champion has been crowned and now we start the road to Birthday Bash!
Vicente: You are right Robbie and now that we have a new champion we now need to find a new number one contender. Tonight’s matches of Hayden Phoenix vs. Pat Gordon, Jr. along with Bronx vs. Tee Volland could have huge implications towards a title shot. We also have other great contests including Keith Nogato, Gabriel Cross, and Timothy Hunt all making debuts tonight!
Robbie: Don’t forget the huge main event.
Vicente: How could I? How could anyone?! Our main event sees for the first time in Anzac Pro Wrestling history a tag team of only New Zealand born pro wrestlers!
Robbie: Facing off against New Zealand champion Prince Wadjethotep and the show stealer Al Envy. The bulletSCARS invasion has begun!
Vicente: We will have to see later tonight Robbie but now I think it’s time to get this show on the road.
The camera angle then switches to the arena. Taking shots of fans and their signs. Plenty of people are waving to the camera but the whole arena’s attitude changes when “Egypt” by Mercyful Fate starts to play.
Robbie: Looks like this show is starting off with the champ!
Prince Wadjethotep makes his way from behind the curtain wearing shorts and a bulletSCARS t-shirt. He raises the APW New Zealand title high in the air before walking down to the ring to a series of boo’s although there are a small amount of fans cheering for him. Hotep walks into the ring and then is handed a microphone.
Hotep: You know I would say I hate to say it, but I don’t. So let me now say it with pleasure. I told you so!
This receives quite the reaction from the crowd.
Hotep: I have been telling all of you since the day I entered this company that I would be your champion. Now that day has finally come. I just wanted to come out here and let all of you know that I will not be some champion who hides behind this belt. No, I will be a fighting champion. The only issue is, there is no one to fight!
The crowd erupts in boos.
Hotep: The fact is that when it comes to all the top challengers I have beaten them. So now comes the time for a new one to be found. I’m sure Wayne and his cronies will have someone picked out by Birthday Bash. That is when I will defend the New Zealand title. Tonight however I have a bigger agenda. As most of you have heard by now at NGSE’s next big event Victory and Honor I will finally face off against Carmine Reaper.
The fans do give a pop for this.
Hotep: Yeah fascinating stuff man, so tonight I get to show one of NGSE’s finest a lesson first hand. The current NGSE Five Lakes Champion gets to face of with the APW New Zealand champion. Charlie Ngatai is going to learn a lesson tonight that he can take back and report to Carmine first hand.
Prince Wadjethotep just nods his head as the boos rain in.
Hotep: Then comes the part I have been waiting for. Reuben McCoy has been giving all the opportunities to be the man around here and has done nothing but come up short. Reuben has dug his own grave, tonight I make him lie in it.
Wadjethotep then drops the mic and exits the ring before walking up the ramp.
Vicente: Some powerful words there from our champ but now I think it’s time we head to the ring for our first match of the evening!
Joanna Tarzanna vs. Timothy Hunt
______________________________
______________________________
The match started out looking to be in Timothy Hunt’s favor. As the bell rang he rushed Joanna in her corner and began to rain down some serious blows. Things looked like they would end very quickly when Hunt caught Joanna with a spinning backfist that dropped her in the corner. Hunt pulled Joanna out of the corner and locked in a sharpshooter but Joanna managed to pull herself to the ropes for a break. Once Hunt was up he started laying the boots to Joanna. Joanna tried to avoid more punishment by rolling to the outside of the ring. Hunt was ready and landed a suicide dive on the Amazonian warrior that sent them both down to the outside. Hunt rolled Joanna in at the count of seven and followed in soon after. Hunt continued his assault for a few moments before scaling to the top rope. Hunt was looking to end things with the Cemented Legacy (Swanton Bomb) but Joanna put her knees up at the last second. With Hunt now on the ground and in pain, Joanna used this time to recover and get to her feet. Hunt pulled himself up near the corner and took a clothesline from Joanna which sent him right into it. Now in the corner Hunt took a series of kicks from Jungle Jo and was starting to look in dire straits. Joanna then went for the Pride of the Amazon (heart punch) but Hunt dropped down and rolled out of the ring to avoid the shot. This caused Joanna to climb the turnbuckle till she reached the top rope. Joanna then dove from the top to the outside landing on a standing Timothy Hunt for an improvised version of her Annabelle splash. The ref began to count but neither of them made it back into the ring in time.
