Prologue:
Sometimes you have to look back and wonder if a previous outcome will lead to a bigger reveal. Sometimes things don’t go your way the first time but with a second chance; you can right that wrong. All throughout my life; I wish I could go back and change many things but that’s just not how life works. Things didn’t go as planned when I lost to Adrien Cochrane in his home of New Orleans. You win some and you lose some but people always forget that even in defeat; it’s always hard to put me down for the count.
I’ve lost to wrestlers who people thought would finally shut me up and end my career for good but I’m still here. I am going to keep doing what I love doing despite what many people think of me in professional wrestling. That will start when I take on Aurora again at NGW’s November ppv; Resurgence in a two out of three falls match. Last time I faced Aurora in my debut match; I shocked the NGW world by defeating the multiple time tag team champion. This match even though I defeated Aurora before isn’t a tossup at all.
She is one hell of a competitor to go up against. Like I’ve said before about Aurora; she hits hard and makes you pay for every single mistake you make. She doesn’t let any mistakes go unpunished. I know that when we meet at Resurgence; she is going to give me a run for my money no doubt about that. I won’t back down from her, I didn’t before and I won’t now. Facing the same person over and over again does give you some benefits but at the end of the day; everyone can pull out new tricks from their bags.
On-Camera Scene: Round 2 vs. Aurora
Place: Local gym in downtown Detroit, Michigan
Time/Day: November 18th - 7:15pm
Travis Blake was seen working on the punching bag before one reporter came walking in with a camera man and walked over to Travis. They noticed that he was busy so they stood back and waited. Travis from the corner of his eye noticed them waiting. He sighed knowing his workouts always get interrupted but this needed to be done. Travis took about another 5-10 minutes finishing his workout before he returned to them with a towel around his neck and a water bottle in his hand. He proceeded to take a sip of his water before the reporter asked him.
Detroit Reporter: Hello Mr. Blake; I just want to ask you a few questions regarding your upcoming match against Aurora Graves?
Travis looked at her before whipping his face with his towel before saying.
Travis Blake: Alright then well……….I expect a good fight with her and I do believe she is going to want redemption (no pun intended) against me for defeating her in my debut match. Honestly I don’t expect nothing less from her because every single match she’s in; she gives it her all. She is one of those people I simply can’t come out and say the same generic trash talk every single time we face. That just isn’t going to work at all regardless how many times you face each other.
What I can say though is that I am fully prepared for the fight of my life. I truly believe she went back, studied me better and now is more prepared to take me down and might actually defeat me. I know people will say oh Travis you lost and brag as they continue their social justice warrior crap. Aurora Graves is a hell of a competitor and I know this two out of three falls match is going to steal the show.
The reporter replied with a simple question basically responding to Blake’s statement.
Detroit Reporter: This two out of three falls match; what kind of match is that and could you explain it to those who don’t watch professional wrestling?
Travis Blake: Well I suppose I could……
Travis sighs before continuing on.
Travis Blake: It’s pretty much goes like if I pin her and she pins me than it goes down to the deciding fall. Basically you have to pin your opponent two times in the duration of one match. I know sometimes two out of three fall matches aren’t the most popular in wrestling but I think it’s one of the most underrated matches. People are looking forward to all these other matches and the title matches but they could be overlooking the two out of three falls match with two of NGW’s best stars. Aurora has made her name known over and over again and is one of NGW’s founding members if memory serves me correctly.
Then you have me; a man who is trying to earn his place in this company. I may have lost last time against Adrien but that’s because I made mistakes I don’t plan on making again. This two out of three falls match is really going to tell me if I’m truly ready to take on the best of the best in this company. I look forward to take on Aurora again in hot Lanta. Atlanta is going to be the home where NGW takes this city by storm and what will people remember the most from this event?
They’ll remember when Travis Blake shocked the world once again and walked out or Resurgence with yet another victory over Aurora Graves. Thank you but I must be going.
The reporter nodes as Travis enters the locker rooms as the scene faded to black.
