Joshua Goldstein
Facing a Stoppable Force
-Off-Camera. The day after the last show-For the first time since he and Kaylee lived together, Josh doesn't wake up for training. He snoozes the alarm a few times before just shutting it off. He was not in a particularly great mood. Kaylee leans over and slowly shakes him.
"Joshie. Hey. Wake up babe. The alarm is going off." Kaylee says, a touch concerned as Josh was usually up and super active by now.
"I... I think I need a day..." Josh says, his voice not full of its usual energy and happiness.
"A day for what? Because you lost? You are better than that." Kaylee says, considering yanking the blanket off of him.
"Am I? I showed up and told everyone Ronnie and I wouldn't be a joke and look at us. The first team eliminated on the first show. I just...really. Just a day. Just a day to decompress." Josh says, Kaylee
"Okay. Well we can decompress together. I've done pretty shitty myself." Kaylee says before she kisses him. "So... order food in? Binge watch Luke Cage?"
"Later. Cuddles. Josh want cuddles." Josh says. Kaylee grabs his arm and wraps it around her waist and nuzzles into him.
"Like that?" She asks. Josh kisses her forehead and nuzzles her neck a little.
"Yup. I'm feeling this." Josh says contentedly.
“Me too.” Kaylee says. She drifts off to sleep and Josh just holds her.
“One of these days....I'm gonna marry the heck outta you.” Josh whispers to his sleeping girlfriend before he too closes his eyes and slumbers.
-ON-CAMERA-
Joshua Goldstein is sitting in his game room. There are shelves upon shelves of retro games and accessories. Josh is wearing a 'Rush' t-shirt and his usually wild Jewish mane is actually back in a ponytail.
“Hi RC. Hi, Daisy. It's nice to see you two again. As I've mentioned previously, I like you two...but right now I have something to prove so when that bell rings it certainly isn't going to feel like I like you. I am going to pull out every single stop that I can to beat you. I am going leave every bit of myself in that ring to insure that it is mine and Ronnie's hands that get raised after this match.” Josh says.
“You see, If Daisy and RC have anything to say about our accomplishments compared to theirs, I'll remind them that the Radicalliance never kept their titles off of a countout loss. Our matches always had VERY conclusive endings. So I guess you're right, I'm not expecting to face the same team I faced before. The team I faced before wouldn't be patting themselves on the back for keeping their belts on a countout. I certainly hope that isn't the version of this team I'm going to be facing as the previous version is one that I could respect. I'm sorry if that comes across as mean, but I'm trying to get you two to be the tag team champions I know you can be and right now you both are looking very VERY stoppable and as far as Ronnie I go? We are looking to establish ourselves as the Immoveable Objects of the Tag Team world. And do you know what happens when a Stoppable Force meets an Immoveable Object?” Josh asks.
“Splat.” Josh says simply.
“I'm confident. I'm confident in my training and my partner. I'm confident that my opponents, as capable as they are, are going to look like a cantelope slungshot into a brick wall when this match is over. Very Stoppable Force? Meet Immoveable Object. You two have gotten lucky until now. It's important you realize that and learn to use your skills and not depend entirely on your luck. Glik on saichel iz a lecherdiker zak. Luck without sense is a perforated sack. See you both in the ring. Best of luck to you both.” Josh says.