Winner: Draw
Time:11:28
Vicente: What an opening contest there Robbie!
Robbie: Some real back and forth action there however we were unable to name a winner. We will have to see what the future brings for these two in Anzac Pro Wrestling.
“Tom Sawyer” then Rush begins to play and the camera switches to a full view of the entrance way.
Robbie: Who’s music is this?
Vicente: I don’t know but I think we’re going to have to look to find out.
A man then steps from behind the curtain. He looks to be in his early 60’s with salt and pepper hair and black thick rimmed glasses. He is dressed in a black business suit and is holding a microphone. A wide smile appears on his face before he begins to talk.
“Hello ladies and gentlemen. Some of you may know me. Specifically the older crowd. This isn’t my first trip to New Zealand. I used to tour here regularly back in the 70’s and 80’s. For those of you who don’t know me allow me to introduce myself. My name is Avery Quinn. Now there are those of you who are asking what exactly am I doing here. That one is easy. I have recently been appointed by Wayne Everett as the new general manager of Anzac Pro Wrestling. It is a duty I will not take lightly as I have already been doing everything I can to ensure that APW is one of the most exciting places in the world of wrestling. Let me dive deeper into that. I’ve heard Birthday Bash mentioned twice tonight by the announcers and the New Zealand champion, Prince Wadjethotep. However it is my duty tonight to inform you that Birthday Bash is not going to happen on August 22nd.”
The crowd then looks at Quinn in disapproval and starts to boo.
“Now, now. That is not the reaction all of you will be having in a few moments. There is a very good reason why Birthday Bash will not go on as planned. For those of you who follow the greater wrestling world outside of APW you would know that we share talent with a few different promotions. One of those promotions is 2nd City Wrestling based out of Chicago, Illinois in the United States. 2CW and Anzac both had supershows planned for August 22nd. However we have decided to postpone those in order to have a supershow...together. on August 22nd instead of Birthday Bash you will instead have When Worlds Collide!”
On the screen above Quinn’s head the logo for “When Worlds Collide” is then revealed with both the APW and 2CW logo’s. The fans then start to cheer.
“On August 22nd you will see the best talent from these two promotions in a joint show that will leave everyone on the edges of their seats. The Trusts Arena in Auckland has been chosen as the venue and I can not wait as it will surely be one of the best nights of wrestling in 2015. I thank all of you in advance and I hope you enjoy the rest of your show.”
Quinn then goes back behind the curtain and the camera cuts back to Vicente and Robbie.
Vicente: Did you hear that Robbie we have a new general manager!
Robbie: More like did you hear that we are going to be producing a show with the stars of 2CW! bulletSCARSmania will be running wild!
Vicente: They have plenty of other top tier talent Robbie like Sasha Foote and Death by Velocity.
Robbie: Either way it's going to be quite the event.
Vicente: The same can be said about our next match Robbie, let’s get to the ring for Vixen vs. the debuting Keith Nogato!
