Hunter looks to get his feet wet with the NGW Roster.
The words fill the screen for about fifteen seconds, then slowly a phone is pulled back from the camera and we see Jason Hunter. He's sitting inside the Phillips Arena, staring down at the crew as they set up the ring. He's dressed very simple, jeans, one of his t-shirts and a black hooded sweatshirt.
"Looks to get his feet wet with the NGW roster? Is that really how this is being looked at? Not me getting an opportunity to prove why I belong in NGW. Not me getting a big match that could automatically make me part of the roster. No mention of the fact that I was chosen for this position. Juliana DiMaria, not chosen for this opportunity. Donovan Basch, not chosen for this opportunity. Danni LeBlanc, not chosen for this opportunity. Austen Blackwell, not chosen for this opportunity. Melina Garrison, she damn sure wasn't the one chosen for this opportunity. No, when a crises arose and Devlin Scott was in the position of being made a liar for the third time in the last month, and denying the fans something he had promised, like he did when he ripped the number one contendership away from Matt Shields. Well, he was smart and realized that there was no better choice than the West Coast Destroyer."
Hunter looks down as the crew is finishing up with the ring, putting on the special skirt for the event and making sure everything is tightened and set exactly where it needs to be.
"That is the biggest thing for me. Resurgence can see history being made. A milestone being reached. Resurgence can see The Destroyers, truly cement themselves as the dominant force in the company. Jack Tillman and Matt Shields can start the night off by claiming the now vacant tag team titles. Then comes my chance to bring the Spotlight title in to the fold. From there, Tillman and Coda simply need to defend their titles, and both of them are damn good at doing that. Then, with the main event, either Kayla retains or Matt takes the title, either way, it stays with The Destroyers. While that may be the biggest thing, I would be lying if I said it was the only reason I jumped at the opportunity. First off, it's a title opportunity. If it's presented, you take it. There's another reason though. I can't stand Mason Moore. My girlfriend I guess considers him a friend, but all I see is an arrogant, over muscled moron. It also doesn't help that I'm pretty sure he defiled her. Sure it was before we had even met, but it's still a disgusting thing to think about."
Hunter stops and shudders slightly as he tries to hold back a bit of vomit.
"Even if that didn't happen, I still don't like the guy. Another bonus, this is another chance for a Destroyer to put a Horsemen in his place. Imagine this, all three Horsemen, not only losing, but losing title matches. Losing title matches to The Destroyers. That is music to my damn ears."
Hunter stops for a second and turns his head as he holds his hand up to his ear, pretending to listen to something.
"Now, Daisy, don't you dare think I have forgotten about you. The thing is, I honestly don't have much to say about you. Your record is a singles competitor is pretty damn pathetic, you were off for a very long time, and if I'm being completely honest with you..."
Jason stops for a second and takes a deep breath, followed by two short ones as he looks straight up.
"There's nothing about you that's really interesting to me. maybe this weird whole will they, won't they thing with Mason. Honestly, I think the two of you should just go ahead and fuck each other. Get all that shit out of your system, and stop making everyone who has to deal with the two of you, absolutely miserable. I have no doubt that your husband is sick of hearing about how much you supposedly hate Mason Moore. No doubt that Mason's new girlfriend or booty call or whatever the hell she is to him, has heard more than enough about you. Seriously though, that's all I have for someone who has never held a singles title, been off for close to a year, and who's former partner isn't even around anymore. Your big claim to a fame of winning the tag team titles, happened like fourteen months ago, and you no longer have anyone to try and help you reclaim them. You're not getting another moment of glory at resurgence either. I'm going to make the most of this opportunity, prove that I am the best wrestler in West Coast Genesis and force my way on to the New Generation Wrestling roster."
Jason looks down and sees that the crew has moved on and is working on finishing up the entrance area, getting all the lights aimed and run through to make sure all the color combinations and spotlights are working.
"I would like to get that pin on Mason Moore. I dislike him a lot more than I do Daisy Rose, and he also happens to be the champion. Still, if the opportunity arises to pin you Daisy, I'm going to take it and I will raise that title high over my head, proud and victorious. That is what a Destroyer does. That is what a Hunter does. That is what I will do."
Hunter looks straight ahead, then reaches down and pulls up a small legal pad.
"Now, it's time to add two more names on to this."
Jason takes a pen as the camera moves over his shoulder and watches him add Mason Moore and Daisy Rose on to his Endangered Wrestlers List.
