#OOC I was told that no one reads these things, and that it did not matter. Whether people read them or not, I felt it was important to post it as it was the ending to a story of my character Alechs Aurelio. From seeing his brother die in his arms to opening up and discovering that family does not need to be blood, he is come through a long journey. It has been fun, but this is Alechs' goodbye that does not even feature him. Tone is Alechs' younger brother.
Honey opens the door in her pyjamas and hair just pinned up very quickly with a strand or seven out of place.
Honey: Hello.
Honey says rather quietly for her usual self.
Tone: Can I come in? We gotta talk.
It had been a few days since Hype and he knew Alechs did not come home. He was not sure what she did or did not know.
Honey: Yes. Of course.
Honey says letting him in for the first time to her dads home, passing the Honey shrine to the blanc du blanc white couch, the Vanderkoff Walter bought.
Honey: Is Alechs ok?
Tone sits down.
Tone: He talked to me before he left.
Tone pulls out the "Chico" hoody and hands it to her.
Tone: He wanted you to have this. I am sorry, Honey.
Tone is choked up.
Tone: He said he loves you so much. But he was never good enough. He felt like he was holding you back. And it was best that he left for awhile. My mom and I don't even know where he is.
Honey holds it very close, like a blanket to her and smells it while her eyes water up. All her work at trying to start to get over it washing away.
Honey: Alechs...
Tone leans forward and hugs her.
Tone: I am sorry Honey. I miss him too. I don't even know where my brother is. I am so afraid for him.
Honey: What if, like, he went back to his old ways with the guns and stuff.
Honey says looking at Tone thinking Alechs could be in peril or grave danger.
Tone: I don't think it's that. But I don't know where he is going. He asked that I make sure to check in on your. ANd to make sure to be there for you. Miss Alerie still wants to see you, if that's okay? I just...
Tone because to shed tears, hugging her tighter. He became close to Honey in the short time they spent together.
Honey: I miss him lots too. It's, like, my fault he ran away.
Tone; No it isn't, Honey. Don't say that.
Honey: I shouldn't have beat him at Dissension.
Honey says scratching at her wrist which showed a red raw rash that she'd been scratching it a lot over the days.
Tone grabs her wrist.
Tone: Honey, stop. You did nothing wrong. Has he been having issues for awhile?
Honey: Um, no. He's been very happy, like, we planned to go to see football and stuff.
Honey says looking at the hat he left behind on the table.
Tone felt much different from the way Alechs spoke.
Tone: You sure? He did not seem okay...
Honey: He wasn't, like, feeling bad. He was excited to spend time together, then the match and he wanted to break up.
Tone: He didn't want to break up. He felt like he was not good enough. He made that clear. He just... He was not himself, Honey. He loves you so much.
Honey: But why leave?
Tone: I don't know. I think.... he really was feeling not good enough. I never saw Alechs like that. I hope he comes back soon, Honey. But... I am still here. My mom is too.
Honey: Never?
Honey says listening and believes it was because of her that Alechs became depressed with not being good enough.
Tone: I don't know. I miss him as much as you do. I... I am sorry. I am in town for a few days to make sure to be there for you. So we can talk as much as you want?
Honey: Ok. I have been talking to some people to, like, try and keep my mind busy and stuff. I think that's the best thing because it helps to, like,... Move forward with life...
Honey sighs knowing it is what she has to do.
Tone: Want me to hang for a few days?
Honey: Um, I don't know. I moved back in with my daddies now because, like, it isn't the Casa de cubbies anymore. But, like, you can sleep there if you want to?
Tone: I don't want to intrude.
Tone lowers his head. Truthfully, he needed Honey more than she realized.
Tone: I can go back home.
Honey: You can, like, stay in the guest house and we can hang out there?
Tone: You sure?
Honey nods
Honey: I'm super sure.
He hugs Honey tighter as she can feel tears roll off of his face and onto her shoulder.