Vixen vs. Keith Nogato
_______________________________
_______________________________
The bell rings and both competitors came out of the gate looking for a fight. They exchanged a few blows in the center of the ring followed by Nogato grabbing Vixen for a headlock. Vixen tried to escape a few times prompting Nogato to flip her over with a headlock takedown. Nogato continued to wrench on the hold but Vixen countered by bridging and rolling Nogato into a pin. All Vixen got was a two count before Nogato kicked out but it was enough to break the hold. Nogato rushes after Vixen and irish whips her into the ropes. Nogato attempts a clothesline but it is ducked under by Vixen who returns off of the ropes and plows Nogato with a yakuza kick to the chest that sends him stumbling back into the corner. Vixen sees the opportunity and takes a lap around the ring looking for the Vix-centric Kick but Nogato powders out of the ring. Vixen still ever the optimist then sees another opportunity and rebounds off of the ropes looking to hit Zero Gravity (Suicide dive) but Nogato sees it coming and slides back into the ring. Vixen then feints a 619 and comes back into the ring to deliver a roundhouse kick to the jaw of Keith Nogato which drops him.Vixen looks to capitalize and goes to grab Nogato only to get pulled into a small package. Vixen kicks out at two but was nearly had by Nogato. Both reach their feet but Nogato catches Vixen with a couple of jabs that have her off guard. Nogato then slides behind Vixen and goes for a german suplex but she lands on her feet. Vixen then tries to get Nogato as she comes rushing in with another yakuza kick but Nogato grabs the leg and then spins her around for a blue thunder bomb. Nogato holds the legs for a pin attempt but Vixen kicks out at two. Nogato slaps the mat in frustration and then gets up. Vixen looks to be a bit dazed but is still in the fight. Nogato approaches Vixen and is caught with a roundhouse to the stomach that doubles Nogato over. Vixen then hits Nogato with an axe kick to the back of the head that drops him. Vixen turns to the ropes near her and jumps onto the middle rope hitting a modified lionsault but lands knees first on the back of Nogato. Keith screams out in pain but it doesn’t seem to be the end of it as Vixen grabs his legs and head and pulls him over for a bow an arrow stretch. Nogato looks to be in some serious pain but with the ropes in close proximity he manages to grab hold of one of the ropes. Now freed Nogato tries to get away. He scurries away from Vixen who then rushes after him. Nogato does a baseball slide between the legs of Vixen and then jumps up behind her and places her in the bump and grind. Vixen looks to be in a bit of trouble as Nogato has the full nelson locked in tight. Vixen then sees an opportunity and stomps hard on the foot of Nogato causing him to let go. Vixen then runs far enough away to get some distance between the two. Nogato is checking on his foot when Vixen comes running at him full bore. He looks up in time to catch a John Woo dropkick that sends him flying with force into the corner. Vixen sees this as her chance and runs a lap around the ring and hits Nogato with the Vix-centric Kick! Nogato falls out of the corner and Vixen rolls him over for a cover and the count of three.
Winner: Vixen
Time:16:47
Vicente: Vixen is back ladies and gentleman! What a victory here tonight that puts her back on track!
Robbie: Keith Nogato is a man who is just working off some ring rust. If you think this loss is going to keep Black Elvis down then you are dead wrong. This man is going to be a champion in APW someday!
Vicente: It was quite the showing from Keith Nogato I will give you that Robbie. If the man continues to put on performances like that he will surely have a bright future in APW. But now what does this win mean for Vixen? The road to When Worlds Collide is sure to get interesting. Now we are on too our third match of the evening and our final match that will debut a new talent. Gabriel Cross will make his in ring debut against Isabella Rossi!
Robbie: Isabella has been on a roll both in APW and NGSE. Gabriel Cross may look tough but he’s going to have to bring his A game if he wants to be the final NGSE XX champion.

