Alex sighs and looks down at his hands, he opens and closes them to get the blood flowing as he seems to close his eyes and go through his words carefully. Alex’s long hair is tied up and back, his beard a bit longer and scruffy.
“I keep getting the question on social media, in my e-mail, on early morning radio and TV while doing press for NGW. Why Alex?. Why did you walk away from an NGW title match to have a match with Avery Miles?. Why did you give up a chance to end Matt Shields, To end Kayla Richards and win your third world title in two years?.”
“Look, I can tell you all right now that the NGW championship isn’t going anywhere. The NGW championship is going to stay in this company and the company will stay open. No matter how much Matt Shields pisses and bitches about the “death” of redemption”. And hey Matt can sit up late at night and watch the tapes of the company that lasted a year and cry like a little bitch before using his tears as lube to beat off over his title run, but the rest of us live in the here and now and get on with our lives and careers cause unlike Matt Shields guys like me and Avery Miles aren’t crying bitches clinging to relevance by following around three younger more talented performers…”
“And that is why I wanted to take on Avery again. See a year and a half ago he and I stepped in the ring for a title that meant alot to me and should have meant a lot to him and one of the reasons why things never worked out how they should have washed my ex wife.”
“See for about 6 years I was neutered and had my balls cut off and placed in that bitches handbag. She wanted me to take shortcuts just like she always has in her life and unfortunately cause all my blood was in my dick instead of my brain I followed her around like a lost puppy and did her bidding. I turned my back on who I was and when she and I split it was like a veil of stupidity and hatred was lifted off me and while she continues to be a loudmouthed backstabbing bitch publically and privately I’m back to who I was always meant to be….”
“See I’m a warrior. I’m all about going out there and putting it all on the line to prove myself to the fans, to my opponents and even to myself. I don’t want to take shortcuts, I don’t want to cheat. And when Avery and I first got in the ring together in Redemption he was a guy that brought out the best in me. Much like Damon graves did,”
Alex pauses for a moment and strokes his chin with a laugh.
“And see thats why I have to face Avery again, he brings out the best in me and I briong out the best in him and in a few weeks time he and I will team up with our partners to step into war games against The Destroyers, the Midnight Horsemen and the Guardians. And to have a chance in this match and this concept we have to be at the top of our games, we have to be ready. And what better way to make sure he and I are ready for war against them...by going to war against one another?.”
“Alot of talk has gone on about how Avery and I speak about respect. And I do respect him and this business. I respect what he and I both can do in that ring. We’re both natural athletes and we both put everything we have on the line whenever we step between those ropes. You will never have a moment where Avery or myself will say “well hey I could have done more” after a match. If he wins or loses he knows he gave everything he had. Just like me. So when you watch Avery and myself out there on Resurgence just know that you’ll be getting two men and all they have to give. Their heart, bodies, minds and souls. We will leave it all out there and when the dust settles I’ll shake his hand and thank him…”
“See we aren’t like the Jack Tillmans of the world. Jack Tillman tells the world through his manager he loves the wrestling business, that he respects it, then stands with Kayla Richards and Matt Shields. Now the other teams in this match that Avery and I will be up against with our teams are fine, sure the Midnight Horsemen are out for their of concerns and Latimer and Danielson are kind of tools and I still question how Mason Moore pisses clean but all in all they aren’t the same vile self serving assholes the destroyers are….”
“The Guardians respect this business. They respect the sport of pro wrestling. That is what we need more of. That is why Avery and I want to team up and we have partners in mind, ready to go that will have our backs, that we can trust to fight alongside us and that will do a great job.”
Alex smirks and shrugs with a sigh, his upper body covered in an NGW shirt as he folds his arms over his massive chest.
“But before that, as I said Avery and I will get in that ring and beat the hell out of each other. We’ll leave our blood and sweat in there. The fans will cheer the commentators will lose their minds and we will prove why we are two of the best in the business today. And when that is done we go on to war games to victory and then...and only then will I focus on the NGW title. I don’t care who has it. Shields, Richards, Maverick or Cochrane. When the war is over….I’ll start a new one…”