Isabella Rossi vs. Gabriel Cross

The bell rings and the two lock up. Cross shoves Rossi off and drops her to a seated position with a stiff european uppercut. From the ground Rossi lifts her leg and shoots it forward as hard as she can driving the heel of her boot into the shin of Gabriel Cross. Cross yells out and instantly grabs his leg. Rossi gets up and connects with a dropkick that sends Cross to the mat. Rossi goes for a cover but only gets a one count. Once both are back to their feet Cross strikes first with boot to the gut followed by a suplex. Cross follows it up with a chin lock. Rossi uses her legs to pull herself to the bottom rope which causes the referee to call for a break. Cross does as the ref asks and lets go. Cross grabs Rossi but is then shoved off and lit up with a series of knife edge chops. Rossi then whips Cross into the ropes and catches him with a leg lariat that sends him to the mat. Rossi goes for another cover this time getting a two count. Cross seems to be aggravated and looks to go on the offensive with a series of strikes then an irish whip into the corner followed up by a back elbow. Cross looks to be gaining momentum. As he runs back into the corner again to deliver another blow Rossi counters with a drop toe hold that sends Cross crashing into the second turnbuckle. Rossi flips him around then runs in a quick circle before heading back for the ropes to get Cross with a bronco buster. Rossi then leaves the corner and plays to the crowd while laughing. Cross looks to have had enough and rushes from the corner aiming to get Rossi with The Act of God (superman punch) but Rossi connects with a Phoenix Effect like superkick to the gut of Cross knocking the wind out of him. While down Rossi then places Cross in the Phoenix Lock in the center of the ring. With no way out in sight Gabriel Cross taps out.
Winner: Isabella Rossi
Time: 8:53
Vicente: Another win for Isabella Rossi!
Robbie: She is on fire right now V, in both companies!
Vicente: This is quite the roll she has been on but where will it put her next?
Robbie: That’s a good question V.
Vicente: But right now the big question is was Bronxy V’s win at Roto-Vegas a fluke? This may be the match to answer that question!
Robbie: With the two being in a leather strap match the normal rules didn’t apply. So did Bronx shine because of the stipulation or is he really the better competitor. We are about to find out in the Roto-Vegas Rematch!
Winner: Isabella Rossi

Bronx vs. Tee Voland

The bell rings and the two give each other a nod as they meet in the center of the ring. They lock up and Bronx quickly gets Tee in a hammerlock which she counters out of with a series of back elbows. Tee shoves Bronx back into the ropes and when he comes out she quickly brings him over with an arm drag. Tee holds onto the arm and keeps it locked tight in an arm bar. Bronx reaches a leg out to the ropes but Tee stands up and pulls him out to the middle of the ring. Bronx then starts to shuffle and reposition himself. Eventually he shoots his legs up and flips Tee up and over putting her in a tight head scissors. Bronx squeezes tight as Tee starts to try and free herself. First she tries to pry her head free but Bronx has it too tight. She then starts to maneuver her body and lifts herself up. She then pushes herself out and once freed puts a huge stomp on the chest of Bronx which flattens him out. Tee then heads for the ropes and comes back with a big cannonball senton. Tee rushes back to her feet again and goes for the ropes this time hitting Dorothy's Ride (springboard spinning leg drop). Tee then covers Bronx but only gets a two count. Tee looks frustrated and and yanks Bronx up by his hair. She sends him to the ropes but when Bronx rebounds he catches Tee with a sling blade. Bronx leans on the ropes for a second catching his breath. As he turns around Tee is approaching him but Bronx cuts her off with the Hortonville Suplex Special #1. As Bronx is laying into Tee with a series of strikes she tries blocking them. Tee then shoots out her hips and her legs up in the air getting them around the neck of Bronx locking in her Sundown submission finisher (Arched back triangle choke). Bronx knows he can’t last in this for long so he starts making moves. Tee wasn’t able to bring him to the ground so he pulls himself backwards dragging her and reaches the bottom rope. Tee lets go but now appears to be quite angry. Tee grabs hold of Bronx and begins to set him up for Lights Out (¾ nelson leg hook reverse STO) but Bronx manages to free himself before catching Tee in the gut with a giant knee that appears to knock the wind out of her. Bronx then sets Tee up for Valescences Victory (Swinging reverse STO) and puts her down with it. Bronx covers her and gets the three count.
Winner: Bronx

Vicente: Another win by Bronx Valescence! Bronxy V only continues to rise here in APW!
Robbie: Tee was so close to the win here tonight, closer than at Roto-Vegas. I’m telling you tonight may not have been the night but she has Bronx’s number.
Vicente: Only time will tell Robbie but now it is time to get to our next match. Two of APW’s greatest mat technicians are about to have it out in the center of that ring!
Robbie: The real question is how is Hayden Phoenix going to bounce back after his title match loss and will this be Pat Gordon, Jr’s first win in APW?
Vicente: Let’s head back to the ring to find out!
Winner: Bronx

Hayden Phoenix vs. Pat Gordon, Jr.

As the bell rings the two men meet in the center of the ring and shake hands showing good sportsmanship. The two then circle each other and do a bit of catch-as-catch-can style grappling as both men struggle to get wrist control from the other. This leads to a Greco-Roman knuckle lock. Both men put all their strength into it. Each causing the other to have to bridge. Finally Hayden breaks one hand free and then takes Pat down with an arm drag. Pat pops up and then catches Hayden with an arm drag of his own. As both men quickly get to their feet the crowd breaks out in applause. This causes both competitors to smile and they give each other a high five. Now a lock up between the two. Pat ducks under and looks to get Hayden in a sleeper hold but Hayden swings his body to be behind Pat and lifts him up for a back suplex. Hayden goes for a cover and only gets a two count. Hayden pulls Pat up and eats a european uppercut for his troubles. Pat then brings Hayden down to the mat with a belly to belly suplex that his transitions into a chicken wing armlock. Hayden fights and gets to the ropes. Pat gives a clean break and the two are on their feet. Pat shoots a double leg on Hayden and gets it but Hayden refuses to go easy. Hayden starts to turn and give his back to Pat but pat swirls around him locking him in a front facelock. Pat wrenches the hold as Hayden starts to get to his feet making both men stand up. Hayden then pulls Pat in and pulls off a picture perfect Northern lights suplex with the bridge but only gets a two count. Pat tries to rush to his feet and takes a two handed bulldog for it. Pat looks to be stunned a bit which gives Hayden time to try and go for the Phoenix Lock but Pat gets to his back and uses his legs to push off Hayden which sends him flying. Both men try to get to their feet fast. Hayden charges Pat with a clothesline attempt but Pat ducks under and grabs Hayden from behind looking for the Sunday Morning Hangover (Backdrop Driver). Hayden fires off some right hands to the skull of Pat which frees himself. Hayden rebounds off of the ropes and hits Pat with a shoulder tackle that drops him to the mat. Hayden then rebounds off of the ropes again and catches Pat with a leg drop followed by a cover which only gets a two count. Both men are starting to look tired as they get to their feet. They exchange a few heavy strikes before Hayden attempts a Phoenix Effect (Superkick) but Pat sidesteps it and gets Hayden with the Sunday Morning Hangover. Pat then floats over and places Hayden in the Pat Lock . Hayden is wrapped up tight and the ropes are a fair distance away. He tries to push himself with his legs but he can only go so far before he uses his free hand to tap out.
Winner: Pat Gordon, Jr.
Time: 21:37
Vicente: Pat Gordon, Jr. has done it! He has won his first match in Anzac Pro Wrestling!
Robbie: About time.
Vicente: And with a win here over a former number one contender does that now put Pat Gordon, Jr. in that spot?
Robbie: There are plenty of people in APW who deserve that spot V, only time will tell who is going to take it.
Vicente: Right you are Robbie, now up next we get to see the New Zealand champion in competition for the first time since winning the title.
Robbie: This match is so one sided. bulletSCARS walk away with this one easy.
Vicente: I wouldn’t say that Robbie. Reuben McCoy and Charlie Ngatai are big men with big attitudes who don’t want to let the people of New Zealand down!
Robbie: Well then let’s just watch and see.
Winner: Pat Gordon, Jr.

bulletSCARS vs. Reuben McCoy & Charlie Ngatai
_______________________________
_______________________________
Before the bell even rings Al Envy and Prince Wadjethotep hit Reuben McCoy and Charlie Ngatai with the old pearl harbor job (Copyright, Gorilla Monsoon). The New Zealand based team is tossed from the ring and bulletSCARS follows after. They start a relentless beating even using chairs and the guard rails as weapons to assist them. The crowd rains down boos and expletives at Hotep and Envy who can legally do this because the match has yet to start. Then the music of Avery Quinn comes on which catches the attention of Envy and Hotep. The new GM tells the two if they like hanging out of the ring that much in the pre-match then they can stay there as he makes the match now a tornado tag. The crowd pops and Envy smiles, we assume Hotep does too but he’s got a weird looking face. However the smiles are soon wiped away as Charlie Ngatai bulldozes Wadjethotep over with a massive big boot. Reuben McCoy then rams Al Envy into the ring apron before catching him with a series of clubs to the back. Vicente makes a comment that maybe Quinn made the match a tornado tag because it could suit the team of McCoy and Ngatai better. Ngatai whips Wadjethotep into the ring steps with a loud thud. McCoy rolls Envy back into the ring and puts a knee drop right into the small of Envy’s back. Hotep catches Ngatai with a kick to the knee which drops him. He quickly gets hold of a chair and smashes Ngatai in the back with it which sandwiches him into the stairs. Hotep drops the chair and ascends to the top rope where inside the ring McCoy is taking it to Envy. Hotep calls McCoy out by name which makes him stop and look only to take a corkscrew moonsault from the champ that sends both men crashing down. Envy uses this time to get up and take McCoy and whip him into the corner. Envy unloads a series of vicious strikes that leave McCoy looking on dream street. Envy then calls for Wadjethotep to join in. Hotep darts for the ropes and thats when he is caught by Charlie Ngatai. Ngatai grabs hold of Wadjethotep but Hotep breaks free and uses the ropes to hit an enziguri on Ngatai which stuns him. Wadjethotep then climbs through the ropes to now be on the apron with Ngatai. Hotep unleashes a series of kicks but they only seem to make the big Kiwi mad as he grabs Wadjethotep by the throat and lifts him high in the air before jumping down giving Wadjethotep a chokeslam that has him land right on the apron. Wadjethotep writhes around in pain on the floor. Envy sees this happen and rushes to save his partner. Al gets a full head of steam and dives between the ropes taking out Charlie Ngatai. Those two men now start brawling on the floor which gives Wadjethotep a chance to slide back into the ring where he things it is safe. Unbeknownst to Wadjethotep, Reuben McCoy is now up and looks to be back into it. He starts to stalk Wadjethotep, as soon as the New Zealand champ is up Reuben darts out of the corner looking for the Taiaha spear. Wadjethotep must have been aware however as when Reuben is coming at him Wadjethotep jumps and wraps his legs around the head of McCoy taking him down with a hurricanrana that he transitions into a triangle choke. Envy had already made his way to the apron but now see’s Charlie looking to get back into the ring to break it up. Envy kicks Ngatai in the face to back him up then springboards off of the ropes to hit the Envious Demise on the floor! McCoy is struggling to find a way out of the choke or to the ropes all while Wadjethotep squeezes harder. Only a few more moments pass before the body of Reuben McCoy goes limp and the referee calls for the bell.
Winners: bulletSCARS
Time: 26:19
Robbie: Just like the champ said he would he has choked out Reuben McCoy here tonight!
Vicente: This match started out unfair before the bell even rang with that vicious assault by Envy and Wadjethotep!
Robbie: I don't know what you are talking about! McCoy and Ngatai gave as much as a beating as they took! In the end bulletSCARS proved they are just that much better. Now Prince Wadjethotep has cemented himself at the top of Anzac Pro Wrestling and there is nothing anyone can do to change that!
The show then ends showing Al Envy and Prince Wadjethotep celebrating in the ring.
